I rented a 1 bedroom self catering apartment in the resort and it was absolutely devine. It was very spacious with everything I needed. It consisted of a fully stocked kitchen with oven, stove top, fridge, microwave and washing machine. It had an open plan lounge / dining room with aircon / heater with a big balcony and stunning views of the sea and sun shining in all day. The 1 bedroom had 2 super comfortable single beds and a cupboard and aircon/heater and hair dryer station. The bathroom has bath and shower and basin as well as a heater. Water pressure was great and warm. The resort itself was very quiet, it's was so peaceful and welcome break. It has 3 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, tennis courts, table tennis tables scattered all over in the beautiful gardens and much more. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and the best cappuccino at the coffee shop on site. The store on site was also well stocked and I was able to buy all the groceries I needed for the 5 nights stay. Reception staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and spoke good English. There are stunning walks from the resort along the cliff tops and sea with the most amazing views and sunsets. Cannot wait to be back.

Well located, lots of amenities, plenty of room for the whole family. The kitchen had all the dishes, utensils, pots & pans, cooking tools that we needed. Laundry machine very helpful. We also enjoyed the pool almost every day. The supermarket was very handy, as was the cafe and the restaurant on property. An easy drive to Carvoeiro for exploring. Also very nice to have a cleaning service once during our 4-day stay. A very good value for accommodations.

It would have been nice to have a few things stocked in the kitchen. I had to buy olive oil, coffee, laundry soap, napkins, cleaning rags. There was one small bottle of shampoo and one small bottle of shower gel, which wasn't really enough for our family. Everything is available at the resort supermarket, but it seemed a bit of a waste to buy a bottle of olive oil and only use 1/4 of it. Still, we felt Rocha Brava was a very good value for what we paid.

It was in the middle of the cliff walk. Stunning views!! The resort is very big. Beautiful pool area. Note: There is a bus stop literally around the corner from the property that can take you to Benigil Caves, Portimão ($9 for two people) or other towns. It is not advertised. You don’t need to take a taxi ($60). They have excursions available at the front desk. Friendly people. Cafe and restaurant. we went to the Lighthouse Restaurant (short walk) which had an amazing view on the terrace. BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS!! You can watch the sunset.

The shuttle that goes three times a day went to the same location. There were sugar ants in the kitchen. but they quickly took care of it. 👍🏽

The Rocha Brava village suited us perfectly. We wanted the benefits of a resort (restaurants, 24 reception, different pools, shop) but our own private villa. We rented a three bedroom villa with a pool. It was immaculate and well appointed. It was cleaned every other day! Every room had air conditioning. We opted to have the outdoor pool heated and we're really pleased we did as our small children could use it for hours each day. The resort pools were also enjoyable but too cold (May) for the little ones. As mentioned in other reviews the grounds are beautiful to walk around and you can easily access the clifftop walk with stunning views and ending up at picturesque beaches. There are a lot of restaurants nearby (and some deliver to the villa - great when kids asleep and you don't want to cook!) and the hotel offers a free shuttle to the local village. It was easy to hire kayaks and paddle boards and arrange boat trips. All towels (villa and pool) were included so you don't need to pack them!

The only thing we would do next time is to book for the buffet breakfast as they were not able to accommodate a dairy allergy easily if you just walked in.

The location was great as it was walking distance to two beaches 15-20 minutes. We were able to access the trails at the back of the property via a key access gate and the views were great. There was no shortage of restaurants with the cafe and a restaurant on-site. The restaurant was good. The pool bar (snack version of the restaurant) was also good and perfect for poolside drinks. The resort itself had everything you needed including a grocery store which we found to be decently priced for the convenience. They had a large assortment of products - baked goods, drinks, wines. The produce was slim but for a resort grocery store, it makes sense. There was a main pool and 2 smaller pools. We used the ones farther away from reception as it was much quieter. The staff were pleasant enough. Eugenia at reception assisted us with getting checked in as soon as we were able to get our room as we arrived quite early. It was fairly busy given the time of year but the grounds were spacious and it wasn't noisy. I would probably try visiting in June or September next time. Our apartment was fully equipped and perfect for our 5 night stay. We had a nice balcony where we sat to watch sunset and also our breakfast. We had a washing machine in the kitchen and a clothes line outside. Housekeeping was every other day which was perfect. We had no issues with our apartment. We lost power twice but it was restored within 30 minutes, I suspect it was resort wide but we weren't bothered. They have a kids club with lots of activities for the little ones, Monday through Friday. It closes for lunch at 1-2 and closes at 6pm. We only used it once as we were mostly exploring off the resort but the kids enjoyed the face painting. I very much enjoyed our stay there and would return.

