They offered to upgrade us to a larger unit but warned us it was about to be overhauled. So although it was rather sad and dilapidated, it was beautifully large and spacious with lovely views of Caroline Bay and a park. The host was very friendly and helpful. He provided us with a mini glass bottle of milk and lots of local knowledge. There was a full sized fridge/freezer and a full oven too. Even a 4 slice toaster and a definitely non-stick frypan. There was free undercover parking which was easy to access. Sheets, towels etc were perfect. Water was hot and a there was a good shower.

Considering we were upgraded for free and were warned, we disregarded the shabbiness. I'm sure the overhaul will look lovely. The only drawback was the rather steep driveway. But there was plenty of room to turn around on the flat area at the bottom.

Staff very courteous and helpful. I like that the rooms were being tastefully renovated. My first booking had new curtains and carpets and the unit was very clean. It looked as though the worn paintworkwas next on the list. On my second stay shortly after, the renovation had been completed, and looked really good. Good value for money. Well done!

As above, it takes time to renovate, and income needs to be coming in. I stayed there a few years ago, and it was getting tatty.. Good to see it being improves.

The place was perfect for our needs, the shower was amazing - great pressure and nice and hot. The Queen bed was comfortable, but unsure what it would be like with two adults in it as it was a soft mattress (roll together??).

Can't say it was something we didn't like, and not a big deal, it was more of a convenience thing. There was no dish liquid in the cupboard so we could only wash the dishes in hot water (was too late at night to go buy some when we realized)

Toni was absolutely amazing to deal with. So accommodating and mindful of all her customers, even after having to deal with ungrateful customers who had changed their plans last minute that were well outside the businesses check in policy & cancelation policy. She was very professional and so easy to work with. Everything was as advertised and there were no surprises. You go what you paid for. Location is east for walking to the local bay and into town.

Nothing to complain about

This property is very good value and is well located in Central Timaru. It is an older motel but was clean and comfortable and the host was friendly and welcoming. It had the bonus of a garage under the unit which was appreciated with a zero degrees overnight temperature!

They had turned the heaters on, so my room was warm upon arrival helped carry bags inside for me. Nice spacious living and bedroom

Small bathroom and needs something to hold onto stepping down out of shower for people who aren't so steady on there feet

It was a cold night, we were passing through Timaru arriving late at 9:30pm. Our manager was exceptionally friendly, had heated our room and offered to carry our bags upstairs - all with a smile. Our facilities were comfortable and clean.

We had the studio unit at the rear of the premises, it was comfortable and quiet. Car parking right outside door, very convenient. Very clean and presented well.

Could not get the television to operate. No visitors book for comments.

Impersonal arrival & departure service, but did manage to talk to propriator on arrival and obtain local information by knocking on locked office door. Are unmanned reception offices par for the course in th South Island?

It was quite ok for one night, clean, bed comfy, heating fine. The lady manager was very friendly and very helpful and even gave us some cartons and tape for packing our cartons of stuff we wanted to freight from Timaru. She also let us extend our check out time. We were very grateful.

The bathroom was very cramped but ok for the one night we stayed there.
