The pousada was in an amazing historic building - there are modern touches to add to the comfort. The room was comfortable and has 2 sinks which was convenient. The breakfast was nice and we had mimosas. There are really nice spaces to relax and have a drink - special mention goes to the bar

There are steps and stairs everywhere so would advise bringing smaller luggage. The staff are always on hand to help with luggage which was great.

This was my and my wife’s first stay at a castle. At the first sight, the property was breathtaking and we felt like we were walking into a museum. This feeling of “magic” persisted throughout our stay, except for a few details. First, the property felt mismanaged. The spa never had an attendant and it seemed abandoned, even though the spa facilities had potential. The restaurant was also wanting a good manager. The breakfast food was great, but the dinner was less impressive and we had to wait to place the order for over 30 mins. Nonetheless, all in all, this was a great and unique experience.

Mismanaged

The property is like a museum. It is like staying in a castle with some modern amenities embedded. The design throughout very much stays true to its essence, which is impressive. The pool was beautiful and large. The rooms were spacious and so unique. And it was helpful to have a restaurant on site.

The spa felt lacking - the hot tub was luke warm and the steam and sauna rooms were not warm enough.

Very nice welcome with a champagne bottle in the room .The room was very pretty with an antique modern look. Breakfast was very good and with a nice variety to choose from. We also had our supper at the Mosteiro and it was five star. Staff was always friendly and helpfull.

The pillows on the bed were not very confortable. The TV was at an awakward place, so if had to be careful when you went to the bathroom not to hit the TV. There was a bit of confusion concerning the payments of the suppers as they have a different method of work but in the end all was well.

Everything was excellent. Very friendly staff, without overdoing it. Beautiful location and premises. Excellent breakfast and food (we spent Christmas Eve and the menu was excellent). Although in an old monastery, built in stone, it was very comfortable and cosy. The surroundings are also very beautiful and peaceful.

Minor detail - some modernization would be welcomed, especially for the room doors (and their very big and heavy keys).

Amazing interior of late 80' - 90' ies and medieval church combo is impressive ! Great breakfast and staff! A little bit of Illuminati and gohst vibe . You have to stay here!

Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant we're very good . We arrived early and restaurant was not open for lunch, only the pool bar.

While, it did not affect myself or my party. I felt the hotel should/could be made a little more wheelchair accessible, in particular the entrance. I believe this could be completed without disturbing easily the asethetic nature of such a beautiful and historic building.

All I expected and more. Booked for honeymoon, had a bottle of Prosecco and local patisserie in the room at no extra cost, 5 star staff, the hotel itself being an old Monastery and location makes it perfect for pretty much any occasion you can think off. Definitely will be booking again.

Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of foods. Our dinner there was okay, given its remote location and lack of other choices. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

I don't understand why there are so few hooks in a bathroom, given that there are towels that need to be hung up, and in this hotel, it was the same situation. A lot of blank wall, but no place to hang things!

It was a special experience- to stay in such an historic building. The rooms are very spacious , with a nice outdoor balcony, Also great facilities such as the pool, sauna and jacuzzi Lovely staff too. Very nice breakfast included.

There are some tricky steps to negotiate in and out of the main buildings !
