The location was very handy, so close to the airport and the Ākau Tangi Sports Centre. The bar/resaurant staff were super lovely, the reception staff were pleasant. My son loved the pool, and I loved that I could watch him from the comfort of the warm foyer. We really enjoyed the fish and chips and steak meals.

The bed was really comfy but I didn't like the feel of the bed cover and could have done with a couple more pillows. There were a number of netball teams at the hotel, on our last night, the girls were very loud, running up and down the hallway. Was not ideal with a 1 year old.

The Brentwood's claims .to fame are its location and on-site parking. That is it. The food is adequate without any trouble. The rooms are dated but tidy and clean. The upside is the staff who are without exception delightful. The place is also cheap, and one gets what one pays for. We went in with eyes wide open but probably will look for something else next time.

The hotel is tired and not maintained as well as it should. Two leaking taps out of 6 in the bathroom is not good, and the shower over the bath is not an attribute. The cigarette smoke in the corridor is an experience that belongs to the past.

Accommodation was affordable, good enough for one night and close to the airport.

The bed was really soft and not that comfortable. We only had dessert and I was highly disappointed by the $16 chocolate lava cake I ordered. I waited over 15min in the bar area (the restaurant was nearly empty as I came around 8.30pm), I went and reminded them and it seemed like they had forgotten. After that it came out in a few min but it was literally a chocolate muffin turned upside down and one small ball of ice cream, barely worth $8 tbh. No chocolate sauce or anything. Which I explained to the staff was missing but they didn't seem to care.

I arrived on a flight from Sydney about midnight - I did not get to the hotel until after midnight (after collecting my bags and going through customs and immigration) my brother stayed at the hotel with me - he was my ride for the next day - we had breakfast at the hotel and were out by 10am - so my stay was very much a bed for the night, a shower and breakfast then out of there. The room was quiet - large - it accommodated two queen size beds - my bed was comfortable - the bathroom was a good size - breakfast at the restaurant was good - checkout was easy.

The shuttle service from the Wellington airport to the hotel was extremely good. Friendly and helpful driver, made a stressful transition stress free. Also the welcome at the hotel was very pleasant and friendly. All staff were good throughout our stay.

Our queen size bed in room 204 wasn’t very comfortable, the sheet and quilt configuration was messy and too big for the bed size. Also, there was only one bedside table.

Lovely staff

Had to upgrade to have a downstairs room so I could park outside room. Otherwise parking was away from room and had to walk up stairs with luggage that I didn't want left in the car. Considering the wing we were in was empty I would of thought we could just change room when the room was no different. When we got to the room the door to the next adjoining room was left open which was concerning but quickly closed when reception was called.

The size of the room was incredible! So spacious and light. Having a toddler with us, it was amazing having so much space for her to run around. The beds are spacious and comfy, everything very clean. Staff was great and meals that we got at the restaurant were super delicious and not too expensive.

Since we were on the first floor, access to the room from the parking was a bit far. This is only because the rest of the hotel is on the ground floor, so we could feel the difference being up a level. Other than that, everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay.

Location exellent. Clean and easily accessible for mobility challenged. Unfortunately shower vent in bathroom didn't work Ordered and paid $8 for room service hot fries before we left to go out for dinner....40 minutes later no fries so left to go out... Without our fries A bit dated.. ceilings need attention as would be a hazard if an earth quake should strike. Very nosy neighbor peaking out his window and coming in and out if his room at 1 in the morning. Ruined my night by constantly coming in and out of his room so we left early to avoid any problems this weird individual had with us. Other than that exellent venue and staff. Would stay again and recommend to others

Being placed next to two workers when there was the ability to ensure we were noise free. A man snoring all night next to me in the adjacent room kept me from sleeping soundly, But to be expected for price value if room Slippery marbled floor when wet Mat in the shower as floor a slip risk

Great sized room with close proximity to the airport if you require an overnight stay before a flight. There is also a free airport shuttle provided by the hotel which was very useful. For the price and accessibility to both the airport and city centre, we have no complaints.

The decor is dated, but doesn’t detract from the room at the price. The reception did also seem to forget our wake up call.

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. The rooms were quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The location is perfect—there’s no need to worry about parking. I left my car and just used Uber to get around.

The pool wasn’t heated during the winter months, which was a bit disappointing since the pool was one of the reasons we chose this hotel.
