The parking needs lines painted, other guests parked silly. We had to park on the grass behind our unit. Reception male said my credit card declined. In actual fact, my card was quite topped up. I think you mistyped my account number. I slipped over in the shower. Once the soap rinsed off into the bottom of the shower, it became slippery. I'm all good, though. No pain. Just my pride 🤣🤣🤣 Our rolled up face cloths had dead moths on them, probably blown in by the open window.

Clean and comfortable. I really liked not having to wash the dishes.

We advised that we would be arriving between 7 and 8pm and this was approved by the motel. When we got there at 7.30pm the office was closed, but did answer when we knocked. To be fair Cortez did try to ring us but large parts of the roads we were on had no cell coverage. They were wondering when we didn't answer if we weren't genuine. We did say what time we would arrive and they did agree. I think they were a little suspicious because booking.com omitted our credit card from the booking details, but that was no fault of ours.

It's was clean and the hosts and the workers were lovely. We were there only over night but it was great for our needs. I had a spa bath my needs were met👍🏾 Loved it, it was sooo what I needed!

Completely out of their control as there were road works happening right outside & the road workers cut the power. So we couldn't shower. Had the road workers told the Motel they were turning the power off at 9am we would of showered before 9. But not Cortez fault I had to sit in the car with my smelly sister to Auckland 🤣🤣

Very convenient to where I needed to be for work. Ample of free parking is a bonus. Room was very big and well equipped.

Due to no aircon the only way to get relieve from the heat is to open windows, use the fan. Sadly (and I know this is not the property's fault) this was made hard by room neighbours with a nasty smoking habit who came to sit right outside the window. maybe no smoking on premises or a smoking area away from other rooms would be an option.

We appreciated our stay at the Cortez. It accommodated our family. We near had the entire complex to ourselves as we had booked in advance, this could've been a nightmare for hotel owners, however, they were so relaxed and accommodating that we chose to spend most of our time at the motel. We will definitely be booking with them again.

Not that we didn't like it, cause the stay was amazing. Perhaps just a comment that one family members bathroom window had no latch and the window opened wide to the roadside, this made showering uncomfortable to some extent and finding men's underwear in our bathroom cabinet. Granted I didn't mention it when we got there as I was busy with preparation for grad, however, did explain this to owner and he was awesome and sorted it asap.

The rooms were clean and well maintained. Wifi was free and with good reception. Bed medium firm and comfortable. Adequate off street parking although may be tight if the motel was full. Plenty of kerbside parking in the adjacent side street. Within 1km of large supermarket with main town centre about 1.5km from motel.

The reception closed early on the day we arrived, albeit after our arrival, and had not opened at 8am the next morning when we left. We therefore had to depart leaving key in room and phoning reception mid morning, However the motel people gave us a good welcome and were very friendly on the phone.

The atmosphere was lovely and the room was better than expected for the price. The lady on reception was filling in for her friends but did a great job, was very approachable and friendly. We loved the pool and the great quality fan provided in our room. The beds were pretty comfy and well made. We would definitely stay here again. We were provided extra towels for the pool too.

The fan was a little too loud even on the lowest setting, our double bed had a very slight lean to it, the bathroom was hard to lock and the toilet didn't always flush well. The bathroom windows open up quite far and people can walk past (although it is around the back) and see in so we had to keep them shut for privacy. Our towel rail was broken and there wasn't really enough space to hang our wet togs and towels.

Nice little cosy motel, on the main road but hardly any noise from traffic. Car park available, I managed to get a room with my car parked right outside, prefect. Pool is awesome, courtyard sees the sun all day. I felt relaxed..

Update the Motel Information folder in the room. Out dated, was looking forward to having a cooked breakfast but no longer provided by the motel. Prices for washing machine and dryer also out dated costs.

The motel layout is very good, there is a court yard between the two wings and not a parking lot which is great, on a hot evening it will be good to use. The rooms was very spacious and clean with everything provided that you need. The pool is a good size, pity it was too cold to use.

It's had to find something I didn't like, except the TV system was playing up, they were waiting for someone to come and look at it. If it was not for that, I would have had no issues what so ever.

The Staff were really friendly whenever I needed help they were more than happy to help, also close to town so didn't have to drive too much. we loved that there was a pool, BBQ area, and garden space to sit in.

The floors in the bathroom and kitchen were really sticky and there was mold in the bathroom, also An extra pillow per person would have made our stay that much better, and making sure the remotes to the tvs actually work would have been awesome.
