I booked and rung 2 minutes later to confirm the booking, the person was very helpful and confirmed it and told me the key would be I'm the table and door unlocked because of our check in time. The room was beautiful!! It was very clean and the bathroom was huge. The best shower I've used before, the beds were also very comfortable.

We were in room 6 a corner unit. We unpacked and went to the supermarket, when we got back theree was a 4WD and large van parked either side and my SUV couldn't fit so I had to knock on the neighbours door to move his van, if the vehicles were smaller it wouldn't have mattered. Not a biggy but didn't like knocking on a strangers door at 10pm

Property was easy to find, check in process was super easy and quick. The room we booked was exactly as promoted in pics shared and met our needs ie; size, privacy, comfort. Although located on the main road, room was amazingly sound proof. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Would have been helpful to have info on recommendations for best food places to go to as well as extra toilet paper rolls due to the size of the room booked and the number of guests. Other than that everything was great!

Customer service delivered by all staff we encountered was exceptional. We especially loved the welcoming, caring and friendly manner that Sarah (housekeeping) greeted us with. She made us feel comforted at a particularly stressful time as our whānau deal with being displaced from our kainga due to cyclone Gabrielle. I made this booking due to work combined it as a break for my daughter & moko without knowing that emergency housing has been provided here for other displaced whānau. What a lovely caring peaceful place to seek refuge. Wish we could have had our whānau here. The free laundry is outstanding and was very much appreciated. The spare carpark was great too. I booked an extra night for my daughter to stay after I left - thank you for making it possible for her to stay in the same unit. Our stay at Alfresco lifted our spirits at a fragile time.

There was nothing we didn't like

Good service delivery by Alfresco they rearranged my stay at short notice. In addition they supported with a USB and WIFI access. Polite and supportive. I liked the outdoor space - green area with a pergola. Laundry area also available - so overall good value in clean surroundings.

There was no area that I did not like therefore - not applicable to my experience.

The owners are absolutely accomodating and helped me. I changed my check in date so many times and they were only but happy to qork with me at anytime and I changed it so many times. I also had to extend my stay and it was no problem for them. The cleaners are efficient and you would never know that they are cleaning.

Its a little bit to far from towns and shops

We just turned up the first time for a funeral they were really nice sn polite and had to get a room with a disable shower. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Loved it so much that we re booked for 2 weeks later when we had planned to originally planned to go to gisborne to visit family. Anytime we going back to gisborne we will be booking back in there every time.

Where do I start? My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly. The laundry room was free to use. The TV had Netflix, Disney, Neon, Prime and all the channels we wanted to watch. The Spa Bath wasn't like the bug triangle ones you see in the image...But instead we got one in the shape of a regular Bath, however, this Bath was much better! The jets were great, the bath was deep and it was fasts to fill up! The hot water never ran out! And the aircon was amazing in the summer.

We didn't dislike anything. It was an excellent stay! Maybe just a recommendation? -We moved our single bed on the same side as the double bed so that we could all watch the TV. Side note: we randomly found a small White Tail spider on the bed...the rooms were very clearly clean, so it must've snuck in from outside...but we quickly took it outside and threw it in the bushes ^_^ no problem at all, and the staff were very helpful in giving the room a spray down just incase

The staff were excellent and friendly; the kitchen was fully equipped and milk, water etc were replenished daily if required, there was a washing machine and dryer for our use; parking was right outside the door.

The tv was a bit tricky at first with no instructions to follow but we managed to work it out in the end.

Even though it was on a busy road it was very quiet. The road was direct route into town.

As the room was for three there was only 2 dining chairs. no arm chairs or couch. room was probably a 2 bed and they have tried to put an extra bed to make more money with out thinking of the customer's comfort.

Room was well presented and very comfortable for a couple. Room was suitable for a person in a wheel chair. Room also had a connection to the adjoining room if required.

There is limited outdoor space for relaxing in the sunshine
