Great staff, clean, modern, great Italian restaurant downstairs...

Advertised as having good views; which it probably does from some rooms. Mine, however looked out onto two large rooftop air-conditioning units and commercial buildings. Most hotels have an 'oceanside' room, which costs more than those without a view. There was no indication when I booked that my room wouldn't have a view. Also, my room had a 'disabled' bathroom and kitchen counter, which I didn't want or request. I don't mind that in a $150/night motel, but in a $350+ hotel room, that was disappointing. Also, it was quite noisy. Ongoing drone from said air-conditioning units, plus the guest next door was snoring all night. And, my room was next to the laundry, and the door to that was being opened and closed quite a bit, which created noise. So poor acoustic insulation.

Everything was clean and new, we got the kind of room we needed and booked, and we had a lovely view of the suburb and the mountains. The hotel is across the road from a park and an easy walk to the river and the shops.

Even though I booked weeks ago and ticked the box for parking on booking.com, they didn't have a parking space available for us when we arrived. We drove, and my mum's pretty elderly, so walking a couple of blocks to and from a carpark a few blocks away wasn't a great option. Luckily, there happened to be a free spot out the front and the parking meter wasn't too costly, but they need to fix their interface with booking.com, to prevent this from happening for future guests. Also, while the room was very nice and had a lovely view, it did feel a bit crammed.

The suite was great with an oven, stove top and dishwasher. This was great because I could buy all my weekly food from the grocery store and not be reliant on eating out 3 times a day. The spacious room was perfect for my trip and was clean and modern. The garden view was nice and the location was perfect for my needs.

Cost of the open air carpark was too high and the gym is not actually on site, it's 300m away. The gym is Snap Fitness which was old, poorly maintained, worn out and small. This is no fault of the hotel though.

The location was perfect, the room was a good size for a few days and the decor is lovely and the beds very comfortable. Love the king-size pillows.

Whilst the perfumed air used in the hotel smells nice, it can he a tad overpowering in the room, especially when you can't open the windows. Also, the hair-dryer I had would not work unless I kept my finger on the power button. If this is how they ate designed to work, then you should replace them. Very difficult to use.

Great to have a safe, clean, comfortable and professional hotel in the heart of the Hutt. Staff were friendly and allowed me to check in early as the room was available on arrival. Cleaning was done well.

The kettle in my room and the TV didn't work on day 2 but I didn't raise this at the time because it wasn't a material issue and a public holiday in Wellington so didn't need to cause a fuss.

The bed was lovely, check in and check out were relatively easy. The place is clearly new and it feels modern.

The restaurant / cafe staff were generally poor. Not friendly or welcoming. The fact that they close from 3pm-5pm is odd. I can understand not offering food but, it is the only place the venue has to meet people so it is frustrating it is 2hrs of the business day wiped out. It is also weird you have to be buzzed in at night. Why isn't there a way to use your room card to get in?

Room was very comfortable with good space. Nice outlook and very clean

I was surprised for the money my room had a single bed to sleep on. It takes me back years. I have booked 4 nights at Christmas with my partner Gary McCauley he booked it from SanFran My biggest problem was I was unable to see my face using the magnifying mirror. I was way too high. The person on the reception tried to fix it for me, but it's not adjustable up or down I'll have to bring a stool with me.

The staff were amazing, the parking was simple The room was decorated amazingly and felt so cozy Room service was fast too

The only thing was I ordered room service and it gives you the option to pay now or charge to the room. I thought I would pay now as then it’s sorted. When I went to check out the system wasn’t sure whether I had paid for it yet or not. This doesn’t bother me at all, and I know they will be getting used to their system but for future guests this would probably be a nice thing to get sorted out

Breakfast was good , hotel made it clear that the cafe was a separate business with different owners than the hotel. For what we wanted the location was perfect.

Parking... We paid for parking , which could not be driven into from the from entrance of hotel. We arrived at nearly midnight , the only spaces in carpark where clearly marked for wheelchair only access , We had no other choice than to use one of these parks.
