spacious, beautiful bungalow with good air con. water pressure was good. great bar for craft beers attached to the property. there are mixed messages on here regarding how far it is from the beach. it’s 15 minutes by walking, not 20, not 10. 15 minute exactly to the Alona sand. we timed it on the Apple Watch to settle the debate. helped us organise a driver for our tour and also for getting to the port. thank you

sometimes you can hear the cats on the property fighting at night - that’s all though! it’s a really great place.

I was able to check in 30 minutes earlier, luckily my room was available so I didn't wait too long. The whole ambience of Alona Pawikan was refreshing, I love that the bungalows was surrounded by greeneries! I was able to spot a calamansi tree! The room smells good when I entered it and I was surprised by the spacious room. No problem with the toilet since it has a bidet, and shower was with heater. Water can be refilled which is a nice thing. They have hand and body soap, sufficient supply of tissue roll. Just bring slippers, toiletries such as shampoo and toothbrush since they don't have it in the room. Location is great! I just walked to the nearby Alona beach.

spacious room and very comfortable. location is about 5 min from beach and restaurants.

super loud at night hard if you want to get a good sleep. I think they do a party only on Tuesdays though but good to keep in mind if you want something more relaxing. was pretty annoying as we wanted to rest and music didn’t stop until late and was extremely loud. other nights was ok.

We stayed in a quiet bungalow at Alona Pawikan for five nights recently during a three-week trip to the Central Visayas Islands. The garden setting in lovely and our room and porch was very comfortable. The staff is incredibly welcoming and allowed us to check two hours early. The attached bar, "Ken's Place" is popular, including with locals, and we often ran into the owner and staff of the dive shop we used there, as well as other divers. They have a great happy hour and what must be the best selection of beers in the Philippines!

The resort is located a bit of a walk from Alona Beach, but there are good restaurants nearby, and we soon got used to it.

We really enjoyed our little hut. The room was spacious and clean and provided everything we needed. The staff was just incredible. Great personalities, friendly, and helpful. The barception made this stay all that much better with great craft beer and delicious food. This bar/restaurant is also a favorite for the locals, so it was a lot of fun to wind down there in the evenings. Thanks so much for such a fun time in Bohol!

We liked everything!

Alona Pawikan is a hidden gem...an oasis...a garden paradise. Whatever you want to call it...it's perfect! I'd say this resort is a garden resort set in beautiful surroundings with the room exteriors blending in perfectly with the garden-type surroundings. If you're not fussed about a swimming pool nor a beachfront view, then Alona Pawikan is definitely the best place to stay. I travel constantly in my line of work and this resort, is, by far...one of the nicest, cleanest and well maintained resorts I've ever stayed in. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful this resort is. The rooms themselves are well decorated, clean and comfortable. The bathroom modern and more importantly, the shower has great water pressure. The resort is only a 5 minute walk to the main street which is home to numerous bars, restaurants and stores. Alona beach, the main tourist spot is likewise only a 10 minute walk. If you want to avoid the techno/reggae thumping beachfront then Alona Pawikan is the best choice...in my opinion. On future visits to Alona, this resort will only ever be the place I'll stay. If they're fully booked, which it was when I stayed, then I'll change my travel schedule to a date when they have rooms available. I fully understand why this place is always fully booked. The resort staff are amazing and sincere in wishing you a great stay. Not the standard service industry smiles and script...it's all sincere, warm and friendly. It all starts with Pamela (reception) and resonates through to kitchen and groundsmen/in-house maintenance guys. Everyone is super friendly. There's a bar and restaurant in the resort serving a massive collection of craft beers, cocktails, shakes etc. They also have a limited but awesome food selection. I had their Beef Pares the first night of my stay and while I thought it was overpowering with the amount of star anise in the dish, the portion size was generous.

Very nice stuff and the owner, nice atmosphere and the garden, quiet and great location (although we struggled a bit to find it as we arrived at night so the sign wasn't very visible), nice terrace with each bungalow!, fridge and electric kettle at room (even some tea and coffee provided). There is an option to rent a scooter directly at Alona for only 350 PHP (if rented for more days), no deposit needed. When we arrived we were told there is some issue with water at our room so they arranged for us the room at different bungalow facility just next to Alona Pawikan which was very nice as well.

On the booking site is written that there is an option to buy breakfast however they do not provide breakfast. But we didn't mind as we enjoyed breakfast on the porch.
