The hotel's got some really great points about it - Staff: all absolutely wonderful. They put our beds together into a double bed after one night after seeing we had accidentally been put in a twin room. Staff were always really kind, chatting to us and making us feel welcome. Eric, keven and all the reception staff were always so kind and were a lovely highlight in our stay, always trying to help. They even organised a car for us when we were leaving which could accommodate our luggage - Free water - really great that there are water coolers everywhere in the hotel and drinking water is free. Such a good point - Own power generator - the island electricity went one day but the hotel was not impacted. Really good - Free breakfast - sets you up for the day & all the Filipino food is absolutely delicious. Particularly liked the beef tapa and Longannisa sausage. Really tasty and you get little free soup appetizers & sometimes desert too - Location - 5 to 10 minute walk from the beach, lots of bars and most of the boat tours leaving points in El Nido.. gives you a crucial extra bit of sleep! - Facilities - beds are big and comfortable, WiFi is dependable and decent strength and the air con is very strong (so strong they have a little blind to stop it blasting your bed!) - rooms v pleasant to be in all around. There is also a pool with free towel rental In all, this place is absolutely perfect to stay in while you are doing activities in and around el Nido. Right in the middle of the most active area with good facilities. Really liked it and would happily recommend

Not the most luxurious and there is a damage deposit on entry which must be paid in cash. Would be good if they could accept Card for this.

Plenty of hotels post artfully made-up photos of their properties to make them appear much nicer than they really are. Not Sea Cocoon. In fact, their rooms are *even* better than advertised! This is truly an EXCEPTIONAL property. Quietly luxurious, very spacious, beautifully appointed, and full of personal touches—this has to be the best hotel where I stayed during my month of traveling in the Philippines. Everything worked perfectly—the hot water, the wifi, the fast acting air-conditioner, the coffee station, etc. The hotel's staff are a joy. They are incredibly polite, always smiling, kind, and efficient. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. And even on the day I was leaving early before the start of the breakfast buffet, the staff prepared a take-away breakfast pack for me—without my asking them. I actually felt incredibly sad on the day I checked out of the hotel :)

We were a group of 4 people in 2 deluxe rooms from April 29-May 5, 2023. Even before our trip the email/text response time was quick! They patiently answered any and all questions for our group. The room accommodations were awesome! We were on the 4th F. There was no elevator at the time but we could see construction underway for one. I’m sure by this time next year the second wing of the hotel and elevator will be completed. The rooms were clean and exactly as pictured. In room 404, my husband and I were not troubled ‘so much’ by the loud music from the nearby clubs, which did go on sometimes until 4am in the morning. Showers were clean and everything worked. The water pressure is low and the temperature never quite got warm. But! Because it was so hot and humid when we came in after diving all day, I didn’t mind it so much. Breakfasts were great! They had a variety of foods available for Western (bread and cereal and fruit) and Asian (garlic fried rice, corned beef with onions, sweet Tocino, roasted pork, itlog, carabasa & green beans etc.) stomachs. The menu changed a little bit everyday so that was also nice. The banana bread was amazing. Maybe next time they’ll have some bibingka. If you want real Filipino cuisine, the restaurants in El Nido did not meet expectations. However, at Palawan Divers and the private boat we hired through Sea Cocoon provided THE BEST filipino food for our lunches! When we left it was at 4:30am. Sea Cocoon had made us a breakfast sandwich to take with us! There was a tip container at the front desk and we tipped generously when we left. We really also appreciated the filtered bottled water provided at every floor. When we ran out, we’d inform Paul at the front desk and it was immediately refilled!

The wifi was unrealiable but it is the fault of the island's infrastructure and not really anything the hotel can take care of. Our traveling companions in Room 405, were in direct line of sight to the Amigos Bar and could hear the music even through earplugs and noise cancelling headphones. So, they were less happy. I cannot speak for other rooms or floors.

