Great new hostal that is well located, has good showers, great lights, comfy beds and lovely staff.

Only ONE thing. The dorm lights are turned on and off by card keys but when everyone is sleeping, if you want to go to the bathroom you'll need to activate all lights in the whole dorm in order to have lights in the bathroom..I spent the whole night being woken up by every new person who got back from partying in the middle of the night and every dorm resident who needed to go pee at night. Really ridiculous electric set up, imo. Why not have bed side lighting on every bed like in almost all other hostals? And, most importantly, a normal switch light in the toilets, disconnected from all others and, most essentially, from the card key.

This hostel is excellently situated in central Braga, just a short distance from the bus station. The facilities are modern and well-maintained, offering a sense of cleanliness and organization. The beds are comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the bathrooms are kept tidy and comfortable. The reception service was outstanding, characterized by professionalism and efficiency. The staff are attentive, friendly, and helpful. One of the highlights is the hostel's restaurant, which serves a hearty breakfast complete with sandwiches, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and various snacks. The price is reasonable considering the quality of service provided, making it a worthwhile choice for travelers. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to explore Braga and the surrounding areas

Super new, modern and trendy. Clean linen on bunk bed and towels provided were all clean. Wifi was good. Small lockers provided (with a key provided). Spare blanket provided but not needed as room had aircon (and you could choose the temperature- easy to work). Room had blackout curtains. Shower had shampoo/shower gel provided. Had an outdoor seating area and multiple lounge areas. Kitchen had a microwave. They have a luggage room if you need to store your bag for the day before an evening bus. Breakfast was awesome: fresh baked buns, margarine, jam, ham, cheese, tomato and cucumbers, cornflakes, chocolate flakes cereal, fresh fruit (oranges, pears, bananas), tea and coffee. Location was close to bus station (ALSA/Flixbus 900m walk away); close to old town and close to a local bus stop if you want a bus to Bom Jesus.

The bathroom (had both a shower and a toilet in it) is within the 8 bed dorm room and sometimes you had to queue to use it. There is another couple of toilets on the floor below if you really needed to go, but a bit of a walk during the night. But no other shower options if someone already in the bathroom. There were light switches by the bunk beds but they all seemed to operate lights that illuminate multiple bunks (rather than an individual bunk bed). Clean bunkroom and bathroom but crockery at breakfast was dirty and the kitchen needed a clean. Despite saying all that I would still recommend staying.

Good location. Good food in restaurant with very good prices. Good breakfast. They also had gluten free bread for me! Staff at breakfast were so sweet and kind. Comfy bed. Towels and blanket. Nice bathroom in dorm with good shower. Laundry available with dryer. Kept very clean.

Im less than 1.5 mtrs tall and still, I couldnt sit on the bed. The bed above me was too low. No bed lamp. The ceiling light of the room was too bright and it was the only light one could use. The receptionist told me to wait 20 mins. After an hour, I went to ask her if the room is ready. She was annoyed and her attitude was not kind at all. The card system in the room is not convenient. The light is on only if someone s card is in. If the person leaves, and you re in the bathroom, the light will go off. This hostel is literally like a big hotel. No sense of hostel at all.

I have stayed in a number of hostels, and I must say that my experience at HI Braga - Pousada de Juventude tops them all. Its about 15 mins away from the bus terminal on foot and is located opposite a tall and long yellow building. My first impression of the hostel was that it certainly didn’t look or feel like one. The serenity that greeted me when I entered, made me feel like I had entered the reception of a trendy and cool co-working space. The hostel is really big on the Sustainable Development Goals, and if you have zero knowledge about the SDGs, you’ll get to see a lot of things that educate you about it. The bins placed in the rooms and around the hostel all had color coded compartments that help you recycle waste properly, and even the bathrooms had friendly reminders about water usage. The rooms were very neat and spacious enough for a hostel room. My room had 4 bunks that were splint into 2 different compartments and a bathroom and toilet for the 8 occupants to share. Each bed had a charging port for a 2-pin charger and a usb port. When I checked in, I was given a key card, a key to my locker and a meal ticket for breakfast the next morning. The locker had a blanket, 1 large towel and 2 smaller towels in it. The hostel has several places to sit and relax. The lobby downstairs, the common room upstairs and a sit out area upstairs. There are also rest rooms located near the lobby and the common room. The common room has a vending machine for coffee and another for snacks and drinks/water, and a kitchen with a microwave and fridge. The lobby and common room also had interactive screens where you can look at places to visit in the city, create an itinerary and send to your phone. You can also choose to get a map of the city from the reception. I was really impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hostel and the facilities there and I know that I’ll definitely lodge there again when next I’m in Braga.

I arrived before 3 hours of check in and staff was so nice they kept my luggage without any extra charge. So Staff is really helpful. Room was nice. There were 8 beds in the room . Beds were nice . The bathroom was in the room. Thanks to booking.com I got free breakfast and Hi Braga has really good breakfast , good options to choose from. Check-out was at 12 but my bus for next destination was at 1 so they helped me to kept my bag there after check out. Again I must stay Staff is helpful. Staff 10/10 Cleanliness 9/10 Check-in/Check-out 10/10 Location 9/10 Privacy 0/10

No privacy was there in room . Some curtains around the bed could be installed Lights only work with keycard that means someone has to put their keycard every time which is used to open the door too. As this is sharing room something about light system can be changed as even at night to use the light in bathroom you need to put keycard .

This hostel was so good in terms of value for money!! I stayed one night with a friend and we had our own private bathroom, towels were provided, and there was lots of storage space. The location was excellent - very close to the city centre and in what seemed to be the vibrant part of Braga.

This didn't really affect my stay at all but it's worthy to note that the free wifi service works very poorly - it turns off every minute or so, and then back on. So you're able to use it to send messages etc without a problem but obviously if you're looking to stream a video or take a video/Teams call, it won't work.

Very nice and modern hostel sharing the same building with the university campus. There was a spacious living room, canteen, small kitchen, terrace and other amenities. The location is excellent: 5 minutes by foot from the old city center of Braga. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I liked the room, however there were no curtains on the bed (lack of privacy), no light near the bed, and the mattress was too hard, not comfortable. I think that these points could be improved. There was only one bathroom in a room for 8 people. I think there might be queues sometimes because of this.

Lovely place, modern design, very clean and tidy. Good bathroom, nothing leaks or broken, hot water exists :-) and they provide you with two towels. Beds are nice and clean, sturdy and don't squeak, also there is a small shelf with charger and usb port to charge devices. Location is awesome, close to the city center. Also breakfast was delicious, just enough food, worth it 100%.

Unfortunately no privacy curtains nor reading light, so when the lights are on it's very bright on the top bed and dark on the lower bed. Lockers were ok but my relatively small 40L backpack didn't fit.. had to place it next to the bed and put my most valuable stuff inside the locker.

Super nice hostel, new and very clean, quite big, with a big common area and also an outside area. The room and the bathroom were super nice, very clean, and they give you towels :)

The door of the bathroom was super loud so it woke me up a few times Also it’s not super well soundproof and you can hear when there’s people talking in the hallway so I recommend you to take your earplugs :)
