The breakfast was good and the room that the staff moved us to was very nice

As always we had to ask for a room change as we looked out onto four air conditioner units and a pile of concrete. Whenever we book through booking.com we seem to end up in the worst room of the hotel although the hotels are usually very good at changing the rooms for us. We are supposed to be genus 2 level which we read somewhere entitles us to a room upgrade, free breakfast and discount on the rooms. We don't receive any of these so what benefit is genus 2 level to us?

Perfect mattresses, excellent breakfast.

No slippers in the room (in 4* hotel !!!) , in swimming pool caps for extra 10€, so take those two with you if you're going to use SPA. Quite noisy if room facing train/highway.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is 5 minutes walking to the city center, the room was spacious and clean and the furniture well maintained.

If I have to point out something, the WiFi was good on the ground floor but in my room (3rd floor) was spotty and I would often lose the signal.

Breakfast was well run and staff were good about clearing tables. Room was spacious and nice. Bathrooms clean and modern. Most of the staff quite friendly and nice.

Coffee at breakfast was horrible. Really could use a minor investment in better coffee. Coffee is the main part of breakfast for many people. Also, a few changes in the breakfast would be nice. I stayed almost a week and the breakfast was exactly the same every single day. The couch in the suite rooms was really unfit for sitting on. It was probably the most uncomfortable couch I have ever sat on. Most of the time I ended up sitting on a blanket on the floor! Also in the suite, there are two TV's and they respond to the same remote! Very annoying to turn on the TV in the living room area and have the bedroom turn on too. I had to unplug on of them. The paintings are rather disturbing.

Rooms are very clean. Towels and bed sheets are changed very day. The breakfast is great. Close to train station.

It's 10 min by foot to the centre and the bus station. I used the gym, the facilities are quite old.

It was very good value for money. A bit older hotel, but kept very well. Probably better than any modern hotel, as the room and the bathroom were both spacious and well organised. There was everything we needed plus the room service was great and the very good restaurant food surprisingly cheap.

My key kept demagnetising, but my husband's didn't, even when we switched keys, so it must have been something I was doing. The bed was a little harder than I would like, but it's a matter of preference. It was good quality nonetheless.

So quiet and clean place. Staff was helpful and nice with us.

The breakfast was same every day but you could find almost everything,

Reception staff are fantastic, really helpful and knowledgeable. Helped us slot with Covid testing, trains, taxis etc despite our embarrassing lack of Portuguese Rooms are really big and everything is clean. Great location to town and transport links Will definitely be going back

Nothing not to like. Lovely hotel, lovely staff, great location

Superb location, very welcoming staff. The breakfast was excellent and the beds hard but comfy. The shower was excellent and the bathroom was a good size. The rooms were well sound proofed as well and we enjoyed the use of the gym and pool.

The bedrooms were incredibly warm and difficult to cool.
