Great location and view of the mountain, bus dropped us off and picked us up everyday for skiing from the front reception. Breakfast was very good and convenient before going up the mountain. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant had very good food. Walkable to town and locations within and around town. Room was very nice and cosy, everything we needed for our stay. Highly recommend methven travel to get to and from mountain and from CC as picked us up and dropped us off.

Visitors parking right against our door in our car space (we didn’t have a car). Made it a bit noisy, especially the gas replacement truck Fri morning.

The team member at reception was very friendly and took us on a tour of the facilities on arrival. The bar staff were just as friendly when we entered for a drink. They even gave recommendations for places in town to eat (besides rating their own restaurant as the best of course). The standard studio room was nice and clean, bathroom was lovely with heated tiles and the bed was very comfy. Great experience and value for money. Included a breakfast the next morning.

Can't really say anything bad about the place, though if it were a teensy bit closer to town, we may have been enticed to walk places more often. But, it was still only a 10-15 minute hike to town and around the corner from Opuke Spa.

Ski Time is a beautiful chalet style hotel. There is a large open fireplace in the dining room where delicious breakfasts, apres-ski drinks, and dinners are served. The food is all fabulous. We ended up having dinner there on both nights. I also loved the thoughtfully designed breakfasts, with a variety of food to suit all tastes. The rooms are warm, cozy, and spotlessly clean. It was really convenient being able to park right outside our room, especially as we had lots of gear being on a ski road trip. The staff are super friendly and it has a relaxed feeling, perfect for unwinding.

Ski Time is famous amongst our family and friends - it is a truly wonderful experience, the hospitality is warm, professional and incredibly good value. The food is excellent, the ambience amazing - just like the Swiss chalet ski lodges we enjoyed when living in Switzerland. I don't think I can think of any other property in New Zealand that offers this sort of genuine welcome, in such a European way. We try to stay at Ski Time as often as we can - in summer or winter - the views and local environment are incredibly beautiful. We enjoy the welcome, the food, the elegance and most of all the lovely personalities of the staff. They make this one of our favourite hotels!

I'd not change a thing.

This was my second stay at Ski Time, my first time travelling here alone. The hosts, and staff are all excellent providing first class service and spot on advice on things to do when weather prevents skiing. I would never consider staying anywhere else in the Methven district. On top of all this the restaurant provides top class meals, rooms provide spectacular views of the mountains and the lounge, restaurant and bar are cosy, friendly places to relax, eat and imbibe. For me it’s a perfect holiday destination.

Excellent staff, so so happy with there personality and attention to detail. One of the best services we have had. The lovely staff made it easy for my daughter who has just turned one. Dinning with ski time was easy as the lovely lady had a high chair ready with colouring pencils and drawing pad and kids meal menu ready. We were served quickly and great conversation through out the dinning. Our entries we had seared tuna which was absolutely perfect! Our main we had the steak 300g which was cooked to perfection, melted in the mouth and I choose the garlic butter with horse raddish. My partner had the salmon which was also outstanding and our daughter loved to try too. We sat right next to the open fire which is such beauty in itself, looking at the stone work and antique ski gear. As a family we had such an amazing time, we stayed one night but felt so refreshed and looked after. We have travelled alot of the world and staying at ski time was honestly one of the best because of the welcoming staff and outstanding food. Thank you so much. You made a wonderful birthday and mother's day. ❤️

We had a great time in Ski Time. It was convenient to us, as we didn't drive, so we got bus transfer back and forth the airport and Mt Hutt. Also, it provided breakfast and dinner. The food served was of high quality. The staff was very friendly. We also had a magnificent view from our window. Their shower was strong and great for relieving after skiing. We also enjoyed using the common room where we played snooker.

I would like to have more light in the room for evening reading.

This is not my first time staying here but this time I accidently booked their budget rooms and both my friend and I were pleasantly surprised. They were large, warm and comfy. If you travel with an ipad to watch TV on and are happy to make a coffee in the communal lounge than this is great value for money.

Not really a complaint but something less able bodied people should be aware of, the doors to the rooms are fire doors so they are extremely heavy. My friend was not able to open her door herself so we made a plan that if the fire alarm went off she should unlock her door, not panic and I will open it for her. The toilets (both in the room and bar/restaurant) do not cater for less able bodied people so if you require hand rails to lift yourself on or off this may not be a good choice for you.

Absolutely loved the super friendly staff. Susi and her team are amazing. Everything was super clean and tidy. The room service came daily. They have a washing machine and dryer you can use for free, a storage room for your ski gear etc and a drying room for your wet clothes, gloves and boots after skiing. A lovely guest area with a pool table and fridge. The breakfast/dinner area has a lovely cosy fireplace and great homemade jam. Nice short drive to Mount Hutt and the hot pools are just around the corner.

Buffet breakfast. Cereals and cooked breakfast options. Tea coffee juice. Presented beautifully. The room was basic, large and had everything we needed. No Tv but we didn't mind as we had devices. There was a tv in the common room which we watched in the morning with our coffee. Nice, clean renovated bathroom. Delicious dinner - we had lamb and salmon. Dinner and drinks menu priced well. Stoked with the drying room to dry our ski gear! A great place for large groups too.
