We liked almost everything. The breakfast was good, delicious food in the Thai restaurant, the room was good, the staff was friendly, the pool area was very nice, and the massage was perfect (special thanks to Sheila!)

No balcony. From the photo it looks like there is a balcony, but actually it was just a decoration in this room. I asked for alternative room, but it was not available. The shower drain was very slow, so we had to take a very quick shower. I reported this problem to the front desk, but no impact. No hand towels in the room. The price level was a bit high compared to the Philippines standard. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay a lot!

We had problem initially as the studio room allocated to us at first had aircon problem. The manager was kind enough to compensate us and upgraded us to one bedroom suite. Room was spacious and had kitchenette on it. We were welcomed with 1 set of dessert. My family had a blast. Breakfast was ok and delicious though. More on fipino variety. I’ve been staying to many hotels so I expected more asian variety. Overall, we had pleasant stay at Dusit and my family did enjoy their first staycation. We’ll definitely stay in Dusit when I go back to Davao again for holiday.

The overall ambiance and the friendly staff stood out the most. The room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities provided were excellent. The breakfast was delightful with a good variety of options. The food was fresh and well-prepared, catering to different dietary preferences. The location was very convenient, close to key attractions and easily accessible. It made exploring the area much easier and enjoyable.

While the experience was mostly positive, there was almost nothing to complain about.

The staff. The first rooms booked didn’t suit our needs but the staff and manager accommodated our needs and my 94 year old mother and transferred us immediately. I didn’t get the names or the front desk staff but I would like to commend their professionalism. We would definitely be back again. My mom enjoyed the dinner buffet and the staff of the dining area was exceptional as well.

.Expensive prices compared to similar in USA although you are in the Philippines in a far city from the capital. On one buffet breakfast daily, the lady who check the room said I'm not listed to have breakfast and she will add it to the room although I did have breakfast every day and it is part of my package and the front desk said it is included. I smiled and said I have breakfast, she did let me in after I insist but said she will check with management. I wanted to call management because instead of apologizing she was still not convinced. That was my second day which is the 3rd of March 2023

Good location and generally good.

This time it had lots of changes. Some staff were very helpful while others were not. Double standards in Dining room about dress wear to what I was wearing where as others got away with it. Standards have dropped since my last visit there.

I waited for around 10 minutes when I was checking out. The wait is unnecessary since there were only 2 of us checking out at that time. There were 2 front desk staff but one of them was already entertaining the other hotel guest. The other one saw me already but proceeded to do somethings else. I had to call her attention. Prior to checking out, I phoned the front desk to prepare the bill so I expected that upon check out, everything will already be in order.

* They have a policy against having durian fruit in the room. This is understandable as the fruit does have a particular smell that could linger in the room. However, they should have a proper, designated area where this fruit can be enjoyed, as this fruit after all is Davao's specialty. At the moment, you are only allowed to consume it in the parking lot where there is just a seat, and no table or anything. I think having a room where this fruit can be stored, and enjoyed by guests will improve immensely the experience of guests who want to enjoy everything Davao has to offer-- including the smelly durian fruit!
