I’ve probably slept over 500 nights in hostels, in over 70 countries. This is one of the best ones in the world i think. Great backpacker experience, daily events, great friends, amazing atmosphere, it looks exactly like the photos. It isn’t some “poshtel” you might find some places. This is a cabin in the woods with cats, a goat and a horse, where you can kick off your boots and sit around a fire and tell travel stories and have a beverage. These places are few and far between. So glad i found it! Thanks to all the volunteers and the owners! What a magical experience!

This is a basic hiker's hostel located 4 km from busy Zakopane, whose volunteers go the extra mile on friendliness and helpfulness. They offer 'freebies' like a pasta or sausage dinner, chosen films, etc which makes for a sociable stay. OK, you may have to wait for a free bathroom or the use of the kitchen, but the pluses make up for that. There are even used hiking boots or small backpacks for rent. All in all, a great stay in the Tatra mountain area. Take bus #11 or #21 right next to the train station, making sure it's the right direction, to Jaszczurówka bus stop.

Probably the best hostel experience I ever had. Charming place with chilled out vibes , really friendly staff and nice guest. I stayed there for a week and everyday was really good. Hostel is located in very close distance to the National Park , close to the bus stop and Zabka is nearby :) Best place to experience holiday abroad while staying in Poland - most of people in the hostel were international backpackers , hikers and volunteers.

Can't complain about anything.

The atmosphere of the place is wonderful. The people were very nice and interesting. The bed and bathroom were clean. The location is very nice, you can leave the house and go straight to the trail. The only problem is parking, because you have to leave your car on the main road 200 m away and there is not always space there.

Generally, there was no space to prepare your own meal (sandwiches), there were dirty dishes in the sink despite the notices stuck on the wall telling everyone to wash up after themselves. You are not allowed to wear shoes around the facility - ok, I understand, but when there are a lot of people in the house, something needs to be done with the shoes because they are all lying around the door in a mess.

I will repeat what other comments says but anyway : Of course the staff of volunteers is just amazing, I even wanted to be part of them. There isn't the time to get bored in that place, always surrounded by people, always finding mates for activities. The vibe and the mentality of that hostel is the best I've ever experienced. The breakfast is a happy moment, thank you so much guys for everything. Of course I have to mention as well, that sometimes you can experience the beautiful surprise of very tasty cake in the main room, or sometimes a dinner for everyone is served. It's like feeling at home, I've heard that phrase more than once.

The astonishing lack of personal space . I admit if it's the right place to meet people, it's not the right place for intimacy. Just puting a curtain for each bed would be already excellent! There is a lack of facilities, a lack of convenient storages to put your belongings. Sometimes there is the queue for using the toilets or the kitchen, that needs to be mentionned!

The wooded house is situated in the middle of the woods and you feel at home the moment you drive up to this place. The hostel has a very homey feeling: they provide sleepers/flipflops as they are shoe-free and the living room is extremely cozy with couches and blankets. The staff greatly contributes to the relaxed atmosphere as they are helpful and kind to everyone. One of my favorite hostels I have ever visited!

As the building is rather old, the doors are a bit noisy and there are not so many bathrooms. However, as everyone was very respectful and considerate, this didn't cause any issues.

This hostel is perfect for hikers! It's conveniently located near the trails and a bus stop, making it easy to catch a bus to places like Lysa Poliana. The staff are friendly and helpful, and all speak perfect English. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and a small kitchen has a fridge/forks/knives. Although it's a bit far from the railway station, I see the walk here as a nice warm-up before the hike. I stay at this hostel in Zakopane almost every time I spend a night before heading to the mountains

The hostel's charming blend of modern aesthetics and rustic elements immediately caught my eye, creating a cozy and visually appealing environment. The staff members were friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any questions or requests I had during my stay. The hostel's strategic location great advantage, offering easy access to the shortest nicest sunset hike NOSAL

However, there was one minor drawback that slightly dampened my experience. Unfortunately, the dryer in the hostel was not functional during my stay. Given the frequent rain showers that had occurred, many guests, including myself, had damp clothing and hiking gear that needed drying. It would have been immensely helpful if the dryer had been operational to address this common need, especially for those who had been out exploring the beautiful but sometimes wet surroundings

The atmosphere of this place is created by volunteers who take care of the guests. They're doing great and they're very helpful. During your stay you can count on watching videos together, hints on trails and routes, bonfires, warm beer etc. At least once in your life you have to experience it. The bedding was clean and the water in the shower was warm, so luckily I did not need it :-)

Most of the crew speaks English, but is able to say something in Polish😉
