I have stayed here before - some years ago. The Hotel is really nice - very handy for shops, restaurants etc . The apartment was well fit out, spotlessly clean and very comfy. Everything we needed was in the unit. We didn't cook, but all the equipment was there plus dishwasher. It had been a very hot day, and we were glad of the Air Conditioner. It was good to have parking - though you need to book it and to pay $15 per night. However - I think that's reasonable compared to some.

Can't think of anything. It was a wee bit hard to find the way in after driving down Butter Factory lane, but I rang the receptionist, and it was all sorted.

The room was stunning, the furniture was really nice and it was clean.

Because I was trying to check in after 5pm it was really difficult to gain access to the business and I was on the street calling the buzzer but no one answered and I started to panic. Thankfully there was a mobile number listed on the door and that person was very responsive and came to the hotel to let us in. This is the second experience I have had a Quest regarding after hours check in. I dont like the process.

The room was very clean and quite well set out , nice windows facing to alley . Good security for us and a good lock up for our car (at a extra cost).

The soap dispenses in the bathroom were all sealed and you could not open them to get soap out to wash yourself (Never checked before wash) had to go down the road for soap. NO book or manual for tv or could only get free channels on the television (every other channel was locked). The bed was comfortable but it was a zip together so kept rolling to the middle of the bed. Very tight parking under the building .

Room was clean and was well equipped with the little kitchenette. Parking was good if just slightly convoluted to find, we were given good instructions to find it. View from our room was only of the back of Shops.

Location seemed to be in a pretty ordinary part of town. We didn’t think there was any particularly nice restaurants around, though there was plenty of takeaway available in the area. The entry-level of the building was full of empty shops and the check-in office seemed a little strange in the arcade.

Plenty of space, clean facilities.

The parking situation was a mess and not well communicated. We made our booking last minute (because of a cancellation elsewhere) and by the time we arrived at the location, I hadn't received the emails warning about the parking situation. Spaces need to be reserved in advance and although we were there just before the office closed and we saw a free space in the parking lot, the staff did not provide access to the parking and instead directed us to an overflow space with a need for an early morning departure. Given this is the case, I don't think it's reasonable that the property advertise that there is parking available.

The free movies but however there is no chrome cast. But free parking is good. Make sure you park in the loading bay at front and check in first to get your parking . You have to drive around the building and go down the back where farmers is and there will be an alley way to drive down. Once you get to the end where the beauty/ eyelash place is there’s a gate to tap your room access card for parking. The guy at the reception was friendly and helped me get checked in fast with no hassle

The check-in process was easy even though we came on Christmas Eve, the cleanliness and comfort of the room and the TV provided so many free movies to chose from. In addition, the room and bathroom were spacious and there was also a kitchen that came with all the necessities.

It was a bit difficult to find the entrance and parking garage. We didn't know we could/should have purchased a parking spot and so when we discovered the parking garage, we couldn't get our room key to work to get access even though we did call to ask for access. The annoying part too was that we found out we were charged for calls made to the front desk, it was extremely minimal but just kind of weird and something that we were not used to.

The location was excellent, I was in Whangarei for work and it was very close to where I needed to be. Then, when I had to stay another evening, the team at Whangarei Quest accommodated me. Thank you. Also, the location is very convenient it is of walking distance to restaurants and cafes.

Just difficult to find the carpark maybe more sign posts.

Clean and spacious room, right in the centre of town and only a 5 minute walk to the Town Basin restaurants and the excellent Hundertwasser Art Centre.

This property has had a few bad reviews about noise, parking and collecting the keys. We were there on a Friday night but were far enough away to only hear very faint music, so it depends on where you are situated in the building. We had parking confirmed in advance, and it was available, despite a full car park on the Friday night. Also, we have a small car, so fitting the allotted space was straightforward. Finally we arrived just as reception was closing, so had no problem getting the key. So if you have a large car, arrive late, don't confirm parking, and end up on the wrong side of the building, you might not enjoy your stay as much as we did! However, 'city view' was a bit of a heroic description. We were looking at the building on the other side of the alleyway ...

There was a young lady who works reception who did a great job helping us. She gave us directions to the Quest carpark, she said she would be down in 2 mins to let us in. Even though it sounded like she was helping others, she was down in a jiffy, she had our keys,insructions and parking paper to display, which meant we cod go straight to our room as check in was all sorted!!! What a great welcome. The room was large and clean and comfy! Well done team!
