Nice, small, cosy hotel. Friendly staff. They just have a jacuzzi in one suit, not for everybody's use, this was a little bit sad, but the sauna and steam room were very good, and you can book it just for your privet sessions. Good size pool outside, just I was in November didn't try it, but in warmer season should be lovely, but still nice area outside, very quiet and relaxing. Lovely old church not far from the hotel, quiet village. Dinner in the restaurant was very delicious, breakfast had good choice of food, and restaurant staff very nice and helpful, all small details done with nice style, even tableware so gorgeous. I enjoyed staying there and had a good rest.

The hotel's team with the Paulas, Inês, Ana, Eduarda and Miguel in the restaurant and the reception team with Souza, Telma, Raquel and Ricardo were exceptionally solicitous in every aspect and deserve all the credits for the hotel success! Restaurant with good options and reasonable prices is a wonderful choice in the house. Maribeth as the masseur is exceptionally prepared to treat your every problem. We stayed there for more than a month and were able to see the dedication all the employees have for their job and the place itself! Congratulations to all of them!

Really, nothing very important to report.

The grounds and amenities were beautiful and comfortable. We especially liked all of the community spaces as we were travelling as an extended family and this allowed us to gather together outside of the individual rooms. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety. We ordered a room service dessert that was incredible. The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and kind, from the front desk, to housekeeping to restaurant. My son left behind his favorite stuffed animal and they even arranged to have it shipped to us at a future stop on our itinerary. Would highly recommend.

The only downside for us (and others may see this as a benefit) was that the mattress was incredibly firm.

The palace offers spacious comfortable rooms for a good price. Breakfast buffet has everything you need and more. Short drive for Coimbra in a quiet village. Parking spaces availble in front of hotel (public) or on a fenced parking (inside and outside).

The bed is kind of hard/firm. The window in the bathroom could not be opened. The window in the bedroom can open but we where on ground level and the window opens to the garden (public space), so not private/safe. There is a bar in the hotel, next to the restaurant, but it was only opened upon request at the reception.

We had an amazing (unfortunately just 1 night) stay at this hotel. The room and bathroom were both very spacious. The breakfast was perfect and fresh - so many options to choose from. Parking was easy. If you have a car it is also really easy to get to Coimbra. We really enjoyed the whole vibe of this hotel. And it's also really affordable. Will definitely stay here again if we ever decide to go to Coimbra/Portugal again.

The only complaint I have is that the matress was too hard, but everything else was perfect! You do need a car for this location though.

Value for money, close to Coimbra, if you have a car, quietness, polite stuff

As noted in the comments, the mattress feels quite similar to spending a night on a yoga mat. The pillows are great for lounging, whether you're watching a movie or reading, but when it comes to sleep, you'll need to make a compromise: either use a large one or a small one, as there's no middle option. But I would still recommend this charming place, especially for its service and value for money.

I appreciated having access to a quiet library and meeting room that I could use for free to work late at night without being disturbed or disturbing others. Staff was pleasant, room was comfortable, and the restaurant was excellent.

I booked one night initially via booking. Then I decided to book an additional night and I called the hotel directly for that. I didn't like that the per night price I payed via booking was significantly more than what I payed for the second night directly to the hotel.

Staff were very friendly and the hotel was smart and clean

Coffee machine was to slow needed another however the coffee was good, Orange juice far to sweet but Pineapple was nice. Bacon and eggs a little boring could have been a better selection or eggs cooked to order. Gym equipment didnt work We heard the Restaurant wasn't very good we never had a meal there as my partner has a lot of intolerances i`e Gluten free non dairy.

Quite nice room overlooking pool area. Parking onsite. Friendly greeting on arrival. Very good restaurant onsite.

We felt that being English speakers may have been a detriment. We advised the front desk of having only one bath towel which was not replaced as promised. The restaurant did not have our reservation for 7:30 but we were the first to arrive so were seated right away, then the last to be served dinner once the place started filing up. It was subtle but noticeable.

Our short stay at the hotel was excellent. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was ideal for us being on the ground floor with a walk in shower, we are not disabled, just elderly. We had dinner in the restaurant, again, a wonderful experience. The restaurant staff were extremely attentive, in particular, the restaurant manageress, Paula, she went out of her way to make sure that all of her clients had the best experience possible. We'll done Paula! The hotel grounds and pool were all well kept and looked very inviting. We will definitely be back, hopefully with the same room.

It was a little disappointing that there wasn't a bar at the hotel, but that is my personal choice. Also there is nowhere to really walk out to on an evening( not that I could find).
