The Kea Cabin at Heaven's Rest was more than we expected. Set near the main house next to the vegie patch on its own little private spot. It was modern, clean and well appointed with everything we needed, plus it had the best linen on the bed(s) and stocked with amazing breakfast food including locally made toast spreads and fresh eggs. The main bed was dreamy comfortable and second pull out sofa bed a breeze to set up. It provided the best bathroom/shower products and the option to buy other personal hygiene and care products if necessary... such a great idea! The decking for our morning coffee and double hammock for chilling were added bonuses to this awesome little pad. The main house is gorgeous and welcoming. There is access to the Spa, which we'll take advantage of next time. The beauty and serene setting of Heaven's Rest was a treat. We loved it!

The only niggle was the short gravel road access to the property off the main road isn't lit at night.

Everything , The views , The bath next to the master bedroom was perfect it was such a good size, the tvs all having chrome cast was super handy. Wifi was great. The provisions delicious juice perfect eggs. The staff were so Lovely even offered to take our boy to feed the chickens he absolutely enjoyed it! So thankful for our stay.

There was a few ants in the shower in the Tui wing, there were also ants on the rug in the main lounge. There was a very slippery spot on the ground near the bench of the kitchen a few of our elders had slipped up on. Also the BBQ was not as clean as we would have left it on arrival. However not fussy people just some tips for next visitors :)

Quite remote and a funny driveway location. Otherwise clean and comfy.

The microwave was mounted rediculously high, meaning any container could not be checked without removing the container, a critical risk of spilling boiling liquid all over myself and wife every time the microwave was used. How hard is it to be sensible. They run a real risk of being sued over this. The bedroom design is not clever at all. If the athroom had been added at the end rather than squeezed onto the side, the bedroom couls easily be 1 meter wider all round.

Robert greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our exceptional suite. Everything was spotless. The room itself had a ginormous super comfortable bed. The bathroom was huge with a great shower. Next came the dressing room with lots of space. The bedroom space was excellent with lovely patio doors onto the veranda, which had plenty of space and places to sit along with a hot tub. On entry to the property you walked into a lounge dining space which was very large, there was a shared kitchen area with everything you could need as breakfast was included which was cereals, juices, breads with butter and preserves. There was also the option to have freshly laid eggs from their chickens. The outlook was idyllic with beautiful views across the fields beyond the house, and closer to home were Robert and Kurt’s very friendly and somewhat amusing goats.

Nothing, it was the perfect idyl to recover from our flight from the UK.

Heaven’s Rest was very stylish, clean and had every facility needed for a very comfortable stay, in fact we only planned on staying one night but it was so nice we stayed for a second night. The breakfast provided was plentiful and of excellent quality. The setting is very peaceful and the views are wonderful. Robert, our host, has gone above and beyond setting up these lovely cabins. I fully recommend Heaven’s Rest, the perfect end to our holiday in New Zealand.

I can not think of anything I disliked.

Comfy beds and generous breakfast. Everything was spotless and so quiet and peaceful even though it was close to the motorway felt like we were in the country. Host welcomed us and invited us to make ourselves at home. We were in the twin suite, 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms one had shower bath and vanity and then separate toilet and vanity unit. Ideal for us with 4 females. We had use of the shared lounge with comfy couches. Fridge even had a named shelf, milk and juices.

The gravel road when we turned onto it had a couple of potholes. Not a biggie unless you have a saloon car like us.

Our cabin had everything we could wish for. The living room was ample and the sofa comfortable, the kitchen was the best equipped we had on our journey, the bathroom was modern and super clean, the bedroom cozy and nice. The breakfast was plentiful and at disposal in the kitchen. The BnB is extremely close to SH1, 30 minutes away from Auckland airport, and yet we could not hear the traffic and felt as if we were on a farm. We stayed only one night and regretted we could not stay longer.

Heavens Rest is situated in Bombay (just off the motorway) just 13 minutes from our business trip location. beautifully appointed, private, spacious apartment with a private outdoor deck within the main house, communal kitchen for breakfast outstanding (huge, help yourself selection, including everything you like. The platter we purchased for friends is terrific. Excellent welcome and service from owner Robert, ease of entry day or night, and the beautiful peace and ambience. The best we've ever stayed at.

Very spacious suite within the main house with shared kitchen, living room and large deck. Beautiful scenery with goats, cow and chickens on the farm. Comfortable bed and large private deck. Close to town with lots of good restaurants and pub choices. Robert greeted us in arrival and provided helpful tips for enjoying the areas. Breakfast has a variety of options to help ourselves to.

Heaven's Rest B&B was magical!! Short drive from the Auckland airport to a beautiful property. Different options on rooms you can stay at. We stayed in the two bedroom suites. It was roomy, SUPER comfortable beds and pillows, and bathroom was fantastic! It's connected to the main house but so peaceful and quiet. In the morning, breakfast was available and we got to chat with other guests. Highly recommend staying here at any of the rooms available as it was such a friendly and welcoming place.
