It has beautiful view surrounding it. We managed to catch the northen light during our stay. The staff replied my message promptly and this is very helpful when we just arrived in Lofoten, Leknes airport.

We followed our GPS (google map) while driving to the place. I missed the first turn, then google map showed me another turn which at the end actually closer to our cabin. This turn wasnot mentioned prior to our arrival. Maybe a simple map on how to reach our villa/cabin might be useful? I booked 1 hour of sauna on the night we arrived. We arrived late and thought we wanted to see how the sauna looked like, but we found some people are inside using it and they had no idea we booked the sauna for that hour.

Owners are super super nice! Extremely hepful. Rolf is a great guy. I was going to Lofoten for landscape photography. Lofoten basecamp is perfectly located: 10 minutes ride to Uttakleiv and Haukland beaches, 20 minutes to Unstad, 20 minutes to Vik, Vitken, Ramberg, less than 30 minutes to Nusfjord. For grocery, wine and alcool or other supplies, you are 5 minutes from Leknes where you can find anything you need. Perfect spot to begin your photo trip.

We had a one bedroom appartment. It's a bit small but still very comfortable and very well thought off.

Great location. Mere 15 minutes from airport and supermarkets, yet quiet and idyllic with sweeping sea views. Functional, well equipped kitchen. We ate in both nights. Lovely to have dinner at the table with the sea just outside. Beautiful sauna. We had a great experience using it and then dipping in the freezing Norwegian sea before running back to the sauna to warm up again.

The two twin rooms on the 2nd floor have a sloping roof, so in both rooms, the bed on the sloping roof side can only be used by a small child as you would hit your head the moment you sit up. Not all cabins are equally furnished. We had 2 ocean view cabins, but only 1 of them had a microwave.

You can’t beat the view! We were so lucky as to see a couple of the small whales (nise) swim by while we were enjoying the beautiful sunrise. The layout was great, with one bedroom and bath downstairs and two more bedrooms and a second bath upstairs. It was really great to not have to go downstairs to use the restroom. Comfortable beds, never sat in the sofa. Everything we really neede in the kitchen, and super handy to have the chance to wash clothing.

Could have better furniture outdoors. The wooden bench and table were not so great. With so many bedrooms, it would have been great with at least a second drying rack for laundry as well as benches or stools to put luggage on so it need not sit on the floor.

Our deck overlooking the sea was amazing with deck chairs and was a very quiet spot. Our cabin had everything we needed to cook and do laundry, the bed was comfortable and WiFi good. Convenient to Leknes by car and the hike behind the property was great as a midnight sun hike! The sauna was awesome and we ended up booking twice.

No additional supplies except laundry detergent. There were no cooking basics like oil, tea, coffee, etc. No shampoo, conditioner or body wash. No bath mat. For the price, I’d expect these things. The bathroom looked at the parking lot, so I had to keep remembering to shut the curtains.

Clean and big sized cabin for even bigger group of people. Terrace offers amazing ocean-view! Easy to make food with cabin’s kitchen or clean your dirty hiking clothings after the day with laundrymachine. The accommodation’s sauna was amazing and beautifully designed, with a nice addition of swim possibility right by the ocean! Shoutout to fellow finns, a must visit on your Lofoten trip if not for else, then the sauna experience! Lastly the area offers great activity possibilities, especially the popular Offersøykammen trailing hike to the top is a must visit for anyone. The trip is totally worth the views.

Price of the accommodation can be slightly high for someone. Sauna costs 300 NOK per hour.

The property is clean, and the view is lovely. The staff we met was very friendly and accommodating. On the first day, we had a problem in this property's kitchen, so we texted the property on Booking's app. They answered our request almost immediately and showed up within only 10 minutes. Moreover, we could park our rental car near our cabin, which is very comfortable, especially when you have to carry many things from the car to the cabin.

The entrance road to the property is uphill and curves beside the main road. Therefore, you should drive very carefully when entering or exiting this property. There is not enough space to open our luggage on the first floor of our cabin. Hence, we need to carry some luggage to the second floor. We use the kitchen every day; unfortunately, sometimes the induction stove does not work well. We have to reset it by turning off the stove's electrical breaker and turning it on again (their accomodating staff instructed this).

Our oceanview villa was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was only a short walk to the Offersoykammen hike trailhead which I highly recommend. The hike was moderately difficult but the view from the top was absolutely worth it. Our group also enjoyed the private sauna with spectacular view of the sea. It was such a unique experience that shouldn’t be passed up. As for the 2 office staffs that we came in contact with, both were super friendly and helpful. Overall we loved our stay at Lofoten Basecamp.

The Lofoten Basecamp is conveniently located on the E10 just outside of Leknes which meant it was centrally located to a number of sites which, as a photographer, I could revisit over several days. The managers were very friendly and accommodated my late changes due to delays caused by a late winter storm. They were also very helpful throughout my stay and provided me with information and helped with other matters when I approached them. The small kitchenette in each room was sufficient for preparing light meals and had a cook top, microwave oven, fridge and dishwasher. I had a cabin with a water view which was a beautiful sight to wake to each morning.

There is presently no EV car charging but I understand that this will be rectified in the near future. But really there was nothing to complain about. It's popular. Get in early to ensure you get the rooms you want. 😁

Location, comfort, thoughtfulness in outfitting the property with everything one can imagine. We loved the scenic overlook and the Haukland and Uttakleiv beaches. Staff is wonderful. Olaf was very helpful with the recommendations.

It’s hard to think of anything that we didn’t like. However, the curtains in the room could be better as the light filters in from the sides and it’s definitely an issue when there is no sunset in summer months. However, the material of the curtains is blackout . Still the light comes in from the edges.
