cleaning service was good. staff was very helpful.

don’t get tricked into this Hotel for the roof garden and pool. you will not use it as there are no comfortable sunbeds. opening hours for indoor pool is not long enough. skip the evening buffet for 25€. Not worth it. very noisy as soon as you open the windows.

wonderful view of land and sea in room 1409! Indoor pool. Room service for supper after a long day of sightseeing was appreciated.

paper thin walls. so if you have rowdy neighbours it’s no fun. Pool opens from 9h to 20h; I would have used it at 7h and at 9h.

Welcoming and polite staff , good view , nice rooftop bar and indoor pool , spacious room with beatiful view and welcome drinks , big comfirtable bed , the hotel location is not very far from some beaches , the historical city center , some sightseeings and monuments and shops

There was some dirt in the air conditioner drain holes above the door , the gym could be better equiped with more workout machines . The hotel is not offering free transfer fron the Porto airport. There was some burnt cloth on the iron which i asked to be provided with for temporary use .

Great range of facilities. family room spacious and very convenient for 2 parents and 2/3 children. rooftop bar / pool very pleasant as weather improved. Indoor pool very good. Gym was very large and clearly new with cardio machines. Breakfast room staff and cleaning staff were excellent.

Breakfast a little pricey - especially if you didn’t want it every day. Location is a little remote - luckily Uber to the rescue. Bathroom looked a little tired and shower water temperature varied randomly every day. Bar / Reception staff appeared over-staffed and were a little grumpy. Gym lacking in basic equipment like a bench dumbbells / stretch mats etc.

Breakfast was really nice, with multiple choices (savoury and sweet) and they made sure there was a different variety of food every day. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was really comfortable. We were on 11th floor but the elevator was so quick that in a second we were up. The hotel has a 24h parking, which is very handy if you rent a car as we did. The location of the hotel is also good to get out of Porto without going through the city center.

The indoor pool was really really nice and I loved that they provide to you the towels once there. It makes it very practical. Unfortunately the temperature in the room was too hot to stay in and there were also only few chairs where you can seat, and there weren't very comfortable.

Easy to access location and a spacious parking with chargers for electric cars. Beautiful and quiet room with all the amenities. Restaurant and breakfast was great. The staff was excellent, very kind and helpful. Totally recommend.

The room was clean but it smelled of cigar. The reception said that all rooms are non-smoking but the quests who stayed before us, broke that rule. We also found ashes outside the window. We had to keep the windows open the whole time during our staying there as the smell was intense.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ipanema Hotel a lot. The continental breakfast, the rooftop bar with delicious cocktails. Big kudos for the cleaning staff, they do an amazing job! Very friendly staff at the reception and in the restaurant. We also enjoyed the good looks of Diogo, a big plus ! :p

The bed was comfortable, and the walk-in shower was great! 2 swimming pools..wow!! The rooftop pool and bar had the greatest view! The staff was very helpful

The rooftop bar prices were a bit on the high side for the hotel costumers I reckon. The room was a decent size but average 4star, not 5 I won't classify this hotel as a 5star really, maybe a good 4star hotel, but not a 5. Only 1 coffee bag in the kettle area and no biscuits as I found instead in other 5stars hotel

We had a lovely stay here, the breakfast was great as there was plenty of choice. The hotel's facilities were brilliant and we made lots of use of the rooftop bar and swimming pool. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and spacious.

However, it should be noted that the location of hotel is in an area that is deemed as unsafe. Our taxi driver informed us of this and advised us to not explore the local area. We therefore got taxis to and from the centre which only cost a few euros. During our stay we struggled with getting our room cleaned as it seemed to be at random times. We got it cleaned once during our stay which was fine however there should be an option to get clean towels.

Room was large and beds were comfortable. There was a bus stop very close to property to go to the city centre. Breakfast selection was very good and items were replenished frequently. However eating breakfast was not a relaxing experience due to the large numbers of people (see below). Hotel was not in the city centre which is a bonus. Very close to the mouth of the river. Higher floors show a good view of the mouth of the river and the ocean beyond.

There were no restaurants nearby and area around the hotel was vey shabby. Hotel is very large and busy catering to large tour groups. Not enough elevators to move people up and down during the busy hours of breakfast and check outs. Breakfasts were not relaxed …too many people, noisy and an eating frenzy. Saturday was particularly bad as it appeared that tour groups were in a rush to get on their tour buses.
