Location is not very close to Haram as described.The location is fine for younger people.

The lobby was beautiful, and the rooms were clean. A highlight during Ramadan was the gahwa provided for guests, which was a thoughtful touch.The WiFi was SUPERB. The location is walkable, making it convenient. Though our room for four was small, I actually loved its cozy feel and great view. A special experience was hearing the muazzin’s call to prayer clearly and being able to pray along with the jama’ah of Masjid al-Haram from the room.

During check-in at this 5-star hotel, the receptionist didn’t greet us, which felt unprofessional. The furniture is outdated, resembling the 1960s, yet the hotel charges premium rates in 2025. The biggest issue was that, despite booking a room for four people, only two duvets were provided, while the other two were given old brown blankets. Housekeeping initially insisted this was hotel policy, which was shocking for a 5-star establishment. Only after repeated requests did they provide additional duvets This experience was disappointing and did not reflected a true 5-star standard.Lastly, it lacks in-room coffee machines, which should be a basic amenity reflecting its luxury status.

Shohada Hotel has the best customer service in Makkah ( in my opinion as someone who has stayed at many hotels in Makkah and around the world ) The receptionists, the bell boys, the cleaners….every single person goes above and beyond to give you the best customer service. Everyday, I would receive a call from Guest Services to check how my stay is and ask if I have any issues. They would daily give complimentary Fruit baskets. Housekeeping was around all hours of the day and night. The hotel is extremely clean. Beautifully scented and bright There is a Playroom for children

Nothing at all to dislike.

My visit was during Ramadan. Overall, the hotel was excellent. The suhoor was wonderful and better than expected everything was available at the buffet. It was also close to the Haram, about a 10–15 minute walk.

One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it has a mosque. Sometimes the Grand Mosque (Al-Masjid Al-Haram) gets crowded, so I wanted to pray in the hotel’s mosque. However, I was surprised to find that the hotel mosque doesn’t follow the prayers of the Grand Mosque and instead has a different imam, which bothered me. Another issue is that the hotel furniture is old, I hope it gets updated.

Near to haram around 10 to 15 mintues walk. Very amazing lobby, rooms were spacious with comfy beds. We had junior suite and came with 2 bathrooms!! Amazing choice of suhoor items. Stayed for 3 nights from 7th to 10th March so was not expensive at around 1000dh per night during ramadan. Staff were helpful. Miss Ishraq and Mr Khalid omran gave easy check in and check out and good service. Elevators were fast and not crowded. I must say I am impressed by this hotel.

Suhoor food items were pretty much same each day and more focus should be given on improving quality of items.

The hotel is clean and cozy. It is 5 min walk to Haram for a fast walker and 10 min walk for a slow walker. From the reception to concierge to house keepers all excellent. However, the toilet seat was not comfortable for fat people because it was very close to the wash hand basin. The break fast is not top-notch for a 5 star hotel, and menus need to be added for break fast buffet. The shower drainage in room 739 is partially blocked. There is a socket attached to the bed that has a green light that is always on and makes sleeping difficult.

No towels in the room Bathroom fan was weak Room was small for 4 people 2 foldable beds were placed in the room even though the booking was for quadruple beds Laborers very noisy outside our room in the morning hours even after I notified one of them that there was lots of noise Parking spaces were narrow Room cards didn’t work

I like the location, room, cleanliness and above all the variety of breakfast buffet. The faucet of the sink was broken when I checked-in. As soon as I noticed it and informed the housekeeping/maintenance, they repaired it within minutes. Excellent job by friendly staff.

While taking a shower the water was draining slowly. Later I noticed that there was some water outside the shower on the bathroom floor. Maybe need to check the sealants. Informed the housekeeping while I was about to check-out.

I like the location,the ambience of the lobby, and the room. There's a need to work on the restriction of food from the restaurant into the room. Some customers do not find it easy coming for breakfast before 10 a.m.,they rely on their roommate,spouse, or parent to bring food. The supervisor was rude on the first occasion. I was supposed to get a room with 3 double beds, but I got 2 double and 1 single bed for three adults. The room appeared cramped.

Stayed two days in Ramadhan, bnice and clean hotel as a whole, the room I have been staying very spacious, bathroom was very clean and good size. Bed/mattress very comfortable with very clean bedding. Staff were really friendly, helpful and can speak English ( really plus point for me) Specially Mr Farhad was really helpful. I had one meal there as a Sahur ( early morning meal before fasting) excellent, delicious and plenty of options. It’s about seven minutes walk to Masjid Haram-King Abdul Aziz gate.
