My ratings are always relative to the amount charged, so as this is a fairly budget motel, it rates very highly. Everything you need, and the bathroom has been updated. Kitchen has a modern 2-ring hob. Appears well kept and furnishings are good. Really friendly host who showed how to work heating, TV.

It's on the main highway so as expected you are going to get loud traffic noise, esp trucks. Older motel so not double-glazed so noise is quite loud. One thing that was odd was the bedding: top of duvet cover didn't reach up far enough so you would be having blankets next to your face, which I don't think is hygienic. As it was cool and I needed the bedding up near my face, I remade bed to pull duvet up further which helped, but a proper sheet, long enough to fold over the blanket, would have been good.

Our host met us promptly & showed us to our room. He provided milk. and showed us where everything was located. He turned our TV on and ensured all channels were accessible. Advised us where to leave the room key as we were leaving early the next morning.

There was nothing that we did not like. Although the motel is on a busy main road the road noise was not a problem at all. We slept very well.

Loved this motel! It was spotless, spacious, and comfortable. The owner is a gem, who welcomed me with a smile, milk for my coffee, and some information on Thames. Was it the most updated - no. Was everything tidy and in good repair - absolutely. I would stay here over a hotel with updated decor.

Stayed one night, beds were comfortable. Very close to shops. It is on a main road but I didn't hear the traffic. The studio unit with disabled bathroom was great. Big walk in shower and seat attached to the wall. The staff were very friendly

The motel was everything we expected and excellent value for money.

There was a lot of traffic noise. We noticed it more the first night, but we live rural so it took a night to get used to it. Maybe double glazing would sort it?

Stay was for an early Thames Hospital surgery, original surgery was postponed and Shortland Court Motel kindly transferred our booking at no cost to our replacement appointment, that did go ahead. This kindness was very much appreciated, thank you heaps.

The owner was friendly, respectful and kind. Our room met our expectations especially because we had our dog. Thank you so much for your hospitality and I would definitely come back again

Easy access. Plenty of room. Were allowed to bring our bikes inside for added security.

We were warned about the possibility of the fire siren. But when it went off it was a rude awaking. Not within the facilities control.

Everything was clean and well maintained. In addition, the housekeeping was such a nice surprise!

The photos used for advertising are really selling you short! My expectations were low given the photos, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived! I suggest including more photos in the advertising. I didn’t even know about the front room until I arrived.

Very clean. Very friendly and helpful owner. Being domesticated, I was looking for somewhere to hang the tea towel! A couple of clothes hooks in the bathroom would be handy. Great place to stay!
