very good staff and rooms design, perfect breakfast.

We had a balcony, but it was dirty and has no any chair or table: so, totally unusable and it is very strange… Shampoo and gel seems were combined with water, so almost not usable or you need to spell more. No kettle, so in 4 stars hotel you can’t make a tea or coffee… very strange. anyway, it’s good hotel and I can advise. only a few points to be improved and will be amazing.

Breakfast was adequate but not as good as other hotels we have stayed at. The menu for lunch/evening was ok but lacked choice overall. Staff in the restaurant and bar were friendly, helpful and attentive, particularly Alexander who could not do enough for us. The bar was well stocked with all our favourite drinks. Our room was immaculate, comfortable and quiet. Good room size and balcony looking out over east Porto. The hotel was within walking distance of the centre of Porto (about 30 mins), good restaurants were available within 1km (15 min walk) and one of Porto's main train stations (Campanha) within a 5 min walk which was great for our trip from Lisbon to Porto and other sightseeing trips to Braga and Guimaraes. The nearest Porto metro station, Heroismo, is a few minutes walk from the hotel. For those who don't want to walk there is a taxi call point in reception. The hotel arranged our final taxi trip to the airport which was good value for money. There is a little park within a 10 min walk (Aguas do Porto) full of trees and interesting fountains and a great view over the Douro. The 207 bus stops almost outside the hotel and can take you into central Porto or as far as Foz.

The area around the hotel appeared to be shabby at first sight but we soon realised that this was not untypical of much of central Porto. We did feel safe, however, walking to and from the hotel.

Superb comfortable hotel, close to one of main rail stations and 2 of metro stops. Extrarordinary vslue.

It is quite a walk from centre of Porto but you can take bus or tram. We love to walk so it did not worry us.

Very new and clean hotel. Even though it's a bit away from the old town (5 mins walking distance to the nearby metro station, and just 3 stops from the old town central), it's rather quiet during the nights. Breakfast is fine, small and sweet, the kitchen does a good job!

Check your nationality before you sign for check-in, I didn't expect this kind of bully is also happening in the hotels in Porto...Some of the countries will be categorized as the province of other countries...

We arrived having booked two rooms for myself and my wife, the other room for my wife's brother, whom we were visiting for the first time in five years that he had lived in Portugal. He could not make it due to his concern over the fires that were raging in close proximity to his house. Both staff members who were on reception (Joanne) were sympathetic and said they would see if we could cancel his room without charge due to the situation . The manager duly agreed and waivered the charge. We also had a room upgraded due to my room request being unavailable. We were very grateful, and the room was superb. Breakfast was fabulous, lots to choose from. We had dinner on our second night, which again was superb. All staff were always smiling and asking if everything was alright with our stay. Check in and out a breeze. Would definitely stay again if I visit Porto.

One thing was the time it took to get a drink at the bar as the staff member seemed to be covering the dining room as well, which made it busier for him. Small issue, but he was pleasant and attentive when serving my drinks.

- Friendly staff who are very pleasant and always happy to help - The rooms are huge! Modern decor and very comfortable especially the pillows, great lighting as well in the rooms with lots of storage options - The surroundings are quiet and peaceful yet doesn’t feel unsafe - Not in Porto city center but good transport links with a bus stop right outside that takes you straight to the main area

- There was hair on the bedsheets on my day of arrival which makes me question if the sheets were even changed between stays - AC turns off when the card is taken out and is quite weak so it takes very long to cool down the room especially if you’ve been out the whole day - Rooms are not soundproof - No kettle

The hotel location is very good, just a few minutes by walk from a metro station which takes you to the center in just about 10 minutes & the train station is located at the same place so you can get easily to other places in Portugal (we took the train to Lisbon from that station). The breakfast was good enough and all the staff at the hotel are very kind and helpful. There are some nice shops and restaurants near the hotel & generally it's a very quiet place. The room was big enough & the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has also a very nice bar & generally looks very new and clean.

The gym is very simple and has very limited variety of equipment.

- clean room - BIG (i mean really BIG) and comfortable beds ! - combination of soft AND hard pillows, so every person can get what they need :) - helpfull and kind stuff - good location, 5 mins of walking from Campanha train / bus station and 5 mins from Metro station (from there 5 mins to center of Porto) - noise insulation is decent or above average - amazing, classy designed bathroom ! - good shower preassure & temperature of water - good drainage, big - spacious shower area - air temperature command is easy to use and enough variety - street is not too busy so you can have your own peace - breakfast has enough choices for couple of days, and it's quite tasty :) - TV (if you need / want it), has sooo many different channels in european languages - room is big enough and spacious for couple of days easily

- check-in could be available at 13:00 instead of 14:00 (not a deal-breaker) - anti theft cloth-hangers (my personal disliking opinion) - open-space wardrobe (again my personal disliking opinion) - location is not "central central", but you are couple of mins away from metro station and from there 5 mins to the center (not a big problem at all)

Seemed to be in a questionable area but once inside it was just lovely. Rooms massive with space to open 2 large suitcases. Bathroom had a massive rain head shower & was spotless, with all the beautiful chrome polished… credit to the housekeeping staff.

The dining area was way too small for the number of guests. Breakfast was a bit of a battle with big queues of people lined up for coffee & food . We went for dinner one night and one poor staff member.. Pedro was managing a busy dining area and a packed bar on his own.. he deserved a medal as he was literally running from dining area to bar .

Room size was great. It was cosy and really clean with comfortable beds. The air-conditioning was also good (not too strong and adjustable). There was no noise which would disturb us and the Eurosport was really nice to have to watch the Olympics. The everyday cleaning was a plus. The breakfast was really nice and staff were professional, helpful and really good at their job.

The only issue we had was the design of the shower screen/room which would allow water splash out excessively and make the bathroom floor wet. The everyday cleaning helped of course but the wetness was not pleasant.
