Firstly, Barton Cottage Bed and Breakfast was immaculate, the style was lovely, clean, warm and cosy. The style was great, the size was great, the food was great but probably the best part were the owners. They were so accommodating, the breakfast was amazing. We were probably a more complex customer bringing with us a dog, baby and toddler. Louisa and Tom accommodated for us so well, our dog was allowed which was a plus but they even catered for two small children. I didn't tell Louisa I was a coeliac because usually I can work around this, but she went out of her way to have something for me when she found out, even after I told her not to worry, she was so thoughtful and accommodating!

We have visited the area for the last few years and this is definitely the best property we have stayed at. The location was perfect for our purposes and was a really good find; an extremely comfortable and spacious room. The owners were incredibly helpful and friendly. Louisa gave us lots of information about the area to help us make the most of our stay. A choice of breakfast options were offered and were fab. Louisa is an excellent cook!

It was a really lovely stay in the beautiful thatched Barton Cottage, the garden room was very pretty, clean, roomy, fresh milk and filtered water in the fridge and home made snacks, all made it very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, all local produce and cooked in the family kitchen where you were made to feel welcome. Tom and Louisa were so welcoming, would highly recommend if anyone is passing through this lovely village.

Good quality bedding and furnishings Very good ensuite shower room The host was very nice and really looked after you while you were staying, very nice breakfast on offer with many choices to suit all tastes

Everything! The communication was amazing from the start! The house is so beautiful, Louise and her family were so welcoming, we arrived in the late evening and had no trouble with getting in! The room was very clean and extremely comfortable and had everything we needed.

The fact we were only staying for one night as it was so lovely.

Everything was so good. Louisa was exceptional with her delicious breakfast, very friendly, and a warm welcome through out the stay. My girls even loved the company of Purdy....I will certainly be staying here again....they made our stay most memorable.....the vibe of dining room is so fantastic....

We were visiting family who live in the village so for us perfect location and Louisa could not be more helpful, would definitely stay again. Thank you so much!

Maybe shampoo and conditioner as got caught in the rain and couldn’t wash my hair, we didn’t take our own as was only staying for one night, other than that we had no complaints

Louisa was a perfect ,welcoming friendly host. Breakfast was perfect and we enjoyed the little touches. Beautiful thatched cottage .

We did get a little cold at one point so having a heating option would have been good without worrying or disturbing the host to put heating on.

The downstairs room was beautiful. Plenty of space to relax with its own little garden with a seating area. The bed was very comfortable. Louisa and Tom were very friendly. Breakfast menu was great. Plenty of choice. We loved the pancakes, the cooked breakfasts. Home made marmalade with croissants. Fresh berries and yogurt. Great strong tasting coffee too and fresh orange juice. Yummy! Where Barton cottage is situated made it quick and easy to get too many attractions. Abbotsbury gardens, Monkey world 15 minutes. Lulworth cove and Weymouth around 20 minutes.

Only one little niggle. There was a bit of noise from guests moving about upstairs in the late evening but I guess that should be expected when staying in an old cottage.

Great location, the whole property was beautiful, well looked after. The room was big, clean with a stylish bathroom. I particularly enjoyed the comfortable bed and the delicious breakfast. The friendly host Louisa and the family made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Definitely highly recommend.
