The location was great, facilities were what was expected, it was quiet even though it is on a main road.

The room was a bit cold, but it was a freezing wet day. It would have been good to have the heater on earlier. The heater cord wasn't that long so it had to be put on the bench top or right next to the bed which was a fire hazard. There were a couple of stains/cracks in the Spa bath so didn't want to use the bath incase there were other germs unseen.

Very comfy queen bed, quietness of guests. Well-mannered children in the rooms before the office. 2 towels,thank you. Despite the above, I would definitely stay again. Ngā mihi

The parking needs lines painted, other guests parked silly. We had to park on the grass behind our unit. Reception male said my credit card declined. In actual fact, my card was quite topped up. I think you mistyped my account number. I slipped over in the shower. Once the soap rinsed off into the bottom of the shower, it became slippery. I'm all good, though. No pain. Just my pride 🤣🤣🤣 Our rolled up face cloths had dead moths on them, probably blown in by the open window.

Everything was really good very impressed with the cleanliness The managers were so lovely I was a bit grumpy when I left because of the lack of sleep which wasn’t the managers fault Sorry managers such lovely people.

The place whilst clean and very comfy was dated and our room was quite dark it could do with a lighter colour and modernising but having said that I was very comfy it met our needs I WOULD RECOMMEND TO OTHERS it’s a great central location and easy access

Clean and comfortable. I really liked not having to wash the dishes.

We advised that we would be arriving between 7 and 8pm and this was approved by the motel. When we got there at 7.30pm the office was closed, but did answer when we knocked. To be fair Cortez did try to ring us but large parts of the roads we were on had no cell coverage. They were wondering when we didn't answer if we weren't genuine. We did say what time we would arrive and they did agree. I think they were a little suspicious because booking.com omitted our credit card from the booking details, but that was no fault of ours.

From the moment we arrived everything was great, check in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our room was super clean and tidy and had everything we needed,we totally loved the room. The biggest draw card was the pool which was just big enough and refreshing after a day of travelling. Thank you very much to the staff, we will definitely be back to stay again.

The checking in process was simple and straightforward with great communication from the initial online booking with a follow up phone confirmation. The room was clean, with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The spa bath was fabulous. The cleaning person was so friendly and professional. Great location and we didn't even notice the noise from traffic in spite of being on the main road. Good parking as well.

It's was clean and the hosts and the workers were lovely. We were there only over night but it was great for our needs. I had a spa bath my needs were met👍🏾 Loved it, it was sooo what I needed!

Completely out of their control as there were road works happening right outside & the road workers cut the power. So we couldn't shower. Had the road workers told the Motel they were turning the power off at 9am we would of showered before 9. But not Cortez fault I had to sit in the car with my smelly sister to Auckland 🤣🤣

Very convenient to where I needed to be for work. Ample of free parking is a bonus. Room was very big and well equipped.

Due to no aircon the only way to get relieve from the heat is to open windows, use the fan. Sadly (and I know this is not the property's fault) this was made hard by room neighbours with a nasty smoking habit who came to sit right outside the window. maybe no smoking on premises or a smoking area away from other rooms would be an option.

We appreciated our stay at the Cortez. It accommodated our family. We near had the entire complex to ourselves as we had booked in advance, this could've been a nightmare for hotel owners, however, they were so relaxed and accommodating that we chose to spend most of our time at the motel. We will definitely be booking with them again.

Not that we didn't like it, cause the stay was amazing. Perhaps just a comment that one family members bathroom window had no latch and the window opened wide to the roadside, this made showering uncomfortable to some extent and finding men's underwear in our bathroom cabinet. Granted I didn't mention it when we got there as I was busy with preparation for grad, however, did explain this to owner and he was awesome and sorted it asap.

The rooms were clean and well maintained. Wifi was free and with good reception. Bed medium firm and comfortable. Adequate off street parking although may be tight if the motel was full. Plenty of kerbside parking in the adjacent side street. Within 1km of large supermarket with main town centre about 1.5km from motel.

The reception closed early on the day we arrived, albeit after our arrival, and had not opened at 8am the next morning when we left. We therefore had to depart leaving key in room and phoning reception mid morning, However the motel people gave us a good welcome and were very friendly on the phone.
