The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the antique furniture very much and the bedroom was very clean with nice bedding and towels. We asked to be moved to a different room with more light and a street view and this was readily accommodated. There is a very simple kitchen area where you can keep things cool. There is a simplicity and honesty about this place. It is very close to the metro and tram 28 so was great for getting around,

The entrance and stair leading to the accommodation is off putting and would benefit from modernisation. The bathrooms would benefit from modernising but there was plenty of hot water.

Very close to the city center, nightlife, the famous 28 tram, etc. and lots of supermarkets and restaurants opening late nearby. We got free parking and amazing recommendations for our trip from the place's owner. We were a bit surprised when we arrived, the place was more like a mini hostel with multiple rooms and a common area. Staffs were very nice and friendly!

I felt a bit insecure about the bedroom's door as it didn't close completely (left a tiny gap) even though people can't see in from outside it still feels a bit weird. Laundry was 7€ per wash and I thought it was quite expensive.

Beautiful, lovingly cared for, high quality antiques in the rooms and in reception. An absolutely marvellous manager, Barbara, who works from dawn until dusk to keep everything spotlessly clean and welcoming. Barbara is intelligent, educated and also very helpful to guests and she tries her very best to make everyone happy. For example upon my early arrival I was allowed access to my room and on my final day I was also allowed to leave my luggage in my room long after the check-out time so that I could enjoy my last day in Lisbon before my evening flight. Such help is exceptional. The only reason I did not give 10/10 is that the bathrooms are shared (as is the case in most old buildings in Lisbon and as I had been made fully aware of before I booked). Barbara was particularly keen to ensure that all bathrooms are kept clean throughout the day and she is meticulous in her care for the property.

I wish that my stay could have been longer!

Though difficult to find, look for green door, the family style accommodation completely suited our needs. Not having mobile data made it a little difficult in our part to keep in contact. Barbara, the host was perfect in every way, explaining all the nuances of the accommodation includings ways to be considerate of other guests. Shared bathroom (two showers/toilets) on our floor with absolutely no issue with use/availability. Shared kitchen and outdoor area (we had no use for either) and ample parking below. A relaxing walk in to centre of Lisbon. Wonderful restaurants nearby along with bars and a laundromat.

Room needs to be darkened from light streaming in from hallway. Not a major concern but I think it worth mentioning. For my husband and I, the double bed was very comfortable but a queen size would have been preferred.

We looked at so many boring modern apartments online then came across this one. We loved the apartment with it’s quirky authentic Portuguese charm. It is like stepping back in time, the furniture and decor are all antique and really interesting. There are 2 shared bathrooms and kitchen. Tea and coffee are provided. There’s a huge garage under the apartment for free parking. It’s ideally situated, a 20 min walk down to the main attractions or 5 minutes on the number 28 tram which stops just around the corner. The man who greeted us was super friendly and gave us plenty of advice of where to eat and what transport to use.

The bed was on the hard side and it would have benefitted from curtains on the opaque glass panels of the bedroom and bathroom doors. Outside the street scene is a bit unkempt.

Antonio is the reason to stay here. This cherub of a gentleman is the owner of this edifice of Lisbon history. Our room wasn't ready yet because we arrived early - and because Antonio is a wonderful person - he gave us another alternative that was ready - a whole apartment upstairs. This will not be reflected in the room category of this review. He also gave us a tour of his warehouse full of vintage historic furniture. If you are into history, this is the place. Was this apartment a modern , updated , sterile corporate hotel room ... No. but it has - a full bright, well stocked kitchen leading to - a covered terrace balcony which had - a breakfast table for 2. - a big room, tall ceilings and - vintage mirrors - a big comfortable bed - hot shower - in a great neighborhood ( Asian / Indian restaurants ) - at a great price

well, i liked everthing. but don't stay here if you need perfect order and uniformity in your life and an elevator. it's an old old building. it's authentic and charming and still in constant care and repair. I don't know about the main rooms because Antonio generously upgraded us to this apartment that is still in a process of renovation ... so the "charm" included some paint stains in the bathroom and other little esthetic blurs.

If you want to use antique furniture from previous centuries, feel spirit of past Portugal nobility - you should come here. Its simple and gorgeous. The owner was very kind, showed us his many more furnitures that are under renovation, told about his plans, man in love with history and nice things! Also we were allowed freely leave luggage till evening and pick it up once we wanted before flight. Area is nice, there are few local places nearby + subway station in 4 min.

Good location easy to access metro. Room had lovely windows that opened various ways and had shutters to completely block our light for sleeping. 2 shared bathrooms available and now waiting. Always kept clean and you can tell staff made a point of going in after you used it to make it clean for the next person. Antonio and his staff really friendly and helpful and accommodating.

The building manager was really friendly and helpful. She gives a thorough, welcoming induction to guests which helps make sure shared facilities - like the kitchen and bathroom - are kept clean and tidy. The building is old, which has its challenges - but also its charm. I stayed for four nights and would be happy to do so again.

Very friendly and efficient Management. Very knowledgeable of Lisbon. Place was clean and tidy. Our room was furnished with beautiful antique wooden furniture. Comfortable bed. Metro station is located close to the accommodation. We came home after 10pm - we never felt unsafe in the neighborhood.

We do not have any complaints.
