This Hostel has the most perfect location! On top of the train station that takes one to Belém and Cascais, a 15 to 20-minute walk to Castelo de São Jorge, 3-minute walk to the Time Out Market and other great food options. We stayed for 3 nights in a private room with private bathroom, which was impeccable clean. Our bed was even made every day, which we did not expect.

The only problem we had was that our room had its window (kind of antique-like, fitting to the aura of the train station but also with a few milimetre gap that wouldn’t let it close all the way) turned to the rooftop bar, which was pretty loud after 10pm. We are the kind of travelers that wake up at 6 am and are in bed by 10pm, so it took us some getting used to the noise - and ear plugs after the second night.

I had the privilege of staying at Destinatin Sunset Hostel in Portugal and it was an unforgettable experience. The building itself is stunning and very inviting. Depending on the category, the rooms are very well maintained and furnished. – I was particularly impressed by the friendliness, cleanliness and the well-kept flowers throughout the hostel!! The service was also first class. Thank you dear Vincente, a better compliment for your warmth and care. Another plus point: The hostel is right in the heart of the action, everything your heart desires can be easily reached on foot! The WiFi worked great! - I will definitely come again. I can highly recommend it!

clothes cock would be great in the room

The property itself is amazing. Love that it's built into the train station, gives it a ton of character. All of the staff were great but especially Pedro, Zoe, Asma, Vincent, Maria and Sam the bartender. I was travelling solo and they made me feel welcome immediately. The rooms were mopped everyday and bathrooms cleaned often. Kitchen is very well supplied and the rooftop bar is great. The Irish pub a 3 minute walk away has better Guinness than half of Belfast.

Disappointed that the pool wasn't open as that's one of the main reasons I chose the place. The WhatsApp group could be utilised a little better for guest information, parties/group activities etc, but staff were always helpful with information at reception.

When checking in, I booked an extra two nights because I was flying from Lisbon. The girl who checked me in was wonderful and explained everything, gave the codes to enter, explained where everything was. The colleague I met the day after check in Ramon, I have nothing but praise for him. He explained to me how to get to the Christ the King monument, how to buy a ticket for the ferry, what else to visit besides the monument when I'm already on that side of the river... Simply a person who loves his job and tries his best to help everyone. I was in a room at the very end of the hostel, the room was peaceful and quiet and had its own bathroom. The room, as well as the bathroom, was extremely clean. The room and the bathroom were cleaned twice a day by the girls who maintain hygiene. The hostel is in a central location, at a maximum of 2 minutes from everything you need. It has a pool, a terrace, a kitchen... Everything you could need. I will gladly come back.

The staff was absolutely lovely and really participates in the great atmosphere that can be found in this hostel. I found it really cute that my arrival had been prepared, with a little card with my name on it and my personal code to access the hostel and the dorm. The rooms are very big so everybody had enough space to be comfortable and not bother anyone else. The rooftop is a nice addition to the spot. The location is perfect, really easy to get to, and you can walk to the main spots quite easily (not taking into account the fact that Lisbon is basically a bunch of hills and therefore it can get tiring quickly, haha)! Both nights there were little street concerts on the little square facing the hostel and that was really lovely! It was my first time solo travelling and staying in a hostel, and let me tell you I will definitely go back to this one whenever I return to Lisbon!

The bed, and mostly the pillow, were not the most comfy, but to be honest I do have back problems so that might be just a me issue. It is indeed quite noisy as many comments already mentioned, so beware and get your earplugs ready if you are a light sleeper. I personally didn't get bothered at all but another girl in the room with me did find it really hard to get some sleep. No other problems!

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgable staff. Comfortable double matresses. I saw no insects of any kind, anywhere in the building. It is clean. There is a nice rooftop bar and a small swimming pool, more like a hot tub but cool and comfortable on a hot afternoon. They allow non residents into the bar but Confrotational, argumentative drama Kings and Queens will be escorted out of the building. They are quckly, quietly and efficiently removed. It is a bar in a party town area. There is a quiet co working room which I enjoyed using several times. There is plenty of night life on the roof or in the neighborhood. If you want that, then it is good. If youre social you can find someone to hang out and talk with them. If you're a light sleeper, maybe not so good. I found it acceptable. Not much Air Con that i found anywhere. Bathrooms stay damp much of the dsy and floors are often wet. I adjusted my schedule to have a fresh room and shower. Bring surf shoes. I want to stay here again. I'm 66y.o. and I enjoyed the polite company of all ages present. I am primarily English speaking, working at learning Português. A conversation with a person who primarily speaks Arabic is challenging but I am up for it. This hostel is in a hundred year old Art Deco Building. Genuine tiny details include the filigree and finials on the door hinges. The Cais do Sodré grand entrance is also part of the hostel. See pictires

Wet bathroom floors. Surf shoes work. 3/4 bathrooms so. Tiny you literally spin in them because no steps are required...or possible. So just be patient, slow your roll and be Português about it. The rooms are cleaned multiple times per day.

We have (reluctantly) got a private room in the hostel and it has far exceeded our expectations. The room had all necessary utilities (bathroom to TV/fridge/safe), was very clean and was locked with a digital code (happy not to carry keys with us all around the city). The staff was absolutely great and so friendly (cheers to Ramon and Vincente). We were also pleasantly surprised about the terrace-bar with the view to the estuary, the location in the historic train station building and the decent (for a hostel) breakfast. We must admit that even though we have chosen the place just because it was close to the city center, it was a good choice and partially changed preconceptions about such accommodations. Happy to head here again!

The only thing thing to consider is one's sensitivity to noise as both the train station (during early morning) and some guests (during night) might generate them.

The daily and weekly events at the hostel held on the rooftop was awesome. Really nice during sunset as you get a view of the water. If you are unsure what to do in Lisbon there is a lot of information provided at the hostel to help and tours available too. Sintra tour was highlight of the week- Manuel is a legend!

If you are a light sleeper, don’t recommend this hostel. Our room was in a pretty bad spot. We couldn’t get to sleep most nights because of the noise coming from the streets. We had to keep the window open also because no AC or fan , so there wasn’t air flow. Also walls are thin so you can hear people walking outside the room and talking to others.

I loved the vibe of the hostel, amazing team that works there makes it easy to enjoy a fun and outgoing trip! The events hosted by the hostel were fun, wild and chill depending on what you are into. Very open, with many solo travellers that makes it comfortable and amazing to travel on your own or with a mate there. Would recommend it to anyone travelling on there own looking for either a relaxing time sunbathing and meeting new people or for a party vibe. Plenty of space for both!

Honestly not a lot to critique, i guess the breakfeast could have had a vegan option, but that was easy to find in local restaurants near the hostel.