We loved the location! It’s close enough to the airport, close to everything in El Nido Town. The hotel is great! It’s super clean, staff is extremely friendly and helpful, food is amazing (make sure to try the fish with ginger sauce and the queso fries!)

The hotel is really good! The only suggestion I would make is to allow customers to pay everything with credit card. We were able to pay using credit card only the daily rate and fridge drinks. All expenses from restaurant, tour and transfers needed to be paid in cash, so being able to pay it all together in card would certainly make it easier for customers

Friendly staff was the standout point. The VALUE and LOCATION this is hard to beat. The staff were extremely accommodating. The owner was chatty and super helpful.

The rooms were just okay. Large hornets/wasps seemed to enter the building at night. They never did anything but it wasn't appealing to see. Our TV didn't really work well and only had one channel. The showers were a bit musty-smelling. The beds only came with one thin blanket and we needed to request more. They were in the middle of expansion, so I expect that this property will improve in the future.

Extremely helpful and accommodating staff. Let us check in very early. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Good air con- tea & coffee facilities in room - ceiling fan - fridge - ample storage for clothes etc - room safe - excellent TV with cable - great bathroom & shower - comfortable bed and fabulous towels ! Water stations on landings which is extremely helpful- nice balcony- good size room. Best place we stayed at out of the 3 we were at in El Nido. Charming place and people. And 2 lovely Dogs ! They have a nice size pool to relax in. Great location very near to centre of town but just far enough out to have peace and quiet.

I hate to criticise but I do feel if the breakfast offering was better it would benefit the Hotel greatly. Not a fan of the canteen/school dinner type of service. Buffet style would be better.

It was an absolute pleasure staying here! The whole team were incredibly friendly and welcoming and always had a smile on their face, even after a long shift! We were greeted by Eric upon our arrival who instantly made us feel welcome, outlining all the best places to eat and tours to go to and where to book. We stayed 7nights, This hotel is clean, the team make sure of it. Our rooms were made daily, restocked with water and if we ran out there are water filters on each floor to top up. Our rooms were spacious and had a good sized balcony with view of the mountains. The bed was comfortable though the pillows are soft (not to my liking but my SO preferred them) Location was spot on as well, only a few minutes walk to all the restaurants and the port but far enough to be quiet from all the noise.

The breakfast could be a little better but other than that everything was perfect.

Breakfast is fantastic. The location is perfect. Everything is accessible. Our stay was perfect! highly recommend!

We stayed in this hotel for four nights and were very pleased with everything. The hotel is perfectly located. It is in the town centre, but on a quieter street, so you do not hear any noise at night and can have a good night sleep. It is immaculately clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Aircon worked very well, even though it was a bit noisy. We didn't use swimming pool, so I cannot comment on this. The breakfast was very nice, even though not too many varieties, but we could always find something nice to eat. There are very many cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. We visited five islands in Philippines and El Nido is the most touristic of all. If you want to hire a scooter or van/taxi transfer i would recommend to do it through the hotel as it is very good value and great service. i would say for the price we paid it was a great hotel.

noisy aircon in the room

The room was a good sized room for a family. We stayed in a double room which had a balcony view of the pool. The room was clean, there was always something different with the breakfast for every morning we stayed and the pool was open for a good period of time during the day which was great. The hotel is walking distance to the town where you can buy souvenirs, get massages, eat and also if you was to do an Island hopping tour the shore where the boats pick you up is literally a 5min walk from the hotel - bonus! Also if you ever meet the owner of the hotel, Eric, he is a top guy! Very hospitable as well as his staff. We told them we were celebrating our Grandparent's 70th Wedding Anniversary and they surprised them with some balloons, wine and a cake set up in their room (as they weren't very mobile) which made them very very happy. So big thank you to the staff and their hospitality!

The only downside is they don't offer extra beds for the double rooms. As we had a 2 year old with us we was hoping they could provide us with an extra bed for her and they don't provide this, not even a cot. So if you do stay here with your family be prepared to bring a travel blow up bed or a travel cot if you have a little toddler with you (unless you share a bed with them).
