From our first website interaction to our final farewell on departure the level of communication with the hotel team was exceptional and a welcome change form other places we have stayed at. We arrived slightly earlier than predicted - this in the main was due to how easy and efficient, not to mention value for money, the Lisbon Metro is. The welcome we got from the reception team was very friendly, easy going and efficient. In fact every meeting with a member of the hotel team was a pleasure, from the lovely lady ensuring breakfast ran smoothly to all the team we met on reception at several points during the day. A special mention to the young lady who went out of her way to help us on the last day when our BA flights was cancelled and the BA App was less than efficient. A great hotel team, especially in a smaller hotel, is really important and this young team were exceptional. Also a special mention to the lovely Flavia. The hotel for us was ideally situated 10 mins walk from Baxia-Chiada Metro station, in an area with some great local restaurants and bars, being only 5 mins from the river front. The iconic 28 Tram runs 30 metres from the hotel door. The hotel was fully booked, 19 odd rooms, yet you hardly heard a sound from anywhere, so the sleep quality was superb. The charming courtyard, bijou swimming pool and library room were great areas to relax around and the breakfast buffet options were great and we wanted for nothing. All in all, this hotel was a great find and elevated our stay in Lisbon to another level
Not a thing.

We were received with love and attention! The best hotel reception I've ever had. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel has an informal attitude that makes it almost family-like. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. The bathroom is also well designed and offers everything you need with Rituals bathroom supplies. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of food an all of great quality. We even received a personal note from the staff when we left. I can recommend the hotel for 100% and hope to come back!
Hard to say anything negative. We had some issues with the light switches, but really a minor problem.

It’s very central located in Barrio Alto and was very convenient for me, also got an upgrade to an even nicer room with a balcony and a view over Lisbon. The staff is super friendly and always there if you need them. Breakfast is nice with a lot of different options. I really didn’t worry about anything at all.
It was clean but could have been a bit cleaner especially the bathroom and the walls are very thin I heard my neighbours or understood almost every word what they said while lying in bed and trying to get some sleep at 11:30pm. But this was just the first night, the second one was quiet.

My flight was delayed by an hour, but when I arrived at the hotel, Rafael was waiting for me with a delicious glass of red wine at the reception, and helped with my suitcase. The check-in process was fast and efficient. I was delighted to find myself in a comfortable room overlooking the courtyard with a beautiful view of the swimming pool and garden. The breakfast was outstanding, featuring a variety of local fruits, freshly squeezed juices, and all the offerings you’d expect from a high-quality boutique hotel. The shower facilities were excellent, and my room was spotless every single day. The bed was made impeccably, and each day I had a lovely handwritten note with tips on where to go, along with a different treat. One day, it was port wine; another day, delicious custard tarts; and on the last day, I was surprised with some delightful chocolates. The hotel provided mineral water daily, and the reception lobby offered fruit-infused water and tea, such thoughtful touches! The service was impeccable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Special thanks to Rafael, Roberta, Beatriz and Hassan! I extended my stay by one day and made a last minute booking via Booking.com. The team handled everything seamlessly without making me feel awkward. They even allowed me to stay in the same room, which was amazing. This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I loved Lisbon, and my stay here was a big part of that. I can’t wait to return. Highly recommended! Fantastic customer Service, service was great!
Nothing, everything was great!

Great location for walking around the town and exploring. A real gem in a busy place. Like stepping into another world away from the vibrant buzz of the streets. Wonderfully welcoming staff. A beautifully furnished quirky hotel. Done with great thought & imagination. The outside courtyard and small pool are delightful. Very restful and relaxing. The room was lovely with a welcoming bottle of Port and very comfy bed. Beautiful original tiles on the bathroom floor. So many nice touches. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and within a very reasonable time frame of 8 to 10. We loved it.
Not being able to make a cup of tea, first thing, in the room. Breakfast was good though, where we could make as many cups as we liked. We certainly didn't like having to leave.

Great location, amazing staff and just a generally lovely stay! We had a top floor room with balcony as booked - really comfortable bed and nice to see over the colourful rooftops with a coffee each morning! Breakfast was great value considering it’s included in the price and the staff always went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. Would stay again and recommend to friends!
Only two small things - would have loved a full length mirror inside the room (only mirror was in the bathroom so couldn’t use when someone is using the bathroom) and slightly bigger robes (my partner is 6’4 and it was comical watching him put it on 😂)

The hotel is conveniently located next to the tram 28 stop (a 3-minute walk) and the ferry/metro/train station (a 10-minute walk), making it easy to explore the city. The staff is helpful and able to provide recommendations, and they are more than happy to assist with bookings, ensuring we made the most of our vacation. In the bathroom, we were delighted to find my favorite soap and shampoo from Rituals, and we were provided with extra towels for the swimming pool, which, although small, was enjoyable. In conclusion, the decor was charming, the beds were comfortable, and the ambiance was inviting, but it was truly the exceptional staff that turned our vacation into an unforgettable experience.
In our room, there was some noise coming from a water pump due to the age of the building. Upon mentioning this, the staff promptly made adjustments to reduce the noise. While my travel companions didn't mind, it was initially bothersome to me. However, after informing the staff, it ceased to be an issue. Overall, our room was clean and peaceful.

Staff so friendly and helpful. Tomas welcomed us on our first night and was able to give us excellent recommendations for our week - tourist attractions and places to eat. Gorgeous buffet breakfast, kept us full for all our wandering during the day. Beds very comfy, room clean and tidy. Turn down service every night and some added extras were a lovely touch. Outside, this hotel is on the Tram 28 line, and walking distance (uphill!) to Praça Luís de Camões. Great restaurants and Pasteliers all locally. They also have Rituals products in the bathrooms which are lovely to use. Would recommend anyone to stay here if visiting Lisbon, thank you for a great stay.
Air con unit not working during our stay, this was fine as it was in March, so the open windows and shutters worked well.

Staff is exceptionally well trained, welcoming, friendly, catering. The atmosphere of the building, inner courtyard, rooms, breakfast room... is lovely. We had a special occasion to celebrate and the staff made sure we had the best experience (we loved our room selection with a view of the inner courtyard, found a handwritten congratulatory note and cake in our room upon checkin, were offered a complementary glass...). The beds were good and we slept solid: quite firm mattrass which we enjoy, bedding and pillows were nice and fluffy. The breakfast buffet is enjoyable and offers enough options (same each day), but we'd recommend going for breakfast as there are a lot of cute breakfast places in the environment. We had an exceptionally pleasant stay here, and would warmly recommend the hotel to anyone!
The building is a former city house turned into a hotel, this can be noticed in the absence of noise cancellation. You can hear the neighbours cough, the upstairs guests walk around, open doors etc. This didn't bother us so much, since during our stay all guests were quite respectful during the night and keeping calm in the corridors. A tiny remark on an otherwise impeccably clean room: The shower could use a bit of attention - there starts to be black mould buildup in the nooks & crannies, as well as some pink buildup from soap. Nothing that can't be fixed with some deep-cleaning by the housekeeping staff :-)

Really lovely hote in a cool neighborhood l with very friendly and helpful staff. The bedroom we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the courtyard which was also a peaceful spot to relax in later in the day. I also loved cooling down by having a dip in the pool!
The location is a bit tricky as although it is on the tram line, we found that they were usually full and so hard to get on/very hot and cramped once on (though we warned about the nature of the team by hotel staff so this was not a surprise to us!). A metro is also not nearby.
