Great property tucked away from the madness of Bohol township, staff are amazing, pool bar for a couple of cocktails and rooms a perfect and large in size with little daybed out front, comfortable beds and pillows, highly recommend staying here All the staff are amazing and had to deal with some extremely rude Russian families and did so with such grace. I wish these families had a tenth of the Philippine people’s kindness ❤️

Alona Motorbike rental guys they recommend are terrible, DO NOT USE THEM, their bikes are trash, some if the worse we have rented, there is a company in town called JL Rentals near Shaka & Coffee L8ter in town where you should go for breakfast that are awesome.

The resort was beautiful, really well maintained and presented and a gorgeous pool area. The staff were fantastic always happy to help and greeted with a smile, nothing was too much trouble. Food was great, especially our breakfast omelettes! Rooms were comfortable and spacious with great a/c. Able to help with arranging a tour to see the chocolate hills, tarsier sanctuary and floating restaurant. Great that we were able to pay by card (with a 3% fee)

There were building works happening next door, minimal noise but there is a bit when sitting by the pool

We went with our 1-year old and there was a play area which he absolutely loved! Great for families with young kids. Shout out to Christian and Susan who took care of us. The chef also cooked us an amazing menu for New Years Eve since it was difficult to party outside with a baby!

Access to Alona Beach is not great for seniors. The road is unpaved and the stairs are very dangerous. Staff can help provide more alternative options for seniors.

Very friendly staff good restaurant and bar and pool facilities. Room was big and comfortable with a nice big terrace as well. The tour offerings that they have are also great and they are efficient in coordinating with the right people. Did the country and the boat tours.

At times there was a strong sewage scent in the bathroom - not exactly sure what caused it. Also the main showerhead was not functioning properly. You cannot pay by card (except with an additional 3% charge and on Aus$) which was unexpected.

Everything is just WOW in this private little paradise. We feel so lucky to be one of the first few guests since it recently opened. The facilities are pristine, the surroundings are gorgeous, the service is impeccable (I forgot something in the bar area, and the staff went to our room to return it). I especially liked the interiors because they're so spacious and well-thought-out. I had to take lots of pics because our room had EXACTLY what I wanted for my own house: nook seating, open shelving, multifunctional built-in console tables... Just smart and stylish!

The beach is a short walk away. This is not a problem, just a heads-up for folks who may be expecting a beachfront location. The area is close to the main road and other establishments but tucked in a private pathway so it's away from the street noise. Perfectly placed.

Our stay was brilliant , pool was good , rooms were very spacious and cleaning everyday was done well. Staff were very friendly and helpful Food was good and reasonable price

It’s 2024 now - there should be an option to pay on card ?! If you pay by PayPal an extra 5% charge on top. Not good. Some of the shower equipment the paint was coming away - I would say this was the only Thing that gave it away it has been worn a lot.

My parents enjoyed their stay in Bathala, it is not criwded. Resort is new, spacious and clean. Thanks to the staff who prepared a little surprise, flowers on bed and greeting cards for them when I told them booking was for my parents anniversary date.

I actually don't want to write a review since I want to keep this hidden gem a secret for myself ;) But seriously, this brand new hotel is fantastic! a stonethrow away from the main beach but away from the hutle and bustle so it's super quiet and cozy with an amazing bar INSIDE the pool. The place is run by foreigners who pay a lot of attention to detail and you can tell by the excellent quality of the rooms, the facilities, the attentive staff and the great food. Please don't tell too many people about this so we can keep it a secret retreat just a little more!

Really clean and spacious rooms. Less than 3 minute walk to Alona Beach, so far enough to be quiet from night life but close enough for it to be walking distance which means really good sleep. The property is exactly the same as in the photos - peaceful and family friendly. The pool was also great aside from how close it is from the beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hassle-free check-in. The room and bathroom also really spacious. We had a great time, even though it was just one night. The rooms also smelled really nice when we checked in. Complimentary bamboo straws was a nice touch.

No card payment. Complimentary slippers would have been nice.

The staff was exceptional, very friendly, helpful and always smiling. The food and drinks at the bar were good. Pool was clean. Everything was perfect and I recommend.

The girl at the reception was very helpful but lack of knowledge. Must be more educated at giving basic information. That is only complaint.
