The location of the property on the State Highway meant we didn't have to detour off the highway too far, before continuing our journey the next day. Found out that since the median barriers have been installed, you have to go about 2.5 kms before you can turn around to go back to Cambridge - for dinner or whatever. The llamas are a treat to watch, although none of them really wanted to interact.

The road noise is quite something, but once the doors and windows are closed it's not noticeable. The place could be cleaner - the bedside lights, and the shower, particularly.

I loved waking in the morning and watching the alpacas munching away in the rear garden as I drank my morning coffee. You can't hear the highway while in the cabin.

When travelling on the highway, you can miss the turn-off as you are travelling quite fast, and then you'll need to "do the loop". The closest place to turn around is about 1.3km down the road, do a u-turn and go past taking the turn off to Cambridge. The whole loop is about 5km all up.

The breakfast was nice. We had access to a living area with a TV in the same room that we had breakfast in. It was lovely to be surrounded by farmland and 10 friendly alpacas. The Thai theme in an English style house was endearing. We could come in at any time which was good as we were crewing at a nearby Festival. The outside bedsit type rooms with large ensuites looked great.

We had a front room so that heavy traffic noise from State Highway one was a bit noisy. The toilet was in the bathroom so wasn't accessible if another guest was using it. We did worry a little bit about security as the doors weren't locked, although I believe the manager stays onsite.

Suite was nicely organised - we had big bed, seating area and separate space with kitchinette. Some food was provided. The view to farmland, greenery and animals outside. My kid could feed and pet alpaca :) Location is close to Cambridge and 20min to Hobbiton.

Entrance from a road a bit chellenging, easy to miss on high speed. Location on google is correct but you need to watch really carefully.

The room was lovely and comfortable. We only stayed overnight. Quiet property with lamas wandering around the yard. We chose it since it was just a short drive to Hobbiton and we had booked the first Hobbiton tour at 8:20am. It was a much better option than the rooms that were available in Matamata. Wish we had time to stay longer.

Private, seperate accommodation with beautiful surroundings. You will need transport to get here as it is slightly out of town. Lovely selection of breakfast cereals yogurt, bread to toast with condiments. Nice touch having tea, coffee and biscuits. Will stay again if in Cambridge . Never met host great communication of how to gain access

The property is in a rural area very close to Cambridge. The unit is very clean, has a comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Continental breakfast is provided and ready in the unit. It is very private and you wake up in the morning to cute alpacas at your window. Highly recommend dinner at Thai Food Cambridge.

The room was wonderful with a continental breakfast provided, room was comfortable and warm. loved the Alpacas that are in the garden area. Would definitely stay again.

The only let down was the internet connection was very weak in our room and barely worked. I would suggest maybe a wifi extender.

Very fun place to stay. Who needs the TV when you can watch Alpacas all evening!! Clean and tidy enough for us, it is a farm stay so don’t expect anything sparkling clean. Really easy to find and get too from the highway, self check in & a friendly host. Also only takes 5 mins to get into Cambridge for some food. Overall a great overnight stay.

This place was perfect for our needs we were on the way back from taupo and was a great mid way point for us . The alpacas were super friendly and cute with a month old baby in tow . Our host was super nice and helpful even gave us a few avocados to bring home would stay again and peaceful with beautiful country view
