Lovely being so close to the park, had a nice evening walk before something to eat, easy walking distance to a good choice of eateries. Very quite from after rush hour, and liked people watching from our balcony 😁 room was spotlessly clean. Just what we expected

No body wash in the shower, so had to reach out and use the stuff next to the basin. Only 2 coffees in the kitchen. And a interesting thing happened to our room TV, when we were watching it, it hooked into our neighbors search, which was alittle x-rated for what we were watching. Funny to see what others a watching

The room upgrade was nice, a good size room with a balcony. Clean & in good condition. The lift from carpark level to room level is great. Stairwells & corridors always warm.

Parking (as always) is a very tight squeeze from the ramp at E to get to level F , & there is still construction going on (or not going on more like it) of G level, which you have to walk through to get to the hotel door, covered in wet black plastic, definitely not guest friendly or safe I'd say. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete floor, actually the floor might have been more comfortable . . . The property photo shows our 'Garden View' and the walk down wet black plastic onto G to get to the door. This work appears to be stopped as very little progress has been made since my last visit a year ago.

Room was large which was what we needed to repack for our flight the next day. While there was a main road outside, the noise was not too loud in the morning. There is a large Westfield shopping centre and lots of other restaurants 5 minutes drive away. Breakfast was delivered to our room and was very large, including cereal, fruit and a hot plate of food. The Monster Chicken restaurant downstairs had very nice meals. Only 15 minutes drive from the airport

The graffiti in the carpark was a little off putting and the ramp to the carpark level for the hotel was very difficult as it was quite skinny.

Great little hotel right on the edge of Hagley Park and just a short walk from the city centre and the large Riccarton Shopping District. The hotel offers a well equipped room at quite a decent rate. The manager was very friendly and helpful as we arrived a bit early after an international flight. Room was spacious, bed was comfy and bathroom modern with everything nice and clean. Location is great too if you don't mind a short walk. If you want to go further bus stops are within a couple of hundred metres too. Great spot. We'll be back when we come to Christchurch.

We stayed here for 2 nights in January. The room was very large, with a big comfortable bed, a nice sofa and a very big bathroom. There was on site parking, but the access was a bit narrow while using the ramp - but manageable. We arrived late and there was nobody at reception, but there was a phone number available to call to get info about access to the room. In the room, there was a letter asking us to register at the reception the next day, but there was nobody at the desk when we got there and, having already paid in advance, didn't go to the reception again - expecting to discuss at checkout.

Breakfast (standard NZ breakfast) was just ok, not very tasty though. When checking out, there was nobody at the reception although it was during the day (around 10am). We waited around for about 15 minutes, meanwhile others were waiting to check out as well. In the end, one of the other people checking out called and they were told to just leave the key cards at reception and that was it. It was quite odd to have nobody available to interact with at the reception, especially for a hotel.

I'd like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional service provided by the dedicated hotel staff during my recent stay. From the warm welcome at the reception to the meticulous housekeeping, every team member demonstrated a commitment to ensuring guests' comfort and satisfaction. The attentiveness of the staff stood out, as they anticipated needs and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The courteous and professional demeanor of the front desk staff created a positive first impression, setting the tone for a delightful experience. The housekeeping team deserves commendation for maintaining impeccable cleanliness, turning each day into a retreat. Their meticulous attention to detail did not go unnoticed, enhancing the overall sense of comfort and well-being.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, central and easy to get around the city. The free on-site parking (while a tight squeeze) is a great bonus. The room was great and exceeded my expectations with plenty of space and more facilities than we required.

The hotel car park is difficult to negotiate with several tight turns that required reversing at times to get through. The staff were almost non-existent. We arrived around 6pm for check in to find there was no one at reception. Likewise, no one to be found in the morning for check out at 9am despite the letter which was left behind the night before requesting that check in be completed at 9am the following morning.

Great room size, nice view, excellent location next toHagleyPark, loved the balcony, good parking, surprisingly quiet, comfortable bed and great size, good facilities, good shower pressure.

A very noisy heat pump (couldn't keep on at night), and otherwise mainly little things- only 2 teaspoons was annoying, no dish cloth, more drink sachets would have been appreciated, shower needs tightening so it stays in position.

The location is excellent with Hagley Park/Botanical Garden across the road and the city square only a 20 minute walk away. The room was spacious, with generous natural light. Although on a busy intersection the double glazing

The outside entry /signage appeared dingy. The car park had a lot of litter. The reception area has a strong smell of a kind of cleaning agent. The double bed looked very comfortable but it sagged on the left side and one of the window blinds would not pull up evenly.
