A great room, seemed like a traditional Norwegian room - not too little, not too big. The staff was really helpful and kind, loved the staff at breakfast hall - they were really attentive and nice. Breakfast choice is wide enough, you could also taste the traditional 'brunost' and even bake a waffle yourself if you liked. There is an opportunity to see a fantastic view on the terrace, attend sauna and gym. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, but we did not use that because of the weather. Et veldig bra hotel - would definitely want to come again here :)

The only thing to mention was the lack of a place to dry the towels, otherwise all went great.

I can only express admiration for this exquisite, high-class establishment and the dedicated team that operates within its walls. Our stay was nothing short of exceptional. The property boasts breathtaking views of both the sea and the city, enveloped by lush forests. The presence of a delightful pool in the courtyard and an exceptional restaurant further elevate the experience. The staff, who function seamlessly like a family-run establishment, cultivate an inviting ambiance that truly enhanced our visit to Oslo. Sharing this experience with my son made it even more memorable.

The location is brilliant with an amazing view of the city and the sea. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful forests and, if you're lucky, you can manage to arrive in the winter fairytale even if there is no snow in downtown Oslo. The room was cozy and in the Nordic style - with wooden floors, nice colors, and huge windows facing the forest and Oslo. Common areas are very cozy, as well. With fireplace and beautiful views. The sauna was simple and nice. The reception was helpful and quickly solved the problem with the leaking sink.

The kitchen staff is really rude. We arrived 15 min before the breakfast ended, and they continuously were emptying tables from breakfast offers and, in all possible ways, were showing that we were an inconvenience. Next morning, we arrived 30 min earlier, but still they managed to be rude. Grabbing half finished plates and making us feel stressed. It could be just nice if they would not have this slightly aggressive presence and that people could eat their breakfast in calm and in harmony. One night above us, there was like a disco or rave. Or simply a room with youngsters who tried to have fun. It was loud, but we survived.

Everything. Great location. Perfect near Oslo, transportation to downtown absolutely easy and not long at all. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They were sincerely interested in making sure that all aspects of your stay at the hotel and in the city were enjoyable. The breakfasts the next mornings turned out to be the best during or two-week 5 hotel Norway vacation. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a hotel in the Oslo area

Nothing to complain

Just everything! The quiet place overlooking Oslo - fabulous view when the sky is clear, dramatiic landscape when foggy or rainy. The venue itself is large and pleasant with comfortable rooms. Free use of sauna and swimming pool over long periods every day - excellent faciities that are spotlessly clean. Complete breakfast in a vast room, staff will try their best to meet your expectations. Don't be mistaken: Voksenhäsen Hotell is located in the mountains and it takes about 40 minutes to reach central Oslo by train but it is worth it indeed when you consider the excellent value for money as well as the exceptional natural and human environment. A special tribute to Rude who did her best to secure our additional nights at the best possible price. Thank you all and congratulations!

Nothing as everything was perfect. We had booked for two nights and finally stayed... for five ! A place that is highly recommended for people anxious to experience Norwegian cosiness. We would definitely choose Voksenhäsen Hotell should we stay in Oslo again.

Everything- staff went above & beyond to help, The room was a good size with a stunning view & access to Holmenkollen was good ( as long as you are fit). As for breakfast , it was extensive and all tastes catered for. When I asked if they had a particular Norwegian jam , they even offered to get it for me for the next day!

Nothing - you cannot improve on excellence, Possibly a squeegee to clean the wet toom floor _ But that is all

The location in the mountains is great! 1/2 mile walk from train station if you don't want to drive to downtown. There is plenty of free parking space at hotel parking lot. The views to Oslo from balconies at lounge areas are superb. Breakfast is very good.

The low rate rooms are a bit small but very functional for their price for sure they need some improvement on their outside balconies.

It is an absolutely lovely small hotel located in the perfect greenery area and spot. By metro from the city center is about 30 mins and 3.5 euro for 1 way. Super comfy and clean. It was a tea kettle also (a huge plus for me). Available coffee in the hall. Normal breakfast.

I got a food poisoning at the restaurant (salmon). Was difficult to call from the room to the reception (no one picked up).

We had the junior suite king which was nice and big with a bubble bathtub and floor heating in the bathroom. It was also in a separate building so it was nice and quiet. There was a free evening buffet as it was midsummer which was delicious and the breakfast was great. A beautiful view from the launch terrass.

The view from the room is a bit inhibited by the roof of the main building. When we arrived the parking was full and there is no alternative close by, so we had to do a 20 minutes hike up to the hotel from the parking spot we found further down. The room was a bit too warm in the night.

The breakfast and the location to the winter park were both excellent. However, I am not sure if it was worth the location because there is no restaurant cosed by the area. So need to travel to get dinner because by 9 pm everything is closed

The hotel should have informed us that last order was 20.45 to book the restaurant And they hotel never mentioned that they closed down the hotel all together on Sunday
