Comfy and quiet rooms, great bed and lounge chair for comfort, clean room, cleaning staff were great, very helpful. Loved seeing the weka's walking around in the morning. enjoyed our stay.

Bathroom light did not shine over shower, but owner said the units where we were staying will be renovated as per their other units. A small thing, no dish rack in kitchen, but would be handy to have one, when washing the dishes. No oven, be good to put microwave on wall, and extend bench area

What a great place to find and stay. The room was fabulous. Light, bright and airy. Loads of windows and fresh air. Great size. Bathroom fantastic size and brilliant shower. Kitchen well equipped and clean. Cooker great. Bed comfortable and clean. Double aspect, one side to garden other to carpark. Garden lovely. Owners lovely. Close to town and millennium walk. Easy walk over bridge.

Although the motel looks a bit dated on the outside, the unit we stayed in had been recently redecorated and was modern and bright, and very clean. It had everything we needed, and the hot water pressure was great! And although it's on the outskirts of Westport township, it's still close enough to walk, as we did for dinner and back again.

Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Although a little dated this motel is very comfortable and clean, and the rooms have all the equipment anyone is likely to need to self cater.

Our only issue was that although the windows on the main room have blackout curtains the absence of any blinds or curtains on the kitchen window means that the light streams in anyway.

The room we stayed in (number 17) seemed to be newly renovated which was lovely, it looked like a new kitchen which was well stocked with equipment, new carpet on the floors and new sofas with a huge tv. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was nice and clean and it was great to have some tea and coffee left for us, event some salt and pepper which a lot of motels forget about. In our 3 week trip in NZ this was easily one of the best places we stayed, would really recommend it.

This is the second time we have stayed here. I liked that the host made sure we had two rooms as on this trip it was my husband and I and our adult son. Although we had had other motels with three beds in one room, it was lovely to have a separate room for our son. It was also lovely and warm once the heater was turned on and the sofa was comfy as were the beds. Lovely warm welcome at reception too. We will return :)

The only thing that would have made it better, being it is winter, would have been if the heater had been on, so the room was warm on arrival. But that is only a very minor thing.

Really spacious rooms, great communication with the property when we thought we would be late arriving. Provided with milk for brews which was a nice touch. Comfy beds. Clean linen and towels. Suited our needs perfectly

Disappointed when told we hadn't actually seen kiwis en route. Instead had seen weka's- 🤣

Well equipped, it had everything I needed, the bed was comfy and the shower had decent pressure. It's not a 5* facility, nor does it pretend to be, priced accordingly , but it was clean, and suited my needs.

A curtain over the door would be good, to block out the early morning light.

Our motel unit was exceptionally clean, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Very quiet. Friendly reception and helpful with our queries.

I had nothing to complain about. The units appear to be under redecorating as the living/bed area was modern looking and the kitchen /bathroom more dated but still very functional and clean. We will not hesitate to come back.

It looks quite dated from the outside but the rooms are quite up to date and are perfectly fine

It's hard to navigate around the outdoor furniture going in and out as the unit doors can be quite close to each other. Maybe when they update, think about chair choice.
