good pool sizes for kids onside dining - basic : pizzas (€12) , Omelettes €10, sandwiches €7/8 . ideal for families with kids. staff excellent- taxis arrived within minutes of ordering . very cheap also €25 to Villamoura ( I’d recommend instead of Albufeira which is very tacky ) apartment was very clean which I liked . a washing machine & drier which was a welcome bonus. oven , microwave, kettle - all good quality facilities. clean towels as needed condiments left in room also local supermarket & pharmacy at the gate with small coffee shop , fresh croissants & coffee (€1!!!!) milk , bread & all the essentials

beach is a bit of a trek especially with a buggy & small kids . however , it is stunning

They have multiple pools on site and you can access each one as a guest which means you are not using the same pool each day if you don’t want to. The whole resort is spotless including our apartment. The apartment was modern and spacious, perfect for the 6 of us. It was also located close to a few of the pools so we didn’t have to walk too far. There is a few different dining options on site all with different menus. The whole resort is very peaceful and relaxing.

Our accommodation was lovely and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good price. There is as a lady Nelea who worked at our pool bar. She was so friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. She deserves a mention. All the staff we met were lovely.

The only thing that needs attention is the outdoor areas. Our little patio was very dirty and looking at othered they were the same. I stayed before and our outside area was dirty too. We wouldn’t sit outside at all. It was such a pity because inside the villa was spotless. Also a towel change in our 3 day stay would have been nice.

Really friendly staff, full of information, and super helpful. Gorgeous resort, absolutely perfectly manicured lawns, palm trees and flower beds etc, nothing was out of place. Fantastic family feel the people were very friendly, the pools were excellent. two good restaurants on site. We didn't use the golf facilities but I hear they are good too. Lovely apartment, 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, spotlessly clean and cleaned during the week with fresh towels etc. I thought it was excellent value for money and will definitely go back.

it was a little bit out of town, but no problem, taxis picked us up at our apartment's front door. The same goes for transfers to the airport which were arranged by the reception team.

GREAT value for money accommodation. The hotel (accommodation and common area) is quite simple but VERY comfort and clean. Perfect if you want to enjoy your time by the pool, not necessarily wanting to be by the beach. Walking distance to nice places - specially bars & restaurants at night. Drinks & food were tasty and at a good cost. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is family-friendly so swim pool can get busy enough. Anyhow there are plenty options of swim pools for you to find a spot. The nearest beaches can seem quite far from the hotel - especially at the heat during summertime.

Apartment was very well equipped, washing machine, table dryer airer, dishwasher etc... Massive 2 bed apartment . Lots of swimming pools, all clean, plenty sun loungers, always managed to get no matter what time we went to pool. Helpful staff. Firm comfy mattresses.

The apartment was very spacious, 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, front and back balcony and also the sofa turns into a sofa bed. The kitchen had all the electronics in working order with all pots, pans and utensils. There is hair dryer and washing machine. Many heaters were available for the night time when it got cold (visited in February). There is a quiet, beach close by around 10 minutes walking distance. A nice and friendly little cafe, pharmacy and minimarket within the facility. Children's play area is close by to most of the apartment/villas. Lots of outdoor pools available. Check out was very fast and smooth. Our main mode of transport was via uber and was very reasonable in price. Lovely, tranquil area. Would definitely stay here again. (Family of 3)

Check in time was quite late in the day (4pm), no option to check in early despite informing staff via booking app of our arrival and check out time. The televison was small and no option to connect to your phone (Bluetooth / Wi-Fi mirroring) or working multimedia option. No washing up liquid (dishes) or additional bin bags but there are bins allocated right outside the apartment which u can empty your rubbish into daily which helps.

I love the location of the Village and the size of the unit. It’s a little dated in decor but very clean and the outside grounds are beautiful. It’s also very nice to receive clean towels every few days and all the staff is very nice.

I had to go out and buy my own dish clothes, oven mitts, cleaning supplies and rags. And the mattresses are awful - they are so hard, it’s like sleeping on the floor. However, the staff finally found a mattress topper which made it a bit better. I rented a car because it would be quite a walk to get groceries, etc.

We are just back from a 10 day stay ,We were very happy .The Staff were so nice,very friendly and always helpful.The 3bed superior Villa was great we were a family of 7 (6 adults and 1 child),plenty of space and our villa was right at the whale pool..very clean place..Lovely atmosphere..Very quiet ,its great for a relaxing holiday .Spar Supermarket is right at the front..U will need to get a taxi if your goin into the strip its a little out but they have a taxi service on site which we used daily and was reasonably priced both Pedro and the other gentleman were lovely..Overall a great Holiday and will be returning next year..

Needs more upgrading like painting from wear and tear and sockets in the wall need fixing were very loose

Great place. Loved the feel of being in a peaceful village complex with lovely villas/apartments all set in beautiful maintained gardens/grounds. Balaia Golf village has a great choice of pools and poolside bars/restaurant for us to choose from. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. The villa was fully equipped for our needs as a family with a young baby and super clean. Great location, away from the busyness and noise of clubs and pubs but close enough to walk or taxi too if wanted. Shops and restaurants also within walking distance. Will definitely go back next year!
