We found our room at the Woodstock Hotel to be the best of our whole trip! It felt like the accommodation had been recently built as it was quite modern, the room was large, the bathroom was spacious and the bed and pillows were the best we'd found on the trip and perfect for us! We enjoyed being able to take our meals back to our room from the bar and chill out there. The location is a quick 5 min drive from downtown Hokitika and the view of the river is amazing! We preferred staying here to being in town anyday!

I needed a place to stay after a big running race event and this unit was perfect and a reasonable price too. It had a nice comfy queen sized bed, your own bathroom with a decent nice hot running shower. There is a good sized fridge, microwave, jug for making hot drinks, and a toater availble to use as well. The T.V had all your basic freeview channels and as a bonus Netflix and Youtube. There was a food menu there too if you wanted to go across to the main hotel and order something.

A little bit of noise as expected from the next door unit - but nothing to keep you awake. Also some people who were at the hotel had parked over by the units, so maybe this area should just be for people staying there?

The hotel was easy to find and had great parking right outside the rooms. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed for our short stay. The beds were comfortable and warm with extra bedding and blankets should you need them. As we arrived on a public holiday the pub wasn’t open when we first arrived to check in, but with a quick phone call Colin came straight out to greet us warmly and deliver the key!

It is a motel hence, we were not expecting much, but it is a nice transient place as it is charming from the outside just how booking.com pictures showed online. The shared balcony and parking right in front of the room are important to us. We can see our rental car and were able to move our luggage in and out of our room easily. The bathroom is spacious. Surprised that the bed is comfortable especially for a motel. We also like the Woodstock Restaurant as it served as the reception area :-) We had a couple of drink right after check in. Relaxing al fresco right outside the restaurant. The West Coast treetop walk is not far from this motel.

I would say the location, as we did miss our turn and we had to go around in circle finding the place. It is about 10-15 min away from the center of the town if you like to eat out. The motel restaurant is an option and it has a nice city view if you sit outside.

Room was very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and netflix on the tele was a bonus! Only about a 10 minute drive into Hokitika which is a lovely little town. Great stay

The only thing I would say is not having a sink in the kitchenette area. Washing up had to be done in the bathroom sink.

We had a great stay! The cabin was super modern and spacious with a huge bathroom. The shower had great pressure. Beds were super comfortable and lots of pillows, which is always a plus! It was nice being opposite the pub. Had some great food and dessert + tried the local beers. We even arranged for an earlier check in which meant we could go mountain biking without worrying about all our stuff in the car. Thanks so much!

Another sliding door unit. Never had these before, they're kind of growing on me. The unit was really spacious and the bathroom was huge. Everything seemed in excellent shape or newly remodeled. Bed comfy. Check in in the restaurant / bar.

Be cognizant that you are not in the downtown area. So if you don't have a car it can be difficult getting groceries etc.

The hotel was only 50m from the unit but it was quiet. Plenty of free parking. It was clean and roomy, we slept well. Also fairly well priced.

Not the best location. A few minor items would make it more homely. Such as some coat hangers, bed lamps (ceiling lighting was very bright), rug for bathroom floor and some shelving or hooks in both rooms.

Love the new renovations they made to the place. It truly is a wee little gem. Amazing and friendly staff. It's the only place I'll stay when in Hokitika. Thank you to everyone at The Woodstock.

The heater kept me up. But this place is still my favourite place to stay when in Hokitika.

This place is a little gem. Nice, quiet location, a huge bathroom, very clean, excellent food at the pub next door and a 10 minute drive into Hokitika. Highly recommended!
