The room was lovely, very clean and perfect for us, we had a marina facing room which had a beautiful view. My partner had paid for flowers and prosecco as a surprise in the room and they did an absolutely stunning job with petals throughout the room, prosecco, chocolates and some beautiful roses. The breakfast was outstanding, there was a great selection of continental and a menu of hot breakfast items to order. location is also perfect, we didn't have to get a taxi anywhere once. The rooftop pool is great and I wish were were there when it was a little sunnier so we could sit up there and enjoy it more.

Having the toilet in only a glass box in the room was a little odd and I'm sure might be a bit uncomfortable for some people - we would have preferred a normal bathroom

I LOVED absolutely everything about this hotel, from the fashionable look of the hotel, through to the comfort of the room, friendliness of the staff, right down to the mouth wateringly tasty breakfast! Honestly staying here was the highlight of our trip to Portugal! It's a really stylish hotel with ambient music, lighting and decoration, the staff are super helpful, the food is INCREDIBLE (try the burger from the lunchtime menu!), the breakfast goes above and beyond (champagne, sirloin steak, french toast - you name it they've nailed it), the rooms are generously sized all with balconies, storage space, desks etc - really comfortable beds, extremely clean - cannot fault a thing. The pool is well maintained, clean and no one is allowed to reserve sun beds which means there are always beds available, the view is fantastic, you can people watch people crossing the harbour. The location is close to the old town, the marina, the bus station - anything you want is within close reach. I would return to this hotel everytime if I had the option. The extra money for this hotel vs. others is well justified and you're delivered that back in the quality that exceeds all expectations.

The only one thing that people may not like, but wasn't a problem for me, was that the toilet is separated by a walk-in glass unit which means noises are pretty clear, although the glass is frosted so still private.

Everything at Avenida Hotel was wonderful. Our room and the entire hotel was spotless. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The included breakfast was amazing, they had everything you could want. The views from our terrace were spectacular! Every single member of the staff was so friendly and helpful, the people at the reception desk, the staff in the restaurant and on the rooftop bar, and the housekeeping staff as well. We loved staying here.

I have no negative comments about this hotel or our stay here.

The staff was perfectly nice and friendly. The breakfast is very good. Nice dinning restaurant at the hotel. Nice rooftop pool.

The hotel has thin walls, which would be not so bad if it was for business people. Additionally, the housekeeping starts to clean rooms before 9am in the morning and as you could guess, it's quite loud and sleep disruptive. You can here it from the room above and next to you.

Loved the hotel except I wish the bathroom was redesigned to more private enclosed space. It was just too tight and not that private.

The design of the bathroom

The hotel was great, very friendly welcome from reception and the staff were all excellent. The rooftop pool was a lovely place to spend time reading a book and watching the various boats come and go. You can also enjoy beers/ cocktails at the poolside as they have a manned bar which was really enjoyable. The food at the bar was also excellent - especially the burger. With regards to the location - You are a short walk from the centre of the town and we thought this was great not to be in the busy streets and rather be nearer to the harbour where it's a bit quieter.

Nothing major to report - really enjoyed our stay.

beautiful breakfast selection and evening meal. staff extremely helpful. there were crisp white sheets changed regularly. great view over looking the marina.

stayed with my elderly mother. bathroom was open plan as you entered the room with frosted glass on toilet door only and not shower. net curtain separating bedroom and bathroom area. my mother was slightly shocked as offered limited privacy. NO HOOKS! could not hang bathrobes or towels in the bathroom area. roof terrace only open between 12 and 8 with nowhere else to sit outside. there is seating outside the restuarant but only open when serving food. would have been nice to go outside for a coffee as the roof area could be extremely windy and did t want to sit in reception area.

I don't like to "new" room arrangement lacking of separate bathroom - the sink is in the room , and you have a small toilette room and small bath.

The breakfast is excellent.
