The apartment was spacious and had amazing views from all of the windows and balconies, as well as being very close to the castle. Everything worked well. It was nice to have a washing machine. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. We found the walk to and from down town fine, and it’s easy to get a taxi or a tuk tuk if you don’t want to walk. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The area was busy during the day, but got quiet after 10 or so at night.

Firstly the staff at this hotel are very professional and friendly. Breakfast is a delicious buffet and there is an excellent menu for dinner. Or there are several places in the neighborhood to eat or have a drink. Although the front of the building gives the impression that it is a small hotel, the rooms are roomy, confortable and clean. The location is another plus.

We arrived early so we asked the front desk if we could check in and the lady promptly went to check if the room was ready and let us check in 3 hours early which was amazing. We also love the room, furniture, and the two large French windows overlooking the street. The bed was also super big and comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed our night staying at this hotel.

Could have been more clean. There was a lot of other guests’ hair stuck to the legs of the night tables and water came out while showering so it flooded the small bathroom and we had to clean that up but it was no big deal.

The Location is superb in Alfama. It is close to the airport. Feira da Ladra is a 10 minute walk. Praca do Comercio is a 20 minute walk as well as Baixa. There are plenty of restaurants nearby.It was very easy for me to walk everywhere in Lisbon without luggage.Free wi-fi. The bed is super comfortable with supersoft sheets and plenty of pillows. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very large and delicious with croissants and breads, yogurts, fresh fruit, 4 different juices, coffee, espresso, ham and prosciutto, cheese, eggs.....and all you care to eat!!! Make sure to choose the breakfast when you book your room!!! There is plenty of lighting in the room and plenty of outlets. It is easy and quick to get UBER rides. It is close to alot of historic landmarks and one of the best views of the city. The windows are airtight and lock out street sounds. I loved being able to open the window and see onto the street where a tram runs right in front of the place. There is airconditioning/heat. There is a kitchenette. There is a lovely shower that has a waterfall and rain shower and handheld option. The water gets hot very fast. I would stay here if I returned to LISBON!!!!

Particularly comfortable, wide bed. The room 4b was exceptionally quiet and air con was exxellent. Spacious room with good facilities. Good breakfast and helpful staff. Safe storage for luggage after vacating room. The location is brilliant with plenty of nice restaurants and cafes close by. Very convenient to visit the Castle.

The washing area is tinted glass and the wash basin area doesn't have any privacy. The shower cubicle is fine with an excellent shower but the toilet area is so small a larger oerson would struggle to get into the cubicle. No towel rails for bath towels. Could do with more hangers and space to hang clothes up. These were the only things we could find fault with.

Great location but best for more than an overnight stay. There is a small restaurant within the hotel that has a very nice menu. Its busy early. If you dine late they may be out of certain selections. Food prep, quality and taste are outstanding. Reasonably priced.

No parking even for drop off. Steep uphill climb and stairs to enter from street level. Makes it difficult to handle large suitcase. Small rooms.

We were met by a very friendly receptionist called Laura who even reserved a table at an excellent nearby restaurant on our evening arrival. We had a lovely apartment ( bedroom with en suite and shower also a livingroom with kitchen) all fresh and well equipt. Breakfast had a wide variety of choice and was very nice and well displayed. Location is in the heart of the Alfama and just below the castle, our apartment had a sea view over the roof tops.

Would like to suggest that the towels were changed every second day rather than keeping same towel. Kitchen staff could be more friendly. Also cleaning floors at breakfast is not very nice for the guests.

Nice area in Alfama and the hotel admin staff were very helpful. The room was a good size too & the continental breakfast did gave a good selection. Towels were not changed which was fine.

There were 2 coffee pods for the whole of our 5 day trip, one teabag, no milk. The room service....the used espresso cups got changed though had to ask for toilet paper which had been taken away and the room was not cleaned nor swept/hoovered at all during our stay nor the bathroom either. It didn't need doing everyday but perhaps at least once would have been good.

Everything was awesome there. Exceptionally creative design makes this hotel simply beautiful. Every room is named after a different Portuguese artist and arranged in an individual style. Not very spacious rooms yet very well thought through and practical. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, definitely making extra effort to ensure our stay would be very comfortable. Food in the restaurant at the ground floor great. Breakfast was a real treat. The view from windows and balconies bringing the best of Alfama. As we were staying there twice a week apart we were able to store some of our luggage there at no charge at all.

I loved most everything about the apartment we stayed at, the view, the decor, the comfortable beds, the quietness, the location etc. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the top floor with amazing views. There is an elevator but you still need to carry your suitcases up one flight of stairs, which might not be ideal for all. The apartment is in the old part of Lisbon and it’s only a few minutes walk to the Alfama neighbourhood (the Fado neighbourhood) which I highly recommend getting “lost” in for a long stroll. There is a nice, small restaurant downstairs run independent of the hotel . The hotel offers a breakfast there in the morning for 8 euros (if not already included). As we slept so well and long we skipped breakfast, so I can’t comment on how it is.

Nothing really. Just to name something I’m not a fan of glass walled bathrooms, which is the case with one of the two bathrooms (the other one is an en suite of one of the bedrooms). Even though you can’t see through the glass it doesn’t feel very private. At the same time I get that this is a solution that works with the space at hand in an old house. I also don’t like that ai forgot to take more photos to share!
