Had not visited Taupo previously, so booked into a 1BR initially. Clean, comfy cute cottage Decided to stay another couple of days and do some of the activities in the region. Great location

I had arranged a late check-in. Unfortunately the office was closed by the time I arrived. Luckily my keys were available for collection. Address is not what appears on the Booking.com site, so it took me nearly an hour to locate the correct address. THE CORRECT ADDRESS IS 30 SORRENTO DRIVE, RANGITIRA PARK, TAUPO The address which is advertised on Booking.com looks like a church hall and is 3 blocks away from where I needed to go.

This property is like a Bach that has been in the family for a couple of generations. Not fancy but has everything you need. And for less than half the price of a basic cabin (with no amenities) at the nearby campground we got full kitchen, bathroom and 2 bedrooms.. The pool is basic but perfect for a cool off , we had lots of fun in it. The property is very close to Hula fall and Omuturere stream.

The property was perfect for the price range.

Large family room. The bedroom and toilet and bathroom were all separate rooms giving a homely feeling. Ability to hang out wet clothes on the porch.

Couldn't initially find the place. Location needs to be updated on internet-give correct street address as most travellers use navigation which just took us to nowhere. The toilet wasn't cleaned. One of the drawers in the freezer desperately needed cleaning. Could easily hear the person in the connecting room.

Friendly welcome. Lovely quiet room. I got moved as the shower was broken in original room. It had everything I needed, and more, and I wish I was staying longer. The bed was very comfortable.

I could hear (and see) the other guests in the room next door. The walls between very were thin. I received heaps of emails in advance of my stay.

Howie was awesome. Super helpful and ultra responsive with the couple of requests we had. We booked 2 bedrooms which turned out to be adjoining rooms so two bathrooms as well which was a bonus. Lots of room for 4 of us. Place was clean and had 1 heat pump in each room so kept warm. Undercover parking right outside the room was awesome in the bad weather. Surprised by the look and feel inside - better than we expected. We would come back.

Wifi is a bit weak and no Sky TV but we managed ok. There us obviously a lot of work going on around the place but didn't really impact our stay.

Lovely setting among landscaped lawns, trees, and mature plants. Great to sit out on a private deck in the sun after a day of diving and swimming. Nicely refurbished bathroom. Good LED TV and heat-pump and freshly painted throughout the villa. The villas are perfect for those who like privacy, a quiet setting, and spending vacation time in what is in effect, a small cottage rather than a hermetically sealed motel room. To be able to open french doors from the bedroom and lounge onto your own outside wooden deck surrounding the villa is a godsend on hot sunny days and evenings. The resident manager and one of the villa cleaners we so very helpful - even down to the cleaner giving my blasted car a jump-start when we were leaving (a failing battery not holding its charge!)!

Well, we missed an oven - we had a microwave and set of hot plates - so pretty good all the same. The free wifi didn't seem to work, and if it did, wouldn't accept a vpn to hide the information flow as it was an open unsecure connection .. but I used my mobile as a secure hotspot wifi. If wifi is offered -whether free or not, it should be a secure link and guaranteed to work 100%. But I don't want to make too much of this as mostly 4G/4G+ access was fine - which provides a minimally acceptable internet access via mobile hotspot service if needed - but not suitable for streaming. A shame the swimming pool wasn't open - but that was probably a COVID restriction. It's always been open in previous stays we've had at Huka Falls.

The room size was great. The bed configuration was as we requested (king & two singles). Everything we needed was there. It was warm and clean. Would happily stay again.

The compendium said that our room would be serviced, but it wasn't. However, when we asked for replacement towels, they were delivered promptly. For our stay we didn't need a dishwasher, there was space for one, so would be an added bonus if there was one. But really, we didn't need it.

Well appointed chalets, quit,comfortable bed

Cleaning needed to be better, dust and grime on the windows, shower had leaked and timber cladding was rotted,microwave didn’t work, frypans still had burnt food in them, only 1 fork in the draw, outside steps were very steep and narrow .

Loved the spacious rooms and layout of the cottages with verandas overlooking a garden setting.

Had booked because we thought there was a swimming pool which my daughter and her friend were very excited about. Was disappointing to find that it wasn't in use. Could see that this accommodation used to be the Huka Falls Lodge and so sad to see the tennis court, swimming pool, restaurant etc are now all mothballed due to the economic situation. No fault of Quality Suites at all, but probably best to say these facilities are not operating to avoid disappointment.

The address listed on Google and everywhere else does not match the actual address of Quality Suites Huka Falls, so found it quite stressful needing to drive around to find it. We found the place out of pure luck I think. Can the address be updated please? Otherwise, great value for money, thank you.
