The breakfast was fabulous. The gluten-free options were very much appreciated.

Parts of the hotel looked like they needed an update. The lobby area was well done.

Ideally, it is located right by the marina, so it is easy to get boat trips. This is also very close to both the train station and the bus station. Close to the old town and to lots of good restaurants. The shuttle bus to the hotels pool and restaurant on Duna Beach is a real highlight. The breakfast was very good. It was nice to get drink vouchers when we didn't use daily house cleaning. The outdoor pool space was very inviting, too.

The hotel shows it age badly. Basic repairs are needed, including exterior paint and window frame replacements. Our basic small room had nice bedding and finishings. However, it was impossible to shower without soaking the floor. Worse, our friend had reserved a large and expensive suite. Astonishingly, the smell of damp and mold was overwhelming, and the cleanliness of the rather cheap looking sofa was dubious.

Breakfast was quite complete with a lot of options. Because we stayed during the holiday season, the lights and Christmas decoration were really nice, making the hotel feel cozy, specially by the fireplace.

Most of the hotel is outdated, glass windows are really thin letting cold and sound go through. We had a room towards the parking and garbage containers and each time the garbage was collected we would wake up as the sound was very loud. Also, careful at the bar as one of the waiters always charges with tip (which is only complementary not mandatory) and if you pay with pin he turns the device downwards so that you don’t see it. This happened two times during our 4 day stay. We would have paid the tip but not being offered the option just doesn’t feel right or ethical.

The hotel is in a good vicinity close to the Marina and shops and restaurants. The Manager Annabel changed our room as the room allocated to us was not suitable because of steps. We were quickly offered another room which was a downgrade to what we had paid for but we had no complaints as we felt it was far superior. Annabel was charming and we were given a voucher for a free meal in hotel as no money could be refunded on the room.

The hotel not really suitable for people with walking difficulties as fairly steep walk up to reception and the road is all cobbled so not an easy walk. Plus we had paid for a superior room but it was not suitable as steps down into room, bathroom being at the top of the stairs.

The staff were really friendly from when we first arrived to when we left. The parking is great considering it's free. Parking any further into the old town can be a pain but there was always space at the hotel, and it was free. Everywhere was very clean but some parts (buildings around the pool and decking around the pool) could do with fresh paint.

Before booking it wasn't made clear that when you choose the double bed option, you're not booking a double bed, you're requesting one. Thankfully we got a double bed. The breakfast was also a bit lacking. We tried a bit of everything and the cooked food was very average quality batch made food that had gone soggy even if it had just been brought out. Baked goods were hit and miss. Some were stale, some were very fresh. The lunch/dinner food was expensive and very average. There's great food in lagos for a lot less money.

Good place to stay in Lagos , near to bus station and marina, boat tours and town center and cafes. It was very clean, decent breakfast, nothing to complain. Accommodation is good, has indoor bar and fire place to sit. Would have preferred better coffee instead of a machine brewed Nestle coffee. Tea selection was limited and had no option to get hot milk. Only cold milk was available.

It is an old hotel Sound proofing is required especially in night one could hear people opening hallway/passage way door. It was bit of disturbance during night sleep. Lift is at one level and have to lift the luggage through the stirs to reach to the room. Not sure how hotel expects for old people to lift the luggage through the stairs even though steps are not that many. Would have preferred a separate room or space for yoga with some yoga mats as the hotel calls it self a resort not a hotel. The Gym is good but does not have space to do yoga or stretching. One of the sauna was not working.

I really don’t understand all those bad comments. When I booked I was petrified where I’m gonna end up because of the reviews. Me and my 6 year old son had the best time in this hotel. He was extremely happy there. Yes it is outdated- did it ruin my holiday because of lack of paint? Absolutely not! We had a gorgeous room, pool was great. Don’t know why people are complaining about the size as they are not even in. My son learned how to swim in this pool ♥️ breakfast was super tasty. Loved the beach transfer (review says old bus- cmon it’s free and takes me from the hotel to the beach massive bonus) everything was nearby. Before we checked in they let us to use facilities so that was great as my son was enjoying the pool. I absolutely loved our stay we will be back.

The only bad thing is tax on the little bar next to the pool as they charge extra service like ice cream was €2.5 but with service is €2.79 so not so great as it’s an ice cream that child brings for himself so it’s not even like there is any service. CATLOTA at the reception super not nice, not friendly and it’s not just my opinion but others too that I met by the pool.

Loved the breakfasts, gym and multiple pools. The pool table was also fun.

We loved it all! The free shuttle to the resort could be told how close and easy it is to get to as we only went on the last day and wished we had known how easy and beautiful it was earlier.

Very comfy bed, liked the balcony with view of the trees, room very clean, nice hotel pool, breakfast fabulous with plenty of options, location was good within walking distance to Lagos town, lots of nice restaurants nearby. Beach shuttle and sun beds at the beach was a bonus. Great that they give you drink tokens in return for being eco conscious by not cleaning your room every single day.

Some parts of the hotel could do with updating, was disappointed in particular with the spa and indoor swimming pool, looked like it was last renovated in the 70s, so was put off using it. Didn't like that there's an additional cost for the coffee pods in the hotel room. You have to pay €15 to use the beach pool sun beds at the beach pool, as a hotel guest this would've been nice to have been included. Drinks very pricey at the beach pool bar. Parking limited outside and you were lucky if you got parking, and for the underground car park you have to pay an additional cost.

Central location. Traditional Portuguese decor in main building. Entertainment twice weekly.

My key unit was defective. I had to return to reception on 5 occasions to have key re-programmed. Quite a distance. IMy key card was not kept anywhere near my mobile phone as suggested by the receptionist. We had booked half board expecting the excellent dinner buffet. After 2 nights, this was discontinued and we had to choose from a set menu with limited choice. After my friend queried this, we were offered a choice from the Italian menu. My choice of swordfish disappointed as it was raw and my friend's' pizza was like a board. A big disappointment as we specifically wanted to have the buffet, as we did last time. I now wish we had booked breakfast only, as I plan to due on a future visit.