Having to pay cash for activities such as mini golf, airport transfer taxi, cave tours.

EVERYTHING!! We are just back from a 10night stay in Rocha Brava. We LOVED everything. Our flight was delayed so we didn’t get to check in until 2:30am but this wasn’t a problem. Luis was in reception and he was so welcoming and lovely. We stayed in a two bedroom Villa (210) which was so well located. Beside the main pool, restaurant, supermarket and cafe. Our first meal was breakfast in the cafe. Menu fantastic food fab. The facilities are terrific. Pools great. We used all Bar the heated pool. The beach is stunning. We did visit all the local beaches. Each one beautiful. We also did the cave boat trip, slide and splash and Zoomarine. All super trips so close to RB. We are a family of four (14&16yr olds). Villa has everything we could need. Everything worked perfectly. Very clean and comfortable. I hope we will be back.

A little thing I might suggest is a few slides would be great. Not necessarily ending in the pool. Maybe tapering out so it could be an easy addition but great for bigger kids and adults. I normally love Morning coffee on the balcony soaking up the morning sun when everyone else is still sleeping. Our balcony got the sun in the evening. Not something RB could change but I might ask when booking again.

The exceptionally nice staff coupled with the location and proximity to excellent food and beaches.

I would have expected that booking trips to ZooMarine would have been cheaper when booked through reception with a discount on the online price. I checked on the bus to ZooMarine and I could have booked the same tickets and bus transfer for around €18 cheaper. With respect to the property, other than a very slight issue with plumbing in the en-suite, the apartment was great. Cleaned every second day with replacement towels. The apartment had everything needed including reliable broadband, which kept the kids happy and occupied.

Everything was perfect. From check in to check out. Space : We took a 1 bed apartment and it was very spacious for a family of 3 ( they provided extra rolling bed ). Balcony was spacious and great space to relax. Rooms come with Air cons. There are 3 swimming pools overall and plenty for kids. Other activities includes tennis , table tennis, crazy golf ( which we didn’t play much). Location wise its near to Carvoeiro center( RB provides transport options ). If you have car then worth exploring near by towns ( Albufiera/ Lagos / Portimao etc. ) Food : RB has a cafe which is opened from 9 am till midnight 12 am. Lots of options for breakfast/ lunch and dinner ( Ala carte ) There is also a restaurant for unlimited dining options ( buffet breakfast/ lunch / dinner) There is a supermarket inside( quite costly) but will do the job for you. ATM machines also available. Ppl and staff are very friendly Overall worth every penny. I would come back soon

Nothing to dislike about the property.

Lovely, quiet, clean village. We stayed in a 2 bed garden view apartment no.521A. Lovely big apartment, comfortable and right by the garden pool. Pool lovely and warm even in early May. We stayed a week and the Cleaner came in on Mon, Weds and Fri. Changed towels each time and fresh bedding on Weds. Facilities good. Shop slightly more expensive than the Intermarche which is 5 min drive but useful to have shop on site. There is also a small Spar shop a few minutes down the road. Cafe food is good and they do take away. Did not use restaurant.

Needed more kitchen equipment in apartment. No oven trays or oven gloves.

See view was great, lots of steps but to be expected with the location Bonus being near the pool with sea view The apartment was on 2 floors, it was light and airy and had good air conditioning, although not in the living room. Wonderful to have cleaning and clean towels after two days

The double bed was too small. There is plenty of room for a bigger bed that would be a definite plus. My husband had to sleep in the other room when family had left as the bed was so small. Not enough sun umbrellas on the balcony it was very hot and very little shade
