Our room was spacious and quiet. The food was very good.

The hotel decor is rather tired and the buffet restaurant is like a canteen.

Great hotel, beautiful views from the pool or from the jacuzzi. Staff very kind and attentive, comfortable beds, ask for a room on a higher floor with a sea view if possible. Food was just amazing from the breakfast, I'm smoked salmon lover and have been served delicious canapes every day :) it was so nice. Lunches and dinners also excellent including quality fish, prawns and steaks for meat lovers accompanied by proper bottled wines. I can't wait to visit you again

The lift to the beach was out of order, I hope it's only temporary and will be repaired soon as going there is quite far and uncomfortable, especially for older people I believe. In the meantime it would be nice if shuttle bus to the beach would be offered.

Nice hotel resort with many recreation faciliites. Clean and well maintained. Very nice personnel.

Breakfast and dinner buffet too crowdy (we never went for liunch). Remote location (but easy access by bus). Hotel offers free bus transfer to Funchal but only 2 times a day.

When I reserved , you has a shuttle to Funchal, and you run out the service without, notice, As well I get two vouchers for dinning in specific restauran, but I only use 1 because there ara not more available places.

I’ve been there in 2017 and Regency was the owner, not any changes, not modern property. the bed so inconfortable .

the buffet was really bad, no choices the leftovers are regularly recycled during 4 days. The soup cold. The main course cold also. Very disappointed for a 5 stars hotel.

Pool bar , pool .staff. cleanliness.

Shower over bath, old and difficult to adjust. Bath old and repaired, loose hand rail. Cramped and bun fight in reasturant no atmosphere. Limited choice of food. And same most mornings and evenings. .

The property was well located and clean. The all inclusive deal was excellent value for money.

There was no door to the bathroom which is just a little weird - it is open on one side to the bedroom - no privacy.

We really liked the location of the property, the friendly and helpful staff, the accommodating reception and managers especially Rosa and Henrique. Everyone made sure we were treated with care and attention during our stay. The restaurant staff and waiters were friendly. There were great hot drinks machines and the hotel was kept clean. My family and I are vegetarian and don’t eat egg, the restaurant catered to our requirements and with notice we had vegan cake, breakfast and meals when asked. The buffet was 10/10 for food choice with plenty of foods for every diet - even if we didn’t request specific food, there was plenty for us to choose from. Thank you

I think the only feedback I have would be that some of the rooms were dated particularly the bathrooms. When we arrived we were originally due to stay in an older part of the hotel where the bathroom was not upgraded. We hadn’t realised this from the hotel photos on the website however the management took on our feedback and upgraded us. We were told the hotel is in the process of being renovated over the year.

The property is well placed and I liked the way it stood out from afar. It looked like a Barbie’s house, which we loved. It also has the lift to beach, which was amazing. We loved the fact that we could try traditional Portuguese food. Our server at the main restaurant was absolutely amazing and it was great to see how much she enjoyed working there and how well she served and accommodated the guests.

We needed to request a room change because of a plumbing fault. It took more than 3 hours to sort out, which was disappointing. We also asked for bathrobes. It took about eight hours to deliver them.

Lovely hotel, good location, nice room and friendly staff. Nicely kept grounds and pool area. Good selection of food at the buffet most of which was hotter than has been our experience at other hotel buffets. Complimentary drinks upgrade due to having booked through booking.com was much appreciated.

The carpet in our room was looking somewhat worn as was the bathroom suite. I’m sure that Pestana will have a maintenance program in place to address this. The “juices” at breakfast were appalling and were a serious let down given the otherwise high standard of food and drink.
