Booked this hotel instead of an Air BNB because we wanted to talk to the front desk to get info on the area. But when we arrived there was no staff on the property. It was a self check in machine which was not finding my reservation so it was a bit of a hassle to Skype the staff who are at a sister hotel to get our room keys. I guess this is the direction things are going, but we personally prefer to have actual people when checking in The room was smaller than what it looked like in the photos

Beautiful room, tastefully decorated, comfortable, all the amenities you need, in an excellent, central location! Will definitely stay here again. Paid parking just a few minutes walk away. Super easy and convenient. Delicious complimentary breakfast buffet. The warm rain shower showerhead was heavenly after a day exploring in the cold weather. We loved our stay!

Only two minor issues regarding check in. First, we never did get confirmation whether our request for early check-in could be accommodated. When we initially asked for early check-in, we received the response that they would try to accommodate and would let us know, however we never heard one way or another after that so we ended up doing some activities around the town beforehand since we weren't sure whether we could check-in early. The other thing is we tried checking in via the app but didn't know our room number which was needed to check-in (we hadn't received that in any communication). Thankfully there was someone there who was able to help us.

Great room—modern, stylish, comfortable, and spacious. They provided slippers and bathrobes, which was a nice touch. The room was fully equipped with a kitchen, though we didn’t use it. It was well insulated, so we couldn’t hear the streets, and the temperature was perfect. The large smart TV was great for relaxing in the evening. Breakfast was decent. The location was quite central in my opinion.

Nothing to complain about. This was my second stay, and I got a better room. The breakfast could have more options and a larger space, but it was good nonetheless. The luggage room is quite small, and the entrance door a bit quirky, but these are very minor issues.

Located in the city center. The place is fully automatic, both the gate and the room’s door can be opened with an app. It is close to the city center, walking distance from a lot of restaurants and shops. The room and the bathroom are both clean.

The room was small, it did not have enough places to hang your staff. The shower was leaking, but fortunately it did not cause problems. No parking garage. It is an old building and even though it was renovated, it smells like one. Breakfast is very low quality. There were not so many choices, and they ran out of food quite early.

Loved everything about it. The room was large and it was beautiful, clean, comfortable. The location is fantastic, right next to the port and colourful street. The bus stop is right in front. Plenty of cafe options closeby. Loved the bathrooms and loccitane toiletteries. We booked two rooms and requested for an early checkin as our flight was early, we were given 1 room. That was very convenient. There is a luggage room on the ground floor which is small.

Nothing. Just to note that there is no reception, so we called the number given and we were able to check in early. Once you get a room number, key is easy. Although, the vander app did not work for me.

The Villa is strategically located in the Stavanger center. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed. We loved the large, open closet, luggage area with mirror to organize all the moving parts at the end of a two-week driving/hiking trip through the fjords. It was super convenient to catch the flybussen to the airport for our very early flight. The Klubgata bus stop is right outside the hotel door. The key card system worked well and seemed more secure than relying on a phone app alone. We saw no staff during our overnight stay.

Other people seemed to be struggling with access. The room was warm despite having the thermostat turned down, and opening the window let in street noise, even on the 4th floor.

Everything! Staff, Although contact was by phone, was very friend ly, welcoming and flexible. I was allowed to check in 4 hours before official start of check-in hours and I was allowed to check out 1 hour late. The room was spacious, super clean and with a comfortable bed. Shower was great too. The location is perfect. In the city center and yet so calm and quite. Very close to the shopping street, malls, restaurants, sightseeing and the port. Highly recommended ! ❤️

Maybe the lack of physical receptionist, but this didn't really brother me as I am a Scandinavian and calling isn't expensive

Great location, clean and comfortamble rooms with an intuitive and convenient self check-in procedure The room also looked really prestigious for its price, overall I'd say that was a great value for money deal, I'll definitely visit it once again while staying in Stavanger in the future

The room only had one small table to put your things down which may not be very convenient if you're staying for longer Also, there was only one small shelf (apart from a few coat hangers) to put your clothes on, which may force you to keep your wardrobe in your bag But if you're staying for the weekend it really isn't much of a problem

The room was beautifully decorated with lots of attention to detail. The location is very central, which was great as we did not have a car. The breakfast was plentiful--lots of menu choices and quite a few vegetarian options. The staff were helpful and friendly.

I can see The Villa is trying to establish itself in Stavanger and it's off to a great start! It would be strengthened by having a more welcoming lobby (e.g music, loungy vibe, moody lighting). The reception area is selling itself short and doesn't match the feel of the upstairs yet. I know space is tight but you I'm sure it could be made to have a warmer and more welcoming feel. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The location was amazing, it is close to all the touristy places but still feels safe. When we checked in we had a standard room, however our minibar didn't work and when I contacted them we were immediately upgraded to a better, bigger room! It definitely made our stay, thanks!

The rooms don't have air conditioner, when we asked the customer service we were told that most of the hotels didn't have it as it is a cold country! however, as we came in a warm season the room was super hot, the room was facing inside so the air flow wasn't sufficient and it was very difficult to sleep, the staff brought us a fan to help though.
