Beds and pillows so comfortable and the linens and towels. For 1 euro get a pool towel pool was nice. Quiet at night . Hair dryer worked. Not near the port area but only 6-8 euros to the port houses. Can see the sun set from bridge near hotel .

Needs hooks for drying towels if you want people to reuse towels they need a place to dry. Parking was ok we left our car and Uber, no kettle to make tea . Very steep narrow roads to hotel . Nearest laundry is a confusing ride Lavandaria self service Sem Molas ladies helped us machines clean and already put soap in you just show up with clothes and coins you can get there also. You also need the card to put in lights to make them work .

The breakfast was perfect, the variety was surprisingly large and tasty. The location right on the highway and away from traffic was excellent, 15 minutes from Everywhere in Porto by car and from Gaia as well. The shopping center right next to the hotel is great. The rooms were OK sized, the pool was great for the kids to play in and the hours were long. Free parking was perfect for us. The staff is very nice.

The service was excellent, the facilities were adequate, though perhaps the rooms could use some remodeling to make them more modern. We opted for the stay with breakfast, and it was the best decision. It was varied and delicious. I must add that the location and having parking is a wonderful bonus. I highly recommend it for families and couples because it has everything you need. Lastly, I want to congratulate Andreia at the hotel reception for her outstanding service and attentiveness. A perfect 10 all around. The attention was excellent.

Just got back from a few days break in Portugal. We wanted to stay near Porto but also in a quiet area, and this hotel was a very good choice. It's super close to the airport (13 minutes by car) the room was spotless and we found the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was of good quality and well presented, loads of fresh fruit too, and so was the evening buffet, plenty of choice and good value for money. The staff was so helpful, polite and professional, specially the lovely Erica, always so attentive and friendly. Don Pedro, the general manager, was equally attentive and made us feel at home. The hotel location is a little odd, however, only a short walk from the charming villa of Afurada where there were many places to eat, lovely little place by the sea! There's a big supermarket and shopping centre about 10 minutes walk. Taxi to the center of Porto was about 10 minutes and around 7 euros, so even without a car we didn't feel stuck. The pool area and gardens are very well maintained, and my daughter loved the children's park near the pool; it was also quiet and always found a sun lounge. We loved every minute of our stay and we will return for sure.

As expected. Large warm quiet room on 3rd floor. Breakfast was exceptional, with everything you could wish for. Short walk down to the fishing village where even in 2023 I saw a woman in traditional clothes....and not for tourists. But don't follow Google Maps for the return it involves traffic. Return through village...UP hill! I arrived & left by the amazing bridge over the River, Safe on the bridge but exits are tricky! Late checkout was great as it rained for the first time since leaving Madrid with my rucksack!

It was fine! Don't be put off by the grim exterior. Its great inside!

The play area, garden and the breakfast was great! Bonus, we were very delighted, when we saw a Birthday cake waiting for us in the room, celebrating our kids birthday. That was really a very sweet gesture. Thank you Novotel Gaia and staff. :)

Nothing critical. The room's sofa bed could be better, it is too hard and the metal legs of it stand out, and we were hurting our toes everytime we walked by it. It would help if some cushioning is done near the legs of the sofa.

Breakfast ,room and bed was comfy .

Sun beds were terrible ,and bar food and drinks were expensive .

The breakfast was very good with good coffee, different kinds of bread, sweets and fresh fruit. The location of the hotel was great, close to the local fish village with great restaurants. The hotel was located on the top of a hill, so we have had the best view to sunset.

The pool was a little small, but in general there were not so many people in the pool, so it was not a big problem.

The breakfast buffet was correct The room was fine, with comfortable beds. The staff at the restaurant in the evening (Erika and Ricardo) were excellent. Very friendly, taking very good care of us and surprising us with a birthday cacke and lights for my son. The receptionists were very nice too :-) The hotel is situated close to the marina and many authentic fish restaurants in Vila Nova de Gaia Nice pool area. A good place to start a run
