The location is excellent within short walking distance of the Canals and Main Squares and easily accessable by Trams. Upon booking I was given the door code to get in both to the hotel and my room code by text. The instructions took a bit of working out with Google Translate but some rooms are located across the carpark/courtyard in rooms labelled A,B or C and I hadn't worked this out until I managed to properly translate the text. There were luckily a couple of what I assumed were staff who guided me towards the right door. I didn't see them again so I don't know if the check in desk is manned very much as I came and left late so as is common in Poland if you arrive late and Polish isn't your first language you will need to read the instructions carefully :) The room was clean (very much so) and had everything you needed in a cozy layout.

There wasn't much in the way of facilities, there was what looked like a restaurant/bar in the main entrance however they were having a private event. It's well located near restaurants so it wasn't too much of a problem. Everything I needed was in the room.

Great single room, very comfortable bed. The room had ensuit bathroom and a small room with small fridge, boiler, plate and cutlery. The location is within short distance of rinek, opera is just in front. There is tram on the street, which can take you everywhere in the city. Check in is done by pin codes. This doesn't feel like a hostel at all, more like a building with apartments. Very private.

The shower head was leaking, but shower was possible. There was no hair dryer. There are no blackout curtains (which is normal in Poland), so bring a sleep mask if you don't like the sun in the morning.

The location was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable, and it had its own bathroom. Not like a hostel at all, I would call it more of a tiny apartment! Really pleased with it and would come back.

There was no wifi available.

Our stay was quite comfortable and pleasant. The apartment was specious and clean with comfy beds. We liked the fact that there was a fridge and a kettle in the room. Also air conditioning was a big plus.

The bathroom was super tiny and using it was a real struggle. That was probably the most annoying thing about our stay at the Opera Hostel.

Great value for money. The room is small but perfectly functional for a few days; clean, modern and light. Convenient check-in with key codes.

I stayed at this hostel a bit longer than most would plan too! (an entire month!) The owner and staff were understanding and very accommodating! I just moved to Poland from the U.S. and wanted to stay in a large apartment instead of separate hotel rooms. The options at the Opera Hostel fit my needs and was within the expenses allowed by my company. The location is in the center of the city. Most restaurants and the Mill Island Park area is within walking distance. Breakfast was very good and the establishment is clean and well maintained. If you have any issues during your stay they will be handled promptly. Just be aware that there is not a night manager.

One of the drawbacks to the location was the street noise. You are on one of the most trafficked highways in all of Bydgoszcz, so you hear cars and trams at all hours of the night. The larger trams cause the building to shake when they pass. (If you are a light sleeper, or plan to stay here more than one or two nights, definitely request a room facing away from the street!) The other drawback is that the manager and owner do not speak English. This led to complicated translation exchanges over phone apps and computers. Luckily, I had a company representative that could translate conversation for important matters like billing! There is not a night manager. If you don't speak Polish, communicating an emergency in the middle of the night over the phone is problematic.

Great location, a couple of minutes walk to public transport, restaurants and the center of the city. The room was comfortable and clean, including the bathroom.

Check in was a bit confusing, the staff was not speaking English but they had a great attitude.
