king and queen suites New Plymouth by FAR the best hotel we have ever stayed at, staff are phenomenal, so friendly and helpful, so many nice little details that make this place so special, the handwritten note in our room on arrival! the little booklet we received full of little coupons and recommendations of the town, excellent facilities in the spacey rooms, the comfiest pillows i have ever slept on, great parking facilities, great location, We will definitely be back. Our second visit here within a few weeks...so a different room but just as comfortable and delightful as the previous one! The rooms are so cosy....beautiful decor and all our needs catered for...mini fridge with soft drinks, snacks etc, wonderful selection of tea and coffee..and gorgeous bathrooms. The beds are extremely comfortable, big flat screen tv that was easy to work and lovely lighting throughout the room. The location is excellent with a range of really good eateries/coffee shops just a few paces from the hotel door. The hotel staff are so friendly and go out of their way to be helpful...very impressive.

Rooms were beautiful, comfy bed and pillows. I loved the little precinct of food around the hotel and that I could charge my meals back to my room at the hotel. Amazingly helpful for someone out of town to have such great restaurants nearby and easy to pay one bill - and the restaurants were quality too with yum food!! I also really appreciated how lovely every single staff member was.

The hotel is very centrally located in the city centre. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, eateries that are a part of the hotel complex, so easy to pop down from your room to get food, coffee, drinks. The boardwalk is a short walk down the road, a great view both morning and evening...great for dog spotting/people watching. Comfy bed, good shower, good little kitchenette. Perfect for a short stay in New Plymouth.

The biggest issue we had was that there was no window that could be opened to let in some fresh air/air flow. We relied on air con the whole time. Since the room was above the courtyard that is used by all the eateries, it's probably better to have the quiet though.

Great central location with lots of options available for restaurants and shopping within minutes walking distance of the hotel, even gave us a book of discount vouchers to use at the local restaurants. Loved the addition of the lolly dispenser located in the foyer in the evenings with free lollies available! Nice touch!

Nothing really except one of our towels had black spots on it, but lots were provided so just used another one!

Perfect location in the centre of New Plymouth with easy parking on site and plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes in the area. Very well appointed hotel with interesting decor, large rooms, comfortable bed and very clean throughout. The bathroom was a good size, with a very good shower. The room we were in would also be very suitable for people with disabilities. Reception closes at 9pm and then there is a side door to enter, which may be an issue if arriving late.

Wifi was free and OK, but not the fastest.

The Lobby set the style immediately. The Anniversary Suite was perfect; spacious, luxurious, clean and comfortable. Memory foam mattress. Quality carpet. Expensive coffee maker. Loved the bath and the rain shower. Quality toiletries and bathrobes provided. A small balcony overlooked an interesting courtyard. A voucher book for nearby restaurants and retail shops was good value, e.g. Social Kitchen for dinner and Monica's for breakfast.

The remote for the massage mattress was only discovered as we left...there will have to be a next time.

Everything about this hotel was stunning. The receptionist upon check-in was super lovely (I did not get her name, unfortunately) and provided us with complimentary prosecco vouchers for the neighbouring bar as well as a small booklet with the main details of the hotel as well as vouchers for nearby stores. The room was wonderful, spacious and had a view of the beach. They also had extra bits in the room such as a jar of dried lavender to promote sleep, local tea bags and coffee grinds, and a cute note that wished us a wonderful stay and came with a bar of chocolate. Checking out was just as lovely as checking in - a very wonderful place to stay.

Very handy to boardwalk and lots of attractions are walking distance. My husband and I enjoyed cycling thanks to the complimentary bikes. The room was clean with new amenities. I am really thankful and delighted with the room upgrade. The toiletries are of good quality. Though they do not have their own restaurant and gym, we were given a coupons you can use with the restaurants nearby and we can go to jetts gym for free.

No free toothbrush and toothpaste but that’s not really major.

All the staff we encountered were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was upgraded at no extra cost, we didn't expect that and was a lovely surprise. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and the location is perfect. It was our second stay and we will definitely be back.

We can't fault our stay. There was nothing we didn't like.
