Very nice location close to public transportation, airport transport + everything you need, shopping, dining, beaches at Bygdøy and in walking distance to the Frogner area.

We were traveling w children btw 4-8y and had a family room. The darkning curtains wasn’t long enough to keep out the sunlight. The kids’ bunkbeds didn’t have polstring at the sides and the lowest bed did not have any side framing to protect a child from falling to the ground. Also parents double bed consisted of two separate beds placed side by side, making it difficult to co-sleep w children coming over during nights. It should have had a double topmadras in order to meet family needs when travelling w smaller children.

Reasonable price, about €125/per night for our bank holiday weekend. 6-7 minutes walk to the train/bus/tram station. Located in a quiet, upmarket suburb. Very convenient to get to Vigelands Park Breakfast is extremely good. Lots of choices and caters for various dietary requirements. Smoked salmon on par with Irish quality salmon from the Atlantic ocean. Staff are lovely, helpful and pleasant including the room attendance.

Water from the shower leaking out as there is no raised panel to funnel the water. Other than that it’s fine. I booked the king room but the bed is just 2 single beds put into one, although it’s comfortable enough. The fridge doesn’t work.

The staff was very nice and helpful, including the breakfast staff that went out of its way to help me as I have mobility issues. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was fine. There is a wide range of stores of all kinds within walking distance, although many close early it being a business district. Overall, the facilities are nice, although a face lift would so wonders.

I did not like my bathroom. It was much too small, and there was no vanity to keep your toiletries. The shower curtain was one foot above the floor and, consequently, the water flowed all over the floor.

Nice room, lovely reception staff, accommodating of small child though it didn’t seem like a typical family hotel. Great breakfast.

The restaurant and bar was closed on Saturdays and Sundays which I found super odd, and we were a bit gutted to find the high chair we’d used at breakfast the day before not cleaned when we came back the following morning (we’d quickly wiped it ourselves to not leave it too messy but it had just been put away by the looks of it).

Modern, clean and in a good location for all travel links, local tourists spots. The breakfast was especially superb and likely the best we’ve ever come across! Childrens bunk beds were safe. Staff were very helpful and friendly. 12 check out standard.

A little short on pillows for 4 in rooms, if you prefer two which we all did. No milk sachets for tea/coffee but an excellent mini fridge so we could store our own. Otherwise all minor issues and definitely didn’t spoil our stay!

- the room was very spacious and cozy - they fulfilled some of the special requests we had - breakfast was absolutely amazing and included! - not super central but very good connection to city center/airport etc. with tram, train and bus

- the drain of the shower/tub was broken - it was very clean in general, however upon arrival there was quite a bit of hair visibly in the sink and shower

Breakfast was great, room was comfortable and staff was helpful (but I think that's like that in all the Scandic hotels). It's located in nice place to start the trip (by foot) to Viking Museum, Fram and then the ferry to Oslo center. If you don't expect a "night life" it's perfect.

I was surprised, that Hotel lobby bar/restaurant is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Also - google maps is leading you to side entrance (openable only by a card after checking in) - It's not only me who was confused, I met a guy from Norway who was also trying to figure out how to enter.

We loved our stay at Scandic Sjølyst! The hotel is located in a very good neighbourhood with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Transportation links were easily accessible! The atmosphere at the hotel was very nice and breakfast had a variety of food to cater for every taste. If we went to Oslo again, we would definitely choose Scandic Sløyist hotel.

Location is some distance from Oslo's centre, but - the walk along waterfront to the centre past marina and port is delightful (apart from noise from adjacent dual carriageway). Alternatively, Skøyen suburban railway station is only a few hundred metres away and gets to the centre in 5 or 6 minutes. Room was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast buffet with plenty of choice.

Area (Skøyen) surrounding hotel is a bit quiet with little choice of places to eat or (if you can afford it) drink. One of these ("Qui" if you're in the area), despite saying it was open till 21:30, when I arrived at 20:50, proclaimed itself closed (I looked clean and respectable, honestly).

New building. New equipment, finishes, modern interior. Hotel gave me quit room on the top floor which oversees backyard, as I requested. Rich breakfast. A guy on the reception gave me good recommendations on what to see during 24h stay in Oslo, and marked everything on the map (which they provided). Hotel located in 5-7 mins walk from the train station - direct connection to Oslo Airport (there is direct speed train - running at ~190-200km/h) and to the city centre (domestic trains) - no need taxi or rented car there. Overall I liked everything in Oslo - people really worry about people around, I been in a lot of countries - but this visit is the best User/Traveller experience which has been build by country/city.

1. Overcrowded breakfast floor during the breakfast. Haven’t seen so many people trying to grab something. Uncontrolled chaos. But breakfast (range of options) was very good. 2. 22:00 the kitchen was closed, taking into consideration, that it is not a city centre not nice experience (but reception guy recommended to visit pizza place in couple of mins walk from the hotel), especially when you just arrived (be prepared in advance).
