The location and the view from the chalet
The chalet has a kitchen but no water neither bathroom/toilets. This was not obvious when I booked and was surprise to learn it at check-in. In winter it can be a problem especially the morning when I got 30cm of fresh snow to clear before being able to go to the bathroom. The title "Chalet" should be changed into "Chalet Budget" to warn the people...

We had a sea/mountain view room in the hotel, which was nicely decorated. The room was not overly spacious, but had everything we needed and did not feel cramped. Location is an easy drive to Svolvær, Henningsvær, and some popular trails. We liked that flexibility to explore multiple towns. While staying in this area, we accessed the Tjeldbergtinden Loop trail easily, which we really enjoyed. We also loved the restaurant/lounge area. It was cozy, well-decorated, and had a great water & mountain view. They also offered some nice souvenir shopping in the reception area with products from local artists.
The dinner menu rotated daily, but the breakfast and lunch remained the same throughout our stay. Due to the weather, we ended up eating at the restaurant more than expected, so it would have been nice to have some different lunch options.

We stayed in the hotel in the campground which was above the reception area. It was a nice compact room and there was a good cafe and lounge downstairs where you could order dinner, have a beer or just relax in. We also used the campground kitchen facilities to cook which was very useful. Staff were great and the views are stupendous. Amazing location and fabulous fresh cinnamon buns at the cafe. You could also have a buffet breakfast if required.
Wifi was dicey in our room and there was no fridge. We did find one at the end of the hall on our floor though but someone turned up the cold and froze most of our stuff! Apart from that, it was all good.

Glamping tent experience was a top notch, despite the rather bad, rainy weather. Tent kept warmth inside with its heater and fireplace, plus the tent didn’t leak water through. Access to electricity inside the tent was also great feature! Brilliant choise for couples who seek a slight more romance and atmosphere for the trip. It’s so easy to simply enjoy your breskfast by your tent with glorious landscapes on horizon. Maybe coolest feature in the place was it’s spa. Sauna+Jacuzzi+Ocean swim combination couldn’t be more perfect way of how to end the day, eith mahnificent landscape on horizon.
Bed in the tent was rather soft. Im not very back-sensitive sleeper, but for soft spined people out there, take a note before booking tent sleepover

I absolutely loved the 2 hour spa, we had to pay for it but it had amazing views of the mountains and it was so nice! The stay was comfortable and clean, relatively good location with supermarkets nearby. There is a bar with good beer, and a cafe downstairs. There is no cooking facilities though. The staff(who was from Sweden) was very friendly and gave me recommendations on hiking too! Overall I loved this stay.
There was a lack of cooking facilities, but that's okay. The beds were a bit too soft for our liking and I could not find the hair dryer.

The seaside cabins have a great view of the water and mountains! I loved watching the herons fishing in the morning. The cabin is very clean and has a good kitchen, including dishwasher for those who want to cook. The location is perhaps midway between Henningsvaer and Solvaer so is a good location for touring the area as we did. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom although small, had a great hot shower and underfloor heating. We had a great view of the Northern Lights over the water. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Nothing!! The cabin was a little cold on arrival but heated up quickly enough.

Beautiful location, nice upgrades such as the mattress. Some of the staff was the most friendly throughout our two weeks in Norway.
Breakfast could have been improved. The room had silly things broken, the door lock entrance to the room needed to be screwed back on. The staff did nothing to care for the dangerous stairs up to the room that we were required to use after lobby hours - my husband ended up cleaning them off. The spa was the same way, we reserved it - which was a beautiful experience however the ice made it so dangerous. When reserving the spa you had to rent a towel also- I choose to do this thinking it would be a beach or pool towel and provide extra warmth given it was less than 3c out. However, it ended up being a regular bathroom towel that should have just been included in the 35kr rental fee each. No fridge in room but a community one is provided and guests can store items.

We had a front row cabin, simply beautiful. The stove in the cabin created a lovely atmosphere. We also booked the sauna and the hot tube. Top!
More attention to the dishware would be appreciated: we were 4 people and some cutlery were missing. The kitchen has the dishwasher but no detergent for it. We booked the sauna for four people (that you pay extra) and i was expecting to have bathrobes for it, but at the reception they only mentioned that we would find additional towels in our cabin. There were only 2. These things are not a tragedy, but for the price of the room and the level of the hotel I think they should care more about little things.

Everything! The view from the cabin is spectacular. Comfy bed. Kitchen fully furnished. The heating floor in the bathroom is a nice touch. Staff at reception/coffee are really welcoming. Great iced latte too!
I was surprised that there was nobody to welcome me at the spa. It was 10pm, dark and I was not even sure if I could go since there was nobody. A small garbage bin in the bathroom would be appreciated.

Skårungen is a haven and a slice of paradise in this world. The atmosphere here is incredibly peaceful and serene. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to escape from a busy life and you love to busk in nature. The staff are worldly and experienced and are happy to give plenty of great recommendations for the local area. I will definitely visit again!
