The hotel, the room and the equipment are great. We got a welcome drink, and had a lovely talk with the recepcionist. They offer free clear water, so you don't have to buy bottled water. They have a big parking spot, but the road a little steep, need to used to it. The breakfast first looks small, but it has everything, fresh and delicious and the view is awesome.

We tried the hotel restaurant, on a busy day, but the service was below average. The drinks and the food was good, but we had to wait a really long time for the waitress, who was cold as ice... If the restaurant service had been better, we would have been very satisfied with our time there, because there are no more great restaurants in Porto Moniz.

Our Studio was very well equipped, with kitchen kit, 2 plate hob top and a fridge. Shower was marvellous. The balcony was nice and big, but with no nice view due to the buildings in front. Breakfast was very good, with lovely views of the sea and pools from the balcony and outdoor tables.

My only gripe was the bed. It was just too hard and stirred up my back and hip pain. The Municipal Pools were closed all the time due to the high seas from the week before. We swam in the Old Pools but we we in re disappointed by the seas.

Location is great. Only short walk to buffet breakfast served on a rooftop with stunning sea views. Fresh omelette options served if requested. Plenty of fruit, pastries, yogurts. A closed in glassed area for rainy or windy times. Studio facilities for cooking good. Fridge large & worked well. Clean, comfortable bed. Pressure shower, always hot water available. Added bonus of towels & robes provided for using in the natural sea water pools. Staff friendly & helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Would highly recommend staying here. Please note the walk to breakfast includes a slightly steep stone path, be careful if wet. There is a bar to hold onto.

The ground floor rooms (5 & 6) are at the same level as the car park, so lack of privacy (bed can be seen if net curtain not drawn) and general disturbance early from people- car doors noise and car lights and fumes. So having doors open would be difficult for light sleepers.

The studios are part of the Aqua hotels group. Big underground parking available if you are driving. You get free access to the natural pools ( the pools were closed when we arrived due to weather conditions but they reopened the next morning ) . Great experience!!!! Must try! They provided robes and slippers and there is a hot tube on the roof terrace. The pool and sauna are located in a nearby hotel. But we didn't get a chance to try out as we were only staying one night. The room had a cooker and fridge with a Mini Bar if needed but we got a lovely surprise by management receiving a welcome bottle of bubbly. As well a gift ( local jam jar) when checking out! Can't wish for more!

Breakfast is located in a nearby hotel ( maybe 2 min walk) it wasn't a hassle for us but could be for someone else. The view from the breakfast buffet was incredible overlooking the ocean and natural pools. Good choice ( eggs, bacon, sausage breads and fruit etc) enough to fuel up for sure.

Nice apartment, with a small kitchenette, good bathroom and shower, very nice balcony. Bed is amazing, large and comfy. Shower is large, water pressure not great though. Balcony is large enough for 2 people, and they have insects screens at the balcony doors. Breakfast is at the main hotel, you have to walk like 200m; some limited options (some eggs/omelette, cereals, bread, gems, cooked and fresh vegetables, sausages and bacon, some cookies/desserts, fresh juices and fruits), but good enough for us; they had vegan milk (soy, rice, oats - depending on day) which was nice! They have a spacious underground garage. You also get tickets to the lava pools!

Our room was ready with a delay of over 1h. There was a lot of noise in front of the building (a lot of traffic, people, cars coming and going) and also there was some construction nearby which generated constant noise. No AC.

Breakfasts were served on the rooftop with a beautiful view of the ocean. The staff was polite and helpful, the breakfasts were ok, although a bit monotonous (a big plus for the delicious freshly squeezed orange juice). Additional dishes were served upon request (including omelet or pancakes). Thank you for the nice birthday surprise :) The location was in a quiet town, there were small shops and restaurants nearby. The biggest advantage was the staff - the nicest I have ever met during all my holidays. The hotel was clean and fresh. We loved the rooftop jacuzzi.

The location may be a bit problematic if you are looking for attractions so it would be good to rent a car, but if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place it will be perfect.

Good location, nice spacious rooms and delicious breakfast. This is one of the 3 hotels under one brand, which gives you accesses to plenty other facilities and nice services. I loved spending time here, enjoying coffee while overlooking the natural pools with waves crashing the stones - perfect morning routine! The staff is helpful and very friendly, always ready to help you.

My personal preferences, not to complain: too soft pillows. My hubby enjoyed them, but for me too plushy.

This place was amazing! The staff at check-in was very friendly and gave us each a welcome drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options). When we went to our room, we also found a bottle of sparkling wine on ice, which was nice! The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. There was a balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy morning coffee, an espresso maker in room, bath robes, and a mini kitchen if you want to cook, though there are lots of places to eat in the area with good food for relatively cheap. The roof had a nice lounging area with comfortable chairs and a hot tub. The property gives you free tickets to the local pools, which are gorgeous and definitely worth a stop at (though be prepared -- it's ocean water so they are often chilly!). Their breakfast is amazing and is located on the rooftop of their sister property. They have a whole range of pastries, fruits, cheeses, coffee/tea and sparkling wine to grab. You can also select a main dish (eggs benedict, omelet, pancakes, etc.). They also gave us a homemade apple jam upon check-out which was delicious with some of the cheese we had purchased. Definitely good value for the money. Wish we had stayed longer! Highly recommend!

The staff was super friendly and helpful! The best thing was that we could use the facilities at other Aqua Natura hotels (pool, spa, gym) that were only 5-7 min walk from our unit. That option wasn't mentioned on Booking, so it was a nice surprise. We stayed at multiple hotels at Madeira and this was definitely THE best hotel we stayed at. It was all about the small things (a welcome drink, a small gift at check out, recommendations on hikes, planning and booking spa for us) arranged by the hotel staff that made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Breakfast in terms of both service and variety was also exceptional! Although the restaurant, located in the neighbouring unit, needs some improvements when it comes to service during lunch/dinner hours. I would consider a different restaurant for dinner. Overall our stay here was so amazing it made me write this Booking-review, which I never do :) It really exceeded all expectations!
