We had room 211 with breakfast in this centrally located hotel with luggage drop-off ability temporarily parked on the street 100 feet away from hotel. Quiet location, very clean room with hallway and room finishing details and materials usually only found at high-end hotels. Obtain 10 Euro per day prepaid parking ticket for indoor parking garage located about 100 to 125 meters north of hotel. Hotel is about 200 meters away from the main street (Rua Borges/Rua Visc. da Luz). Very convenient 30 meters walk on same street to very good Solar do Bacalhau Restaurant (nice interior) and about 100 meters to very good Italian Tartufo Restaurant on same street. Variety of items with the included breakfast. Different staff people I met at the front desk were always nice and helpful.

Very good location near town centre and only 2 minutes from Coimbra train station (not to be confused with Coimbra B stations!). The room had two single beds, as requested, there was enough space to move around and both room and bathroom were clean. Staff at reception were friendly, and our room was available before check-in time which was great!

We could hear another guest talking for hours non stop late into the night, there is not much sound proofing. The ventilator in the bathroom was not working, in the morning the bathroom walls were still wet and the mirror still foggy!

A nice little old hotel with an updated air about it. Staff are professional. Parking is inconvenient - about 300 meters away and $10 a day, but it is a good walking neighborhood. We parked the rental car and didn't use it for the two days we were there Good restaurants and patisseries nearby. We did not take breakfast at the hotel as we enjoyed exploring the wide range of regional pastries for which Portugal is famous.

Small cozy hotel in good location with clean rooms and breathtaking view. Rooms are more stylish in person than in the picture. Matresses neither too soft, not too hard. Towel were not soft - but I like it better like that - with massage effect :) Air confitioner and hairdryer work well. Water temperature in the shower in easy to set. Very hot water available.

A little overpriced to my mind for (even though good and very clean) 2stars hotel (stayed in the end of June - maybe that is why). No vegetables and little fruit at the breakfast (though other food - pastry, eggs, cheeses and ham, jams and coffee - was of good quality).

The location of this hotel was great, near the old town but also in the central part of the city. The hotel has great staff and friendly, helpful receptionists; Denise in particular was wonderful. The food was good and the buffet had enough variety to offer something for everybody. A few more pastries, such as homemade pasteis de nata, would be amazing, and croissants every day! The espresso machine was a definite plus and I would love if they could find a way to steam milk for cappuccinos and lattes!. We really appreciated how clean everything was!

The room was VERY small. There was room on each side of the bed for a small night table, but the closet couldn’t open all the way because the night table (which couldn’t be moved) was there. So, half the closet was not accessible, and it wasn’t very big. Also, there was no place for two people to put luggage. There was a small desk and chair, but no comfortable chair in the room. The bathroom needed hooks and a shelf or two for travelers to put their toiletries. Also, it would be nice if the hotel provided body lotion and offered all the amenities in big bottles, instead of tiny ones that are so bad for the environment. And, we needed a place to plug in all our devices - there weren’t enough outlets.

The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. They are perfect for a visit to this wonderful gem of a town. The location, a two-minute walk from the train station, is excellent and close to everything that Coimbra has to offer. This hotel is family-run with many personal touches – the flowers and much of the fruit at breakfast come from the family’s garden. The daughter, who is often behind the front desk, provided great restaurant recommendations and introduced us to some of the regional specialties. She also shared information on all the major highlights of the city. We had a lovely stay and recommend both this hotel and Coimbra.

Location is excellent, right in the old Baixa part of town, and next to the Coimbra railway station, making transport super easy. Breakfast had a good range of options. Room was clean, and had nice view over the river. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and gave us a kettle to make tea.

Lack of a bar fridge in the room was about all we missed. Water took a long time to get hot, not really an issue from a traveler's perspective, but it seems wasteful to us coming from a low rainfall continent.

Twin room was more spacious than many similar hotels. We had plenty of room to spread out. Desk was handy for working and the wifi was strong. Windows on two sides was good to get air and breeze. Air conditioning in the room was a bonus. Friendly and helpful staff in a great location a few steps from the train station and at the edge of the Old town. Many sites are up the hill - but you won’t have to get your luggage up the steep streets.

Everything was positive for My stay

Outstanding staff, very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was super and a great value for the cost. Location was much better than we thought when looking at the map. Room was very clean and livable, and we probably should have stayed some extra nights, as the city was full of interesting things ( example was while walking around, we ran onto the graduation ceremony at the University.)

Nothing we didn't like. We liked it all on this visit!

The hotel is located right in the heart of Coimbra which is a very charming and beautiful city. The hotel has easy access to the train station and other transportations. It is also walk minutes from bars, restaurants and some of the main attractions that the city has to offer. The property is managed by family so they look to every little detail and make sure we are welcome and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious! I stayed for 5 days in this hotel and I loved it! I felt I was in home!

Honestly there were nothing I didn’t like about this place. The staff are very professional and friendly making sure you are comfortable. The rooms are cleaned every day by well professional staffs.
