The view from our hotel was stunning all by itself. The facilities at the hotel were a major highlight.: indoor pool, hot-tub, infinity pool on the rooftop and a natural rockpool at the foot of the hotel. For the most part, we had these to ourselves! These things made first time in Madeira even better. Staff were very friendly, very helpful and ensured our stay was enjoyable. The breakfast was another plus point. Me and my nephews enjoyed the variety and quality of the food. The view during breakfast was beautiful too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quieter spot in Madeira. Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed in, for a while. We got it for a great price too!

Not a negative, but maybe room for improvement. Due to our schedule in Madeira, we couldn't have breakfast at the hotel for 2 mornings, which meant we had lunch bags packed for us. We requested vegetarian sandwiches for the day we hiked to Pico De Ruivo and we got bread with just lettuce and tomatoes as a filling. We were left hungry after the hike. I did inform staff and got cheese the following time. This isn't a big thing, as staff acted on the request for next time. Maybe more food in the bags?

The room is very spacious and well decorated. It has an amazing view over the sea and the mountains. There is coffee and tea available in the room and everyday we get a complimentary chocolate. :) Breakfast is very complete with a good variety of gluten and lactose free products. The restaurant area is very pleasant, with a nice view and lots of light. We had dinner at the hotel and although the food was good and well prepared, the service was very, very slow - the staff was really struggling, as there seemed to be not enough waiters considering the number of tables, both inside and outside, on the terrace. Definitely one of the perks was the outside pool in the rooftop!! Such a breathtaking 360 view! The spa is comfortable and peaceful. Very nice treatment too, quite professional. All in all, it was a very positive experience. Recommended!

Beakfast was pretty good and rich. The hotel was very good value for the money, and it is just in front of the sea pools. The staff were all very nice.

the swimming pool is infested with chlorine, to a disgusting, and I will claim unhealthy levels of pH and Chlor. The smell will stick to your body and hair forever. Avoid the swiimming pool, you have the sea pools in front :-)

We decided to spend here our 10th wedding anniversary and that was good decision. The room was clean and very nice, we are thankful for nice decoration and small gift before last night. Breakfast was delicious and with nice view at the ocean. We loved the variety and quality of food and fresh orange juice. Staff was very friendly and thank you very much for your kindness when our flight was delayed 1 day... We loved also indoor swimming pool and saunas. We definitely recommend this place!

Outside swimming pool at the top of the hotel was very cold but with heated pool inside that was not a problem ;)

Welcoming and friendly staff, good location with amazing views, great variety for breakfast, fresh juice and a bottle of blue sparkling wine in regards my b-day celebration. Thank you! Life musician in the lobby bar during the evening. Nice outdoor pool on the roof with spectacular ocean view. Rooms are modern and clean.

Spa. You should book in advance you visit to sauna and steam room. Anyway we found them in a poor working order: sauna was too hot and there was a smell of melted plastic, steam room was out of order completely. Jacuzzi looks modern, however you will not get that benefits which you expected to get because of bubbles pressure so low. Pool is quite small. You can not swim.

We stayed at Aqua Bay for three nights. The room with balcony was ok in size, had an additional couch, small fridge. Lobby nice in design. Breakfast was very good (inviting terrace, too). Well located in Porto Moniz despite the fact there is not much to do or see (despite the Aquarium and the Natural Pools).

For us: overrated. Rooms do not have proper air con but a mobile cooling device which was not only loud but even mid of October could not cool down the room temperature noticeably. Our bathroom had no proper shower so we needed to stand in the bathtub. Quite a few ants In the room. One elevator only. Drinks t the bar also rather pricey. The one dinner we had at the Hotel restaurant was rather average. Restaurant and lobby warm and a bit sticky air.

We had a most welcoming and comfortable stay at Aqua Natura Bay. The staff was most kind and courteous. The restaurant is amazing at breakfast but equally great at dinner. The food was always fresh and the restaurant staff again super friendly. The roof top pool offers an amazing view on the island and it’s cliffs. The fitness was very well equipped. Small supermarket, restaurants and city center are close by. There are free natural pools in close proximity.

The hotel has amazing ocean views from the room balcony and the roof top pool. Get up early and watch the sun rise from the roof top pool for a great start to your day. It’s only a few minutes walk from both of the natural pools in Porto Moniz. It offers great facilities, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful.

Parking - just something to be aware of if you’re driving to the hotel. They have a limited number of spaces for guests, if they’re being used you’ll need to park in the paid parking spaces which can be hard to find during busy periods. Room Air Conditioning- only issue I had really with the room is the air conditioning which is a noisy unit beside the balcony door. We found it hard to keep the room temperature comfortable at night, so that affected our sleep.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. We'd decided to venture out from Funchal and had wondered whether the hotel standards would slip the further away from the capital; this hotel confirmed most certainly not! It's set in a delightful quiet location at one end of Porto Moniz, only a stones throw from the sea. It's modern, airy and has superb facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals in the hotel restaurant, which were prepared to a high standard. The hotel's spa and sauna were a particularly nice feature, with my fiancée enjoying multiple massage treatments. You can easily walk into the centre of Porto Moniz within 5-mins, where there are other restaurants on offer. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for sea, sun and tranquility. Free parking was on offer directly outside the hotel reception.

Very little to complain about. Potentially the restaurant could have a few more staff, so that waits between courses could be shortened. Similarly a few extra pairs of hands at breakfast would mean the service runs more smoothly. Overall though, we struggle to find issue with this hotel.

Very comfortable room with amazing sea and aquarium views. Great location, coasty room, great wide balcony/ terrace. Everything you need in a room. Helpful front desk and breakfast staff. Saff was very friendly and kind, always smiling. Breakfast was amazing, with a fine selection and choice of food. Great spa, recommend massage. Amazing infinity pool (open in winter months but not heated). I had dinner in the hotel restaurant and was very happy with the menu, got ice cream as a gift. And they really pamper you, the welcome drink with personalised  note, a jar of jam when I checked out. Great place for relaxation. The best part for me was the sound of waves and wind; I slept like a baby.
