Beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean- friendly staff and central location

The only drawback was the showers- ice cold or boiling!

I loved the location. It was a good walking distance to most things you want to see in Lisbon. although I didn’t use the pool, I liked having the option to use one. the staff were really nice too and helpful.

I ended up booking a private bedroom with my own bathroom for 3 nights, which costed 450 euro. I wouldn’t have minded paying this much money until I learned that night that my room was placed on the main floor and close to the common area where everyone hangs out after the hostels bar closes. it was very noisy outside of my room! I don’t mind the noise (especially in a hostel), but when I pay a premium price for a private bathroom and bedroom, I would have expected to get a room that was farther away from the noise

I thoroughly enjoyed my three night stay in one of the 6 bed female dormitories. I loved the shared bathroom area in the middle of the two 6 bedrooms. There’s plenty of space to get ready, full mirrors, great hairdryer and the showers were very clean with good quality toiletries. The whole atmosphere of the hostel made it feel like a chilled out hotel/medina. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. A great location that is a ten minute walk from Time Out Market and Cais do Sodré. There’s plenty of quirky little restaurants and bars in the area. I will definitely stay here again.

To sum it all up: Selina was incredible for a female solo traveller… it was in a great location close to the metro/train and numerous bus stops, with a lovely blend of sociable (due to reputation/pool/bar areas) and relaxing due to quiet times. I was recommended it and it is also lisbons’ top 10 hostels for solo female travellers, and it certainly lived up to it - there were always friendly people around the hang out with. The place was really clean and there are curtains in each bed with allows some privacy even in a shared dorm. Perhaps I was lucky with the other guests in our dorm but everyone was very respectful! It is a little walk away from the really bustling streets of Lisbon’s centre but I preferred this as it was much more peaceful at night, plus there were so many cute brunch places and bars in close vicinity. Overall 10/10 would recommend and visit again!!

Sometimes the hot water didn’t work and the rooftop bar was closed which was a shame, but hopefully when it is open this whole venue will be unstoppable!! :)

Nice atmosphere, loved the design and garden.

Well, the disappointment was that the rooftop bar was not open, and we didn’t know about that until we got there. Our room didn’t have an air conditioning, only a fan that was very loud. So we had a hard time sleeping. The staff in the bar/restaurant were a little too eager to get home, so they turned off the music about one hour before closing, and closed earlier than we were told the bar would be open. I know it’s a hostel, but we booked a private room that was not cheaper than a 4 star hotel. So we were expecting a little more:/

This place is really unique and created with so much love and creativity!! Amazing plants everywhere, it feels like an urban jungle! The rooms are really cute and comfortable and the shared bathrooms were probably the cleanest and most convenient I ever experienced in a hostel. Great breakfast! The best spot is the amazing rooftop bar. It's located perfectly to explore the city by foot since everything is really close. Would totally go there again!!!

Comfortable accommodation, courteous staff, nice restaurant, and very cool decor in common areas as well as the room. Excellent location, walkable to most main attractions within minutes.

The cleanliness could be taken a notch up. Even though rooms were cleaned regularly, didn't feel like the quality of cleaning was up to par. The floors for instance did not seem clean even after the cleaning. Towel service was inconsistent. One of the days I was given just one face towel.

I got locked inside my bathroom!! Saw the funny side of it but it could've been really embarrassing. Took 2 staff members to help me get out. Basically If you stand still too long in there the doors lock and you can't get out! If you're on your own and have left the phone in the bedroom then you are doomed! It did happen a second time but thankfully I kept the door wedged open with a shoe this time so was saved 😄

I stayed in a private room, very cozy and comfortable. The bed was great! Location was excellent, just a few steps away from the tram stop. Loved the food and the staff was extremely friendly and kind. I would definitely be back! The rooftop and the pool are definitely a must visit for the summer!

The room was not super clean, little details caught my attention (towels and the bathroom were a bit dirty, there were some stains on the blanket), and i would have appreciated another dining option when the kitchen was closed (Monday and Tuesday). The shared kitchen is also not very well equipped.

Very cool rooftop bar space. Excellent location, all the best places in Lisbon are walkable, and close to the station for daytrips. Close to green street and lots of very nice cafes, restaurants and bars.

Very limited crockery and kitchen equipment in general. When we were there there was only one bowl, no mugs/cups only tiny espresso cups and lots of tiny saucers for the espresso mugs but few big plates. Would recommend bringing a travel mug especially if you're british and need a regular cuppa!
