Our two bedroom apartment was located in the historical center with easy access by foot to the main sites such as the famous Coimbra university and the medieval Cathedral. The apartment was on the top floor of an old building but was beautifully renovated. It was charming as it was an attic type of apartment with a smart distribution of the spaces and a modern kitchen and bathroom. The hotel staff was very kind and friendly and helped us take the luggage up to out our apartment.

The only surprise was that there was not an elevator to get to the fifth floor which meant that a good level of fitness was needed to climb the stairs. It would be convenient if Booking.com displayed in which floor the apartment is located, and advice if there's not an elevator.

This apartment was AMAZING! The design was gorgeous & modern, yet super comfy. There was darling a patio garden right outside our kitchen door where we enjoyed meals. The kitchen was well appointed and easy to cook in. They even have oil to cook with, which is a detail a lot of places miss. There is a very small grocery store about a minutes walk away. Prices were good and I found what I needed to make dinner at home. The apartment was immaculately clean and smelled great. We had tons of room to spread out. We didn’t use the washing machine, but nice they have one if people need it. They are associated with Hotel Oslo, so we were able to use their hotel rooftop bar…best views of Coimbra at night and a good selection of drinks. It was an easy walk to all the sights in the old town/university. Parking was a breeze, right across the street in the parking garage. The staff was the nicest I I’ve ever encountered traveling. They let us check in early since the apartment was ready, and that was greatly appreciated. They helped us with our luggage, and made us feel immediately at home. I was sad we only had two nights. I would 100% stay here again.

Location is very central in the Coimbra old town: handy to everything. Quiet at night. We also liked the "roof garden". The reception staff (at Hotel Oslo) and the young staff on-site at Entre Ruas (for cleaning and replacement of supplies) were extremely helpful. Overall, the apartment was spacious for three people, with two bedrooms and a big lounge/dining space.

Very minor points: we were up two flights of stairs, so could be a problem for people with mobility problems or a lot of heavy luggage. There is a good washing machine, but no dryer. There is a drying rack, but the fixed "hotel style" coathangers are an irritation. The second "single" bedroom was smallish, but adequate. Try as I might, I can't think of any other negatives.

The staff at Hotel Oslo walked us to the apartment the evening we arrived, explained where to park, and was extremely helpful and courteous. The apartment's location just off the main pedestrian walking street in Coimbra was excellent, we walked everywhere from there. We bought pastries at various shops along the street every morning and brought them back to the apartment to have with coffee and tea we made in the kitchen. We loved having the washing machine and used it to do multiple loads while we were there. It rained both days we were there otherwise we would have used the outdoor space, which was lovely.

Gorgeous, newly renovated property and very friendly, helpful staff!! The apartment building is on the Main Street which is convenient for tourists. The apartment is several blocks and a steep staircase away from the check-in point but the staff will escort you, help transfer your luggage, and make sure you get settled before they leave you. Free parking was great!

With the convenient location does come the trade off of noise from the Main Street - late night street musicians, pedestrians, bar crowd, and early morning power washing of the street were all a bit of a nuisance for me. Parking was a little stressful because when I arrived, there was not an open spot in front of the Oslo Hotel. I had to drive around until a spot opened up so I could then check in and get permanent parking instructions.

The apartment was really nice and cozy, clean, modern and well maintained, and fit just right for myself, my husband and our toddler. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The location is right at the center of old town Coimbra, walking distance or a short taxi drive from all the main attractions. Keep in mind though that the street is a pedestrian street and is not accessible by car, except for late at night or early in the morning.

Appartment is located in the beautufull old center of Coimbra, in vicinity there are many cafes and restaurants and it is very easy to reach the University buildings from there. App is big enough, comfortable, clean and very nicely decorated, great view from the small balcony and hidden garden on the back side. I understand the same owner also runs nearby hotel Oslo, so you check in in the hotel and you can also store luggage there if needed. All personel is very kind and helpfull!

Generally, when you are out of country and home, you are searching for zone for best staying. It was amazing experience staying in Entre Ruas apartment. The staff were brilliant, from the very first meeting one of our host explained everything not only about the apartment, abut the whole city. Ricardo, our host was very attentive. He was very helpful during our stay. The apartment honestly exceeded our expectations. Location is really superb.

It was unclear/impossible to route water to shower head in 2nd bathroom. In primary bathroom shower, which we all had to use because of issue with other shower, the drain was so slow/clogged that you risked water overflowing and would need to turn water off while showering. It was also unclear from listing that we would have to walk 5+ minutes plus steps with luggage from reception.

Beautifully renovated old building in the center of Coimbra. Very well equipped and very comfortable. The apartment in which we stayed was huge and had access to the garden. The apartments were serviced every day (if you weren't inside at the time) by a very friendly team.

It's not really a negative, but it's worth noting that the climb up the stairs to the upper floors is an exercise in itself.
