Excellent breakfast.

The place was very nice, but they have cats all over the property both inside and outside. It appeared that they did not go into the rooms but roamed elsewhere throughout the property. Our friend has a severe cat allergy and was very stuffed up in the morning.

Perched on the top of the a hill overlooking Regua's bridges, this cozy guesthouse feels secluded and at the same time is only a quick drive or walk to several sights and restaurants in the city. The staff were friendly and eager to recommend activities. The room was a good size and contained a nice shaded balcony, in the event you wanted to hide from the sun. Those who want to swim or lay out in the sun can enjoy the pool. WiFi was strong and fast. Breakfast had a variety of options and an array of fresh juices. We rented a car, but the property does offer transfers should you take the train there. We will be back!

We stayed in a wonderful room outside the main house with a terrace overlooking the pool and gardens and the beautiful terraced landscape on the other side of the river. The host was warm and welcoming as he showed us around the property. The breakfast was made to order along with selections of breads, fruits and cereals. They also catered to a gluten free diet. The hotel was close to town so if you wanted you could walk there. All in all, a lovely, comfortable hotel that we wished we could have stayed longer at

The breakfast offered was delicious, pastries/bread, delicious cheeses, variety of fruit juices, egg omelettes. The view from our bedroom door was unreal and the pool was relaxing. The hotel is only a 15-min walk from the train station and there is a shortcut path that is even faster. It is a steep uphill but very doable. There were many restaurants in town to eat at, the host was able to give us some great recommendations. The Douro Museum was also a fun place to visit.

Best B&B I've ever stayed. This old house has been perfectly maintained and redesigned to fit a handful of guest rooms. Walking in represented felt like time travel and an amazing experience to the senses. Breakfast had a lot of options and wi-fi was superb. Was worried about this as I stayed at this place for 5 days while working remote, but connection was above expectations with an average speed of 250mbps. Staff was also very friendly and helpful when it came to recommendations for wineries and restaurants. Location was great too because the town was 5 minute drive away which was very convenient if not wanting to drive much for restaurant options in the evening.

Being close to town means its not as quiet as being in the middle of nowhere like other accommodations in the area may offer but was OK for us. I would recommend use this accommodation to visit the wineries in the area and maybe move to a accommodation in Pinhao area to visit the ones in that area to avoid driving ~40 mins each way to Pinhao.

The property is a lovely old house full of lovely things. The room was very comfortable and the whole place was very clean. The pool was excellent and there was a jacuzzi too. The young woman who welcomed us was friendly and helpful and allowed us an early check-in. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices. It made a great base to explore the Douro and I'd advise anyone to give it a try.

- Location is walkable from train station and the nearby restaurants/bars. - Beautiful property, all around, with great views. - Friendly staff. - Good breakfast. - Comfy enough bed. - Huge double shower.

- Imperfect ventilation or plumbing in the bathroom; some stinkiness remained. And from I remember, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, as is common in Europe. - If you are thinking of walking up from the train station, note that it's an uphill walk; perhaps not advised for suitcases. (I.e., nothing too terrible.)

Lovely property overlooking Peso da Regua. The room was spacious and overlooked the swimming pool. The staff were very welcoming as was the glass of port offered on arrival. Short walk to group of restaurants in front of train station.

It was like a mini-oasis. We loved the pool and the honesty bar, the cat friends, the lovely garden, and the view from our room. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and we got a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was adequate, and we enjoyed the fresh fruit and eggs.

We didn’t really see many staff members/hosts. Our check-in was early, which we really appreciated, but it seemed very rushed, kind of as if we were an inconvenience to the man who checked us in.

The property was beautiful and a wonderful location. It was conveniently located for exploring the Douro Valley, and Regua had a nice selection of restaurants. Manuel was extremely helpful with all of our needs and made great recommendations during our stay. The breakfast was very nice every morning. Also, the room had a nice air conditioner which was nice.
